Obama Takes Shot at Tea Party Participants

First off, President Obama said on April 15th that he was unaware of any tea parties taking place across the country, but now it seems that he was completely aware that they were happening, and he doesn't like it.

Watch this video and see for yourself the disregard he has for opposition and how he considers anybody involved with the tea parties incompetent jerks for disagreeing with him:

So, he thinks that the only way you can understand the issues that plague this country is if you are on his level in intellectual comprehension? Democrats and anyone associated with the liberal agenda always come back to "what are we going to do to cut health care in half, what are we going to do to make sure social security stays in tac?" May I remind them that they are the ones that got us into these messes, and they shouldn't have been created in the first place.

Also, the formula of tax cuts did work, but the reason we are in this mess is incompetent idiots at the federal reserve, and banks that approved bad loans. It has nothing to do with tax cuts for the wealthy, but that is another talking point they always revert too.

I don't think this guy understands...more government takes away the liberties of the ordinary working class.

Thomas Jefferson once said "The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases."

H.R. 1207 Up to 100 Cosponsors!

This is an update to our previous story on the importance of H.R. 1207, or the Audit the Federal Reserve bill. The bill is up to 100 cosponsors, and is still gaining momentum. This bill has shattered the record for the number of cosponsors, and deserves the full attention of the House, and the companion bill in the Senate.

The title of the bill reads:

To amend title 31, United States Code, to reform the manner in which the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is audited by the Comptroller General of the United States and the manner in which such audits are reported, and for other purposes.

Here is a video of Congressman Ron Paul that features clips of him explaining what the bill does and how it can help:

If your Congressman is not on this list call them now and demand to know why they don't support this important legislation:

Iraq War Veteran Beaten at Las Vegas Airport

This is pretty disturbing, and more situations like this have been happening on a regular basis since two reports have come out by Missouri, and the Federal Government, warning about right wing extremism.

A National Guardsman, and Iraq War Vet about to be deployed again, was beaten at McCarran Airport in Las Vegas for no apparent reason.

Here is the video of the incident as reported by the ABC affiliate in Vegas:

Even though this incident happened last year, it is still something that resonates into today's world with the two reports that have come out labeling anyone who disagrees with the government as extremists.

The other question that comes up is why didn't this get reported last year by the mainstream media? Why is it just coming out to light now?

This is what it has come too? This sounds like Nazi Germany to me. If the government doesn't like you, than they will beat the snot out of you. Soon it will be "Show me your papers."

Obama Tells His Teleprompter to Speed Up

If it isn't apparent yet, President Obama can't speak to audiences without his precious teleprompter in front of him. Even if President Bush was horrible at public speaking, at least he didn't always use the prompter, and could actually read from a speech in front of him.

But, it looks like the TOTUS got a little slow in the speech to the National Academy of Sciences and he asked it to speed up:

He makes it too easy...

Obama's Top Economic Adviser Falls Asleep During Meeting

When President Barack Obama took office, he pledged to assemble the best economic team to take on the financial crisis, but when the team was assembled it looked more like the past than the future.

He then brought in Larry Summers as his top economic adviser, but it looks like Mr. Summers has a hard time staying awake during economic meetings:

This is not the first time that Mr. Summers had fallen asleep, and it shows the type of people Obama surrounds himself with to lead the United States Economy.

This administration is a joke, and our country is suffering because of this fact.

Ron Paul Questions Secretary of State Clinton

For the conservatives that read this blog that have a hard time understanding the foreign policy stance of Ron Paul, here is a video that will illustrate a little bit on what he is referring too when talking about foreign policy:

I thought it was great that she recognized the strength of Ron Paul supporters at the end.

I would also recommend anyone having doubts about Congressman Paul's foreign policy stances, to read his book "The Revolution."

Audit the Federal Reserve--H.R. 1207

I have talked about Congressman Ron Paul's bill to audit the Federal Reserve a little bit on this website, and I am going to do it again, and make a plea to call your Representatives to support this piece of legislation.

H.R. 1207 would give the Comptroller General of the United States the ability to go into the Federal Reserve, and conduct a through audit of its proceedings. This is essential to understand what they are doing, and how they are doing things inside the board of governors, who have power beyond the wildest dream.

The bill is now up to 88 Co-Sponsors, which is the most in Congress' history. If your Congressman is not on this list, call them now:

Obama Down in Colorado--State Trending More Libertarian

While Obama's numbers are holding steady nationally (no idea why) but his numbers are down in the Great State of Colorado. This is a state he won handily, and has been electing Democrats more often in the past 4 years, but there is something happening. Colorado seems to be letting its Libertarian colors shine.

From Real Clear Politics:

Colorado and the Mountain West were widely believed to have trended away from the Republicans in the 2000s out of disenchantment with President Bush's social conservatism. But the million dollar question was always how these libertarian-ish voters would deal with a resurgance of economic popuism in the Democratic party.

This is a state that Obama won with 56% of the vote, but his approval numbers are down to 49% in the Centennial State and he isn't the only one. The two brand new Democratic Senators are below 50% in their polling numbers as well.

