From Kate the Conservative:

I keep getting burned out with politics and the whole mess going on around us, but the truth is the people trying to do something for this nation who are trying to bring it back to the reality of what’s happening are only going to get worn out faster if we leave it all up to them and don’t take a stand ourselves.

I am always impressed by the energy, positivism and passion for this nation and its values it was founded upon that I find in several people on YouTube, and on blogs everywhere.

This nation was founded upon logic and principles and morals that no other nation in the world was founded on. History, unfortunately, repeats itself, because mankind after a while forgets its history. I have been burnt out by the overwhelming odds that seem to surround us when I think of the lack of knowledge and the abundance of ignorance in our school systems. How is it we came so far from where we started in such little time? Truth is it happened because people actually believe that ignorance is bliss and that instant gratification is essential. In turn, those who fight against ignorance and fight for a moral compass to live by so that chaos does not take over, are now getting burned out and can’t fight anymore.

The rebellious teenager who wants the keys to his parent’s car in order to go drinking with his friends will fight and fight with his parents and consider it unfair and claim his parents “just don’t understand him.” The parent will hold out for a good reason, but when the teenager persistently pushes his parents over time with numerous things he thinks are unfair, they will eventually break over time and become so burned out that they will eventually cave. Of course this is not always the case with all parents, but in reality this is an allegory for what has happened to this country.

Somehow though it's more than just an allegory, it's actually a small example of what really is happening and how it develops. The young rebellious teens go to college and feel they need some sort of importance in life, something to make them feel significant, so they find some sort of cause and fight for it. When the hippies found their “cause” to protest the war, they started a movement that would continue far into the future. Now we have a whole lot of wannabe hippies who feel they missed out and must protest something or other. They found something to make them feel just as important and significant as the history books made it sound for the hippie baby boomers. Well, those very hippie baby boomers got us into debt and lost all that sensible conservatism their parents and grandparents before them had. They threw it all out the window wanting to be free, but never thought about “us”-the following generations. Of course they didn’t think about “us;” they were “free”, and they felt important, and now they are professors, still teaching the same philosophy of being free and fighting for causes that aren’t even causes. They ignore the real cause, the lack of responsibility and discipline that has now taken over this country. Sure they had their bra-free, hippy-loving, anti-war days, but did they ever actually do anything good for anyone or truly contribute anything to mankind or their country? Nope, instead they are now trying to vote in more taxes to tax their children and grandchildren to the point of starvation, but they think their kids will somehow all survive on the big government's money they so helpfully fed and fattened. Yes, somehow were all supposed to survive on tax payers' dollars that will be funneled to us by the government. So whose paying the taxes if we’re all taking money from the government and not earning anything to be taxed?

The conservatives are a dying race, we won’t be around forever to feed and pay for the medical care and a roof over the heads of the liberal community, especially when they keep attacking and viciously putting down the conservative way of life.

The liberals attack and insult the conservatives, and yet accuse the conservatives of being unfair and mean. What did we do, stand up for our rights and ask that they please not take our hard earned money to fund their own immoral, lazy, luxurious way of life?
Forgive me if I come across as insulting, but the liberals are the ones who are constantly insulting and being hateful, and get so easily offended all the time. You don’t have to be a lazy liberal, it's not a requirement, you can change, and you can be successful and care about others if you really want to. It’s not like being born with a disease or developing cancer. It’s a mind set, not something you're born with!

Why not actually help people, instead of always complaining for the hand outs you somehow think is your right?

End the Federal Reserve

There is a small movement out there, lead by Congressman Ron Paul, to get rid of the Federal Reserve System. This video of Congressman Paul is the best argument that I have seen from him, or anyone else:

When does the Revolution start?

$1Trillion in New Taxes

***********WARNING...THIS COULD MAKE YOUR HEAD EXPLODE*****************

It must be one of those days, and I am going to take a gamble hear and say there are a lot more to come with this President.

President Obama is proposing over $1 Trillion in new taxes over the next 10 years.

From ABC News:

1) On people making more than $250,000.

$338 billion - Bush tax cuts expire
$179 billion - eliminate itemized deduction
$118 billion - capital gains tax hike

Total: $636 billion/10 years

2) Businesses:

$17 billion - Reinstate Superfund taxes
$24 billion - tax carried-interest as income
$5 billion - codify "economic substance doctrine"
$61 billion - repeal LIFO
$210 billion - international enforcement, reform deferral, other tax reform
$4 billion - information reporting for rental payments
$5.3 billion - excise tax on Gulf of Mexico oil and gas
$3.4 billion - repeal expensing of tangible drilling costs
$62 million - repeal deduction for tertiary injectants
$49 million - repeal passive loss exception for working interests in oil and natural gas properties
$13 billion - repeal manufacturing tax deduction for oil and natural gas companies
$1 billion - increase to 7 years geological and geophysical amortization period for independent producers
$882 million - eliminate advanced earned income tax credit

Total: $353 billion/10 years

I am not sure if President Obama realizes this...the only way to stimulate an economy is to stop the spending, cut it, and support businesses. Business is the only thing that creates jobs; and small businesses create the most employment in this country.

