Ron Paul's Audit the Fed Bill Gutted by Democratic Controlled Congress


Not like this would have been a surprise, but with over 300 co-sponsors we thought it might go through un-touched:

Oct. 30 (Bloomberg) -- Representative Ron Paul, the Texas Republican who has called for an end to the Federal Reserve, said legislation he introduced to audit monetary policy has been “gutted” while moving toward a possible vote in the Democratic-controlled House.

The bill, with 308 co-sponsors, has been stripped of provisions that would remove Fed exemptions from audits of transactions with foreign central banks, monetary policy deliberations, transactions made under the direction of the Federal Open Market Committee and communications between the Board, the reserve banks and staff, Paul said today.

“There’s nothing left, it’s been gutted,” he said in a telephone interview. “This is not a partisan issue. People all over the country want to know what the Fed is up to, and this legislation was supposed to help them do that.”
 It is time to get on the phone with everyone in Washington...Congressman and Senators and demand action against the illegal Federal Reserve.  Call the Capitol Switchboard 202-224-3121 and speak with everyone you can!

  1. That's ok - when Dems lose power in next years election, it can be brought back and passed with an OVERWHELMING majority.

    Then the sheeple who voted in the Dems can discover exactly how clear and transparent the Fed has been.

    We need one last hurrah before every single American who has an IRA or 401K is totally destroyed and will not have enough to retire.

    I almost thought the people would find out where TRILLIONS of dollars went, please make sure the elite prosper at the poor and middle classes expense.

  4. Can a conspiracy be proven when we regain control of the country? The lemmings get distracted with torture investigations. Here is a real realit show for them. Their are YouTube clips of Barney Frank and others defending Fannie/Freddie several years ago and now Barney Frank wants to do even more. He is too smart to not be doing something which will destroy the Free Enterprise Reward America that we had prior to Obama's election. It was not pute and Bush was far from perfect, especially fiscal policy, but this is like Bush holding the football and Obama kicking it for the final push into world government with the US in a less than leadership role.

  5. You really think the Republicans are going to uncover this mess? It is clear that an audit would open a can of worms where about the entire gang would have to be replaced. As an old partner of mine used to say, we ought to go in there with a fire house and wash the entire crew out the door.
