Barney Frank: Public Plan Will Lead Us to Government-Run Health Care

The leaders in overnment have been telling us that a public option would not lead to total control by the government over our health care. However, all it takes is a camera and somebody asking a question to revel their true goals:

Like every thing else they will sneak this behind our backs. It is time to stand up and defend our rights as Liberty loving people.

R3VOLUTION!

  1. We, the people, need to force them, the politicians, to "join" the health plan. If it's so great for us, then by all means they should be "forced" to join the rest of us lucky souls, don't you think? I think the Health Plan would die the death it deserves if they had to join. On August 2nd, I plan to travel from Portland to the Dalles (85 mile drive from my house) to attend Senator Merkley's town hall. I want to see him face-to-face as I ask the question...why isn't Congress getting on board with the rest of us? I can't wait to hear the double speak. 2010 can't come quick enough and we will vote a lot of these backstabbing pundits out of office.

Please forgive my ignorance but exactly is "Single Care"? Is it this crazy health care that they are trying to cram down our throats?

  8. Congress has a government run health plan now with the full approval and support of the drug companies. It's better than any of the Health Insurance providers can provide... The insurance companies own the state governments because they control the real estate investments thus local tax rates... I don't see any solution other than for government to take over and put capitalism out of business and start taxing every one at the same rate... if we can't be free then let us all be slaves.

  9. Trust me, you don't want single government payment. They will control everything about your healthcare. I am an RN and see what the government paid payers do. you will no longer get the best meds, just the cheapest. Sometimes that is OK, but other times it is not. You won't get a test you need done until you see a specialist that didn't need to see you in first place because your private physician could have taken care of you. All while waiting and worrying in our current system for about a month. That time will extend over the next few years to 5 or 6 months. In some cases, you may not be able to work and be productive until you are cleared by the specialist since your private doctor could not get the test they originally wanted to order. Just hope it isn't a tumor!! You will be dead or very ill by then!