Once you raise taxes on these businesses, they will fire people to make up the cost, and you are back in the same pickle you were in before.

Why is this so hard to understand?

Obama’s Budget: $4 trillion in spending, a $1.75 trillion deficit, and another $750 billion bank bailout

*******************WARNING...THIS COULD MAKE YOUR HEAD EXPLODE*************************

President Barack Obama has proposed a $4 Trillion Budget for next fiscal year, which would leave the United States with a deficit of $1.7 Trillion. Oh...I almost forgot, there is also room for another $750 Billion Bank Bailout. Geez, how could I forget that!

Thanks to Red State for providing this:

OTHER BUDGET HIGHLIGHTS:

* Bush tax cuts allowed to expire at the end of 2010.

* Phase out of direct payments to farms with sales revenue of more than $500,000 per year - projected to save $9.8 billion over 10 years.

* Abolish payments for the storage of cotton - projected to save $570 million over 10 years.

* Eliminate the President Bush’s Federal Mentoring Program - projected to save $500 million

* Eliminate the “Advance” Earned Income Tax Credit - projected to save $880 million over 10 years.

* Increase investment managers tax rate 135%, from 15% to 35 percent.

* Hire additional IRS agents to collect more taxes.

* Significant undisclosed savings from Pentagon procurement - Obama code for defense cuts.

I particularly love the "Hire more IRS agents to collect more taxes." Now why would a Democrat be a fan of that? (Sarcasm)

I can't believe this President had the nerve to hold a "Fiscal Responsibility Summit." That is almost a joke on itself.

If this is the reason people really voted for this guy, than we are really headed to Socialism, and that will be the only thing to wake people up and realize...we are no longer free?

Why Don't They Listen to Ron Paul?

I have to say, and most people who read this blog know, that I became a big fan of Ron Paul after I read his book "The Revolution," and my realization of this conversion comes true everyday that goes by.

Watch this video to see what I am talking about and ask yourself, "Why don't they listen to Ron Paul?"

There are only a handful of people in Washington who actually get what is going on, and Ron Paul is one of them. It is about time that the American people see this, and the pinheads in the media see it as well.

Join the Campaign for Liberty to learn more and educate yourself about these issues.

Back to Business in Washington....Earmark Heaven

In my opinion, earmarks don't make that much difference in the overall budget of the United States, but it is back to business in Washington, and they wonder why we are in this mess.

From Fox News:

Earmark hounds are renewing their criticism of a costly spending bill that would keep the government running through the end of the fiscal year, after a watchdog group reported that the package contains $7.7 billion in disclosed earmarks.

House Democrats on Monday unveiled the $410 billion bill, which has been in the works since last year, ahead of an expected vote later in the week.

Though it instantly drew calls from Republican leaders to punt the package and hold to last year's spending levels, Taxpayers for Common Sense added fuel to GOP criticism when it published a report Tuesday showing that the bill contained 8,570 "disclosed earmarks" totaling $7.7 billion.

8,570!!! You have got to be kidding me!

Our government is racking up the spending and has no idea what they are doing. They are destroying this country by devaluing the Dollar. On top of all the bailout money that this country doesn't have, and has to print, they interject their little pet projects to retain power in Washington.

These goons in the Congress could care one damn bit about what they are doing to destroy this country. They are a bunch of heroin addicts when it comes to spending money. They say they are going to control their addiction, but there is nothing to stop them. They just keep injecting themselves with this drug.

When does the Revolution start?

Keith Olberman Apparently Not a Fan of Bobby Jindal....And Jindal's Response

Just when everyone finally realized the love affair the media has with President Barack Obama, Keith Olberman, who is considered a "journalist," shows his true colors tonight.

In this video, he mutters the words "Oh God" when Governor Bobby Jindal walked out to give the Republican Response to the Presidents Address to the Congress:

(Just shows the type of people that work at MSNBC, and the disrespect they have for anyone that disagrees with them.)

Also, here is the video of Governor Jindal's response for the Republican Party to the President's address:

Like I have been saying...if the Republican Party won't look to candidates like Ron Paul, than Bobby Jindal is the next best thing they have to take back power, and hopefully come to their senses on the principles that define the party and country. True Conservatism.