The answer to the dilemma is the people in Colroado understand. They are seeing that although they might have had problems with Republicans in the past, the Democrats are no different to them. We love Freedom and Liberty in this state, and have the label as one of the most free states in the Union (even though we might have a couple of retarded state laws).

I see Colorado setting the tone for the nation in the next few years, and providing a spring board for Libertarian leaning candidates. Just watch out for Ryan Frazier, who is running for U.S. Senate, and is a Libertarian leaning Republican.

Ron Paul Interview on the Alan Colmes Show

Congressman Ron Paul appeared on the Alan Colmes radio show yesterday, and gave one of his best interviews to date, in my opinion.

Part 1

Part 2

It is about time Republicans come around and listen to this man. They are told many different things about Ron Paul that they say would make them not vote for somebody like him, but they really need to sit down, read his stuff, and actually listen to what he is saying. These Republicans need to stop listening to what other people say, but rather find out for themselves his correct ideas.

His ideas and beliefs are inline with the Founding Fathers, and reflect what true conservatism is about. His R3VOLUTION would spark prosperity in this country, if it was given the chance, and not smacked down by the Republican Party.

Janeane Garofalo Calls Tea Party Advocates Racist

No idea why I am giving this B rated actress the time or day, but what she said on the Keith Olberman show really hits hard to my core.

Apparently, anyone involved in the Tax Day Tea Parties this past week are just a bunch of rednecks who hate black people. I am not kidding...watch:

I am sorry Janeane, did you get the memo that this was a cross section of Libertarians, Democrats, and Republicans? What is that called....America!

Maybe she doesn't understand the history of the Boston Tea Party. It was a group of patriots opposing a government for unjust taxation without representation. It is the symbol of the protest that lead to the Revolution against a tyrannical government. The Tax Day Tea Parties were a direct result of misrepresentation of taxpaying dollars, and using it for the destruction of the U.S. economy.

People like her and Olberman can't stand the fact that America is turning against their precious savior Obama and looking for a little something call Liberty and Freedom. This has nothing to do with race, because I would imagine John McCain might have acted the same way, and it would have lead to the same anger (at least on the Libertarian side).

People like Janeane Garolfalo are the reason there is still racial tension in this country, because that is the only thing she can resort to in attacking the right side of the political spectrum.

Tax Day and the Ron Paul Revolution

(Posted Last Week)

The title might spark off some debate by the people who read this blog and don't support Ron Paul; but in light of tomorrow's nation wide protest for Tax Day, I found a video that I wanted to share with you.

This video puts into perspective the problems we face as a nation, and the people I believe can fix it:

I feel how John Adams (played by Paul Giamatti) felt while giving that speech. In my life, I want a FREE Country!

Ron Paul Defends Texas Governor on States Rights

Last week, Texas Governor Rick Perry took some heat for supporting the bill in the Texas legislature that would claim their sovereign right as a state, and then spoke a phrase that scared the crap out of the Washington elite, the right to secession.

Here is a video of Ron Paul defending this Constitutional right:

It is time to take this country back, and bring it to the principles that founded this great nation. We have moved far beyond our capacity in the world, but our government doesn't understand this belief. Because they are the ones with the power.

NBC Warns CNBC Staff Against Obama Bashing; Becoming too Conservative

As if there is any reason at all to trust the media outlets in this country from not being biased, this just moves over the top on that scale. It seems that NBC has been warning its on air talent from the CNBC network, that covers business and the markets, from bashing President Obama, and becoming too conservative.

The New York Post has the story about this secret meeting:

THE top suits and some of the on-air talent at CNBC were recently ordered to a top-secret meeting with General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt and NBC Universal President Jeff Zucker to discuss whether they've turned into the President Obama-bashing network, Page Six has learned.

"It was an intensive, three-hour dinner at 30 Rock which Zucker himself was behind," a source familiar with the powwow told us. "There was a long discussion about whether CNBC has become too conservative and is beating up on Obama too much. There's great concern that CNBC is now the anti-Obama network. The whole meeting was really kind of creepy."

And NBC wonders why their ratings are plummeting? It has been obvious for years that they are the most liberal news outlet in this country, and they can't stand the fact that their business network would actually be in favor of business and bash a President who is destroying their industry.

By calling these people in from CNBC for a meeting, they are effectively trying to dictate the news that is going out to the American people and silencing the objectors that they pay for their opinion.

How come they didn't have this problem when Keith Olberman, or Chris Matthews bashed President Bush for 8 years (even though he might have deserved a lot of it, like Obama deserves his bashing)?

Banks Try to Pay Back Bailout Money....Government Says 'Wait a Minute!"

We wrote a few weeks ago, about the Government refusing the repayment of TARP money, or bailout money, by banks because they realized they would lose control over these banks. It now seems that they are back to their socialistic ways and have begun a process of developing rules for paying back the TARP money banks receive.

From the Financial Times
:

Strong banks will be allowed to repay bail-out funds they received from the US government but only if such a move passes a test to determine whether it is in the national economic interest, a senior administration official has told the Financial Times.

“Our general objective is going to be what is good for the system,” the senior official said. “We want the system to have enough capital.”

