Eric Holder Targets Rightwing Bloggers--Including this One!


There are rumors floating around that the Department of Justice has hired a group of ex-democratic bloggers to troll the internet for websites that are critical to President Obama and post comments that demand support for his policies.

I can say that I have seen some troll activity on this site from lefties, but I didn't think anything of the situation...until now!

The Muffled Oar first reported on this revelation:

The Muffled Oar has received a great number of tips from DOJ employees about activities taking place within the Department since Holder became Attorney General. The Muffled Oar will monitor, sort and report this information. The Muffled Oar welcomes other whistleblowers to report on any corruption or political motivation going on in the Department.


Regarding the DOJ Blog Squad, some other blogs have noted that DOJ appears to be visiting and monitoring their postings critical of Obama.
Then a website called the Hippo's Ass reported on the fact that the DOJ had visited their website:

Back in August I posted a few videos of Rep. John Dingell's Town Hall on Health Care. Over the next few days I wasn't surprised to see a few visits from House.gov and Senate.gov on my web site. As you can see, near the bottom of my blog is a counter that tracks visits to this site. I can't tell who visited, but I can see what I.P. address they were using.


Imagine my surprise that a few weeks later I see that someone from DOJ.gov logged onto my site.
So, I decided to check my site stats from a website I use to track activity to this site, and low and behold I found a visit from the United States Department of Justice.

They were on this site for almost 1 hour! I have proof of this if anyone questions me, and once I can figure out how to put a snap shot up on the website, I will prove that the DOJ appears to be trolling rightwing and libertarian websites. I will also keep looking to see if they come back and document that as well.

  4. I just want to know when the lefties became so Anti First Amendment? Weren't they the ones protesting everything George Bush did and blogging Anti Bush BS every day of the week? Why the double standard here? Why doesn't Free Speech mean anything to them anymore just because it's their guy under attack? More and more people are turning against this administration. The Dems regime will be overturned with the senators and reps elections in 2010. Obama will be a one termer!

  6. Are you surprised? The current administration cannot handle any sort of criticism and although says they champion the 1st Amendment, they seem to love to trample on it if it doesn't suit their purpose. Where O Where is the ACLU?

  7. Oh...um....I think Obama is doing a great job. I love the Republican party leaders and I want more taxes, less freedom, a govt insurance plan....yeah. Obama deserved the Peace Prize, Dick Cheney is a great American, this Ron Paul is nut job....

  8. All I have to say is that George W Bush was a very good president compared to Mr Barack Hussein. And btw, If my websites do well in the following months, I am thinking of starting a conservative news/politics website or blog to help show the right direction to the masses

    go to site you want to copy
    hold down shift button, hit "print screen" twice
    go to publisher or paint
    right click paste
    save as a jpeg
    upload to screen.
    see if that works

  13. Even Nixon with his squad of "plumbers" didn't have the Liberals officially classified as "terrorists" as this administration has done. If that wasn't an ominous enough sign that the worst is yet to come, then I can't imagine what would be.

    How would the press react if GWB ordered Homeland Defense list "Left Wing Extremists" as terrorists? That their organizations needed to be watched and infiltrated? (Yes, I know GWB didn't run the DHS. And that Nobama doesn't run it now. But they goose-step to Nobama's tune.)

  15. It seems to me that the most likely trolling will be to send one of them to make seemingly sympathetic comments that take extremist positions. I have had some recent comments posted on my blog that at first blush appear to be from overly exited individuals who agree with my opinions. Some of the use language that is way over the top and occasionally offensive (in racist or societal terms).

    I have taken to reviewing and removing them if I feel they are illegitimate or if I find them offensive.

    Trying to make us look bad by associating us with extreme and offensive language is an old liberal technique.

Hey folks...I don't identify myself as a lefty or righty or conservative or liberal...I think all of that crap is a bunch extra baggage that we unfortunately take on to our own demise as GOOD AMERICANS...and which makes the agenda of the Powers that Be to manipulate us GOOD AMERICANS, who take on these seemingly opposing labels, that much more successful and efficient. Let’s start to focus on the common good and freedoms that we want as Americans, who take on all sorts of labels, and that we desire and hold sacred. This connection is what is being lost and it keeps us from keeping our so called "elected officials" subject to us the PEOPLE and our collective desires for our nation. Don't be fooled by these officials with REPUBLICAN or DEMOCRAT beside their names....majority of those titles are merely mask and costumes they need to wear to perform in the big play which is reaching its pivotal point...will it be POWER to the PEOPLE (true liberty-justice & freedom), or POWER to the few and greedy (Oppression of the masses rights and liberties). I pushed for Obama to be in office for symbolic reason...with my hope not in him...but in the American people as a whole...US, and I know we are not perfect but I truly believe we are good people at the core for the most part and that's for those on both sides of the liberal/conservative table. So let’s remember not to become puppets in oppressive agenda and remember to recognize, acknowledge and support JUSTICE & FREEDOM from wherever it comes from Liberal, Conservative, Democrat, Republican...that is the truly AMERICAN thing to do! UNITED WE STAND...DIVIDED WE FALL!!!

  19. We should all start looking at who is running as a Republican or Libertarian in our Senate and Representative races. We should all get involved and see that conservatives are elected or re-elected to Congress. Start now and finish strong in November of 2010

  21. I see quite a few visits from DC when I look at my stats on www.PoliticalChristian.org. I can't tell if they are good guys or the government, but there is a disproportional amount of interest from this area.

  23. I was in my blocked senders list the other day. Two of my friends got dropped into there. Could not understand why I was not getting their mail. And, low and behold, I found that I had blocked "Janet Napitaliano" question spelling as some point. I do not remember do this - but, she must have sent me some question I like Obama stuff and we deleted her. But, to come directly from her.... it rude considering her position in his cabinet.