Bobby Jindal on Meet the Press

Since tonight is the big night for Governor Bobby Jindal (R-LA) in responding to President Barack Obama's "State of the Union" speech, I thought it would be helpful to give you all a preview.

Here is the Governor's apperance on NBC's Meet the Press:

If the Republican Party is going to make a come back (and it isn't Ron Paul)...it is this man that will lead them to it.

Worst Case Scenario

I was watching Glenn Beck last week before the weekend and he had this series going on called "Worst Case Scenario." This series had panelists that were to predict the future, and things that could happen if we continue down the path we are currently headed.

Watch this section from the series:

This stuff they talk about is freaky as hell, and the bad thing....it could happen! The government is not stopping this because they are the catalyst.

When are we going to get smart leadership in Washington to stop this tidal wave of destruction?

Bobby Jindal's Big Moment?

We have made a big deal here at Conservative for Change about the prospects of Bobby Jindal and the good he could bring to the Republican Party, which is in the tanks, and the country as a whole.

The work that he is doing down in Louisiana is promising for fiscal conservatives, and could bring us back to sanity as a nation. That is part of the reason he will be giving the Republican response to President Obama's speech to Congress (apparently not a State of the Union).

From the Politico:

He’s a star in political circles, mentioned by members of both parties as a future presidential candidate, but when Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal delivers the Republican response to President Barack Obama’s Message to Congress on Tuesday, most Americans will be seeing him for the first time.

It’s a prime opportunity for the 37-year-old state executive to introduce himself to the public and define himself as a leader of his party—and a potential contender for national office.

“He’s somebody I think we’re all looking to, to demonstrate that Republicans do have a positive solution to the challenges facing this country,” said House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.). “Bobby’s certainly one of those people.”

In the past few weeks, Jindal has emerged as one of the GOP’s high-profile critics of the stimulus plan Obama recently signed into law.

From what I see, Bobby Jindal leans more toward the Ron Paul crowd than any current Republican Governor, and that is a big thing with this writer.

We need somebody that is going to realize that America is run by Liberty and Freedom, and since the two party system is still a big thing, Bobby Jindal is the man to take the torch for the Republicans.

Watch tomorrow night to see the caliber of his mind, and I will post the video tomorrow once I have access to it.

Alexander Hamilton's Wish Come True

At the outset of our national government in 1789, there was a coalition that felt it necessary to promote a national banking system to streamline control to the federal government and strip the power away from the states.

The main guru behind this plan was Alexander Hamilton, and it seems his wish might be coming even more true today.

From the Wall Street Journal:

Citigroup Inc. is in talks with federal officials that could result in the U.S. government substantially expanding its ownership of the struggling bank, according to people familiar with the situation.

While the discussions could fall apart, the government could wind up holding as much as 40% of Citigroup's common stock. Bank executives hope the stake will be closer to 25%, these people said.

Any such move would give federal officials far greater influence over one of the world's largest financial institutions. Citigroup has proposed the plan to its regulators. The Obama administration hasn't indicated if it supports the plan, according to people with knowledge of the talks.

Hamilton's opposition to control by government over the financial system in this country was led by Thomas Jefferson, who promoted less government because of the corruption it brings. Although Nationals Banks were formed in the beginning, and the federal reserve was formed in the early 1900's, it is nothing compared to what is happening today.

The toll that this is going to put on the American taxpayer and the country as a whole is gigantic. The national bank, in which the Federal Reserve fits, is going to take over these banks and be the central control over all assets the bank produces. They will be the ones who are the ultimate deciders.

Who diminishes this power when the crisis is over? The answer is no one, because it is too much power.

Obama Plans to Pass FDR's New Deal

It is not like this is shocking, since people like this writer warned about it, but President Barack Obama is set to bypass the spending of the New Deal, and take this country down a dangerous path.

From the AP:

WASHINGTON (AP) - In sheer size, the economic measures announced by President Barack Obama to address "a crisis unlike we've ever known" are remarkable, rivaling and in many cases dwarfing the New Deal programs that Franklin D. Roosevelt famously created to battle the Great Depression.

Winning approval was a political tour-de-force for the new administration.

Yet gloom and uncertainty persist about the plan's ability to deliver a cure for the economy's severe ailments.

Stocks plunged to six-year lows after the burst of bill signings, bailout announcements and presidential pledges.

And polls show Americans are increasingly worried about losing jobs and not having enough money to pay their bills.

Why the skepticism?

I would like to take this opportunity to address all the Obama supporters that voted for him during the campaign...I told you so!

Before I go further, it is not like I think John McCain would have done any better, but this is far from what he might have done. Barack Obama is taking us down a path that will change the whole landscape of the United States. Our Founding Fathers are rolling over in their graves as they watch the destruction of everything they fought hard for in 1776.

