Iraq War Veteran Beaten at Las Vegas Airport

This is pretty disturbing, and more situations like this have been happening on a regular basis since two reports have come out by Missouri, and the Federal Government, warning about right wing extremism.

A National Guardsman, and Iraq War Vet about to be deployed again, was beaten at McCarran Airport in Las Vegas for no apparent reason.

Here is the video of the incident as reported by the ABC affiliate in Vegas:

Even though this incident happened last year, it is still something that resonates into today's world with the two reports that have come out labeling anyone who disagrees with the government as extremists.

The other question that comes up is why didn't this get reported last year by the mainstream media? Why is it just coming out to light now?

This is what it has come too? This sounds like Nazi Germany to me. If the government doesn't like you, than they will beat the snot out of you. Soon it will be "Show me your papers."

  1. Sorry Robert - I'm afraid this is only the beginning ...

  2. So policy it to lie to the people and beat them?

  4. I wonder what he did and said before the officer pulled out his baton. He's a pretty big guy, who was obviously mad he missed his flight over some BS (about a sprite?). I won't say the force used against him wasn't excessive... It looks like he stops fighting when the taser is pointed at him, however he may have been resisting arrest, refusing to lay down, or follow the commands of the officers, which lead to the tasing.

Although the allegations are disturbing, the film is hardly resolves the issue in any clear manner. Was the Sgt a threat to the officers? Was he a victim of unprofessional law enforcement trying to put a Sgt in his place because they felt insulted? Too many unanswered questions.

  6. True, the film was grainy and didn't reveal much of what actually transpired but, given the history of the TSA, they are known to be trigger-happy bullies who should be punished for excessive use of force. They should be held accountable for their actions, and not be protected by bureaucratic tactics.

  7. I feel for the solider, yet to comeback and question TSA officers is very questionable. I am sure that they weren't feeling that threatened. The connection of this video and this website means what?

  8. The connection is simple if you read the post! It is just a little ironic events like this are happening after reports of right wing extremism have come out.

  9. As for the issue of whether or not he provoked the officers is clear. The police department hasn't issued a statement saying to the fact, and they are currently conducting an internal affairs investigation. If it was clear that their officers acted appropriately, they would have already issued that statement.

  10. This incident occurred long before the DHS or the Missouri reports were released. And when we try to falsely connect an incident like this to the DHS right wing extremist memo we only make ourselves look like what the left thinks we are. A bunch of kooks who will say anything to discredit J-No and the Prez.

We must be scrupulously accurate with our criticisms or we will be dismissed out of hand. Nobody but the choir will be impressed with this report and I am frankly disappointed that the story was presented this way. ... Read More

That said, these got dam cops should have been fired and prosecuted.

  11. I am an Iraq veteran, and I just went through McCarran Airport a few days ago. I was unaware of this incident at the time, and I'm glad of that. These videos would have forced me to change my travel plans.

I admire good cops, but those people were not good cops. They were thugs, and should be treated accordingly: they should be fired, arrested, and prosecuted vigorously.

Until Las Vegas deals with those rogue "officers", that city is off of my travel list.

  12. This is absolutely atrocious. Cops are such pigs.

  13. I agree with the post saying that we Conservatives need to be scrupulously careful in our words. To borrow a phrase from the Women's Libbers, who said they have to work twice as hard as a man to get half the pay, we have to be twice as accurate as the mainstream media and government to get a half measure of credibility. Don't rumor-monger folks. We are NOT redneck, knee-jerking, undisciplined rabble.