We are ignoring the principles of free markets, and less government, but that is not a care to the Democrats and Socialists that are running this government.

This is part of the reason New Hampshire is considering separation from the United States, because they hold dear to the principle of "Live Free or Die."

When does the Revolution to take back our country start?

How Does America Finance It's Debt?

This is a great video by Glenn Beck that illustrates the craziness of our system and how we lend money.

To me, this is a scary reality that could possibly happen if our government continues down the same reckless path they are currently headed.

New York Times Stock Now Costs Less Than The Sunday Paper

So does this mean they need a government bailout? You know darn well that will be the talk in Washington in the next few weeks.

Wait!!! I have the answer to this turn of events...nobody wants to read their anti-America agenda.

Welcome to the free market New York Times. This is what happens when you have a bad business and nobody wants your product.

Attorney General Calling Americans Racist?

Eric Holder, the Attorney General of the United States, seems to have opened his big mouth and called the American People a bunch of racists.

From the AP:

WASHINGTON (AP) - Attorney General Eric Holder described the United States Wednesday as a nation of cowards on matters of race, saying most Americans avoid discussing unresolved racial issues.

In a speech to Justice Department employees marking Black History Month, Holder said the workplace is largely integrated but Americans still self-segregate on the weekends and in their private lives.

"Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards," said Holder, nation's first black attorney general.

I will be the first to say that there are still racial tensions in this country, but they are isolated at best. I tend to take the path of Martin Luther King Jr. and judge people by their character, not by their skin color. To me, and most Americans, it is the only way to operate. If you make stupid mistakes as an elected official, or someone in power, when I judge you, it is not because of your skin color, it is because you acted foolishly and caused harm to others. It is your character I am attacking.

It would seem that Eric Holder judges people by their skin color, especially if he wants to bring this up. It is people like him that make race an issue by constantly talking about it, and then blaming others for certain isolated acts.

Yes it is true that this country has a past, and many steps have been taken to rid injustice, but if it is constantly brought up, than it will never go away and we can't judge people without it being a racial issue.

Louisiana Not Taking Stimulus Money?

We have said it before on this website; Governor Bobby Jindal is a true conservative, and his recent act may be proving this assumption.

From CBS News:

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, a potential 2012 GOP presidential candidate, has suggested his state may not be interested in all of the roughly $4 billion allotted to it in the economic stimulus package to be signed by President Obama today.

"We'll have to review each program, each new dollar to make sure that we understand what are the conditions, what are the strings and see whether it's beneficial for Louisiana to use those dollars," Jindal said, according to CBS affiliate WWLTV.

Jindal is scheduled to give the response to the president’s not-exactly-a-state-of-the-union address next Tuesday.

This is exactly what needs to be done with this "simulation." The Governors need to stand up and say "we don't need a bailout...we love our country too much to destroy it."

If Bobby Jindal goes through with this one, he will earn a lot of respect in the movement.

Socialism in America

Today marks the beginning of Socialism in America, and it brings about the Revolution of Ideas to roll back the overarching socialistic policies that President Barack Obama has put into place with the Economic Recovery Act of 2009.

Video of this historic movement from the Politico:

I got a comment today on an earlier post that I thought to be a great story to illustrate what is happening to our country:

Ezra Taft Benson served as President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 1985 until his death in 1994. Long before holding that esteemed position within the church, he served for eight years as President Eisenhower’s Secretary of Agriculture.

During Benson’s tenure as Secretary of Agriculture, the press predicted that he wouldn’t last a full term, and many republicans in congress believed that he was ‘too radical’ for the party’s own good. Yet, despite vehement opposition from the media and his own party, Benson remained in his post for the full duration of Eisenhower’s two terms, consistently delivering anti-communist speeches that warned of a socialist/communist conspiracy to eventually bring America to her knees.

Later, in the 1960s, he addressed the students of Brigham Young University, warning, in part:

"I have talked face to face with the godless communist leaders. It may surprise you to learn that I was host to Mr. Kruschev for a half day when he visited the United States, not that I’m proud of it. I opposed his coming then, and I still feel it was a mistake to welcome this atheistic murderer as a state visitor.

But, according to President Eisenhower, Kruschev had expressed a desire to learn something of American Agriculture — and after seeing Russian agriculture I can understand why.

As we talked face to face, he indicated that my grandchildren would live under communism. After assuring him that I expected to do all in my power to assure that his and all other grandchildren will live under freedom he arrogantly declared in substance:

You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept communism outright, but we’ll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you’ll finally wake up and find you already have communism. We won’t have to fight you. We’ll so weaken your economy until you’ll fall like overripe fruit into our hands!"

Very telling and very scary. Do you think politicians in Washington care to think of the consequences their actions bring? Probably not.