So what this is saying, is that the government, who currently has control over certain aspects of these banks, decides whether or not the banks are suitable to pay back the money they borrowed from the tax payer.

Who is the administer of this test? The Treasury Secretary? The President of the United States? How about the banks themselves, who have a better idea of what is best for them?

A government official had this to say about the plan by the government:

The official, meanwhile, said banks that had plenty of capital and had demonstrated an ability to raise fresh capital from the market should in principle be able to repay government funds. But the judgment would be made in the context of the wider economic interest. He said the government had three basic tests. It needed first to “make sure the system is stable”. Second, to not create “incentives for more deleveraging which would deepen the recession”. Third, to make sure the system had enough capital to “provide credit to support the recovery”.

Again, this just proves that the government doesn't want to give up the power they have come across by allowing private banks to use tax paying dollars to come out of a financial hole. Banks, who probably have a better understanding about their financial stability, are subject to the government if they want to give back the money they borrowed.

If this isn't nationalization and socialism, than I have no idea what is...

CNN Praises Gov. Mark Sanford for Fiscal Conservatism

It is not often that CNN gives praise to a conservative Republican, but it seems that they might be trying to go back from the criticism of the tea parties by laying praise to Governor Mark Sanford.

Mark Sanford is proving to be a true conservative for taking this stance against the bailout money and the Obama Administration.

For the sake of this country, Governor Sanford is holding true to principle, and making his mark in the libertarian crowd.

Ron Paul at the Clear Lake, TX Tea Party

It has been a busy week in this country, and in the land of Conservative for Change.

So for a weekend treat, here is video of the only man in Government that gets what is really going on, and has solutions to fix the problems. That would be Ron Paul, and his appearance at the Clear Lake, TX tea party.

What the Tea Parties Were About (For the Folks at CNN)

It has been 24 hours since the Tea Parties against Government spending happened across the country, and already the mainstream media (except Fox News) are labeling it a Republican organized event.

Here is Glenn Beck, at the San Antonio Tea Party, explaining what yesterday was all about:

Don't Tread On Me!

Spying on Americans Continues Under Obama

A few years ago, under the Bush Administration, the National Security Agency (NSA) began a program that allowed for the tapping and intercepting of phone calls and emails of the American people without an authorized search warrant.

This program was criticized by true conservatives, and members of the Democratic Party, including President Obama. However, a new report out states that the NSA has exceeded their Congressional limits in spying on the American people.

From MSNBC:

WASHINGTON - The National Security Agency intercepted private e-mail messages and phone calls of Americans in recent months on a scale that went beyond the broad legal limits established by Congress last year, government officials said in recent interviews.

Several intelligence officials, as well as lawyers briefed about the matter, said the N.S.A. had been engaged in “overcollection” of domestic communications of Americans. They described the practice as significant and systemic, although one official said it was believed to have been unintentional.

This is the change promised by Barack Obama? It is interesting that this news comes out after we hear that the Department of Homeland Security is on the look out for so called "right wing extremists."

Our government, under the control of both political parties, has thrown the Constitution on the ground and walked all over it. They violate our civil liberties because they are scared of losing their power in Washington, and that is why they label Liberty loving people as "extremists" capable of armed insurrection.

Where has my Republic gone?

Tax Day Tea Parties

From Denver, CO

All across the nation today, ordinary Americans stood up and proclaimed their Liberties to the Government in hopes of bringing the principles of our Founding Fathers back to reality.

The Wall Street Journal summed up this event with a great analysis:

Today American taxpayers in more than 300 locations in all 50 states will hold rallies -- dubbed "tea parties" -- to protest higher taxes and out-of-control government spending. There is no political party behind these rallies, no grand right-wing conspiracy, not even a 501(c) group like MoveOn.org.

Is this the spark of a New Revolution? Vote in the poll to your left!

If you attended one of these Liberty loving rallies, share with us your experience and thoughts of the process.

Texas Governor Claims State Sovereignty

There are numerous states across the Union that have bills in their legislatures that declare their sovereignty from the federal government in an effort to beat back the mighty arm of bureaucracy.

Governor Rick Perry of Texas is the first Governor of such a state to back the proposal to declare the state sovereign from the power of the federal government.

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry joined state Rep. Brandon Creighton and sponsors of House Concurrent Resolution (HCR) 50 in support of states’ rights under the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

“I believe that our federal government has become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens, and its interference with the affairs of our state,” Gov. Perry said. “That is why I am here today to express my unwavering support for efforts all across our country to reaffirm the states’ rights affirmed by the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I believe that returning to the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution and its essential 10th Amendment will free our state from undue regulations, and ultimately strengthen our Union.”

Perry continued: "Millions of Texans are tired of Washington, DC trying to come down here to tell us how to run Texas."

The beauty of this move is it will allow other Governors of the states to act, and support these measures. If enough states band together, they can propose their own Constitutional Amendment, without the help of the United States Congress and reaffirm the power of the Constitution.

Homeland Security on Guard for "Right Wing Extremists"

If it wasn't enough that the report coming out of Missouri suggested anybody associated with the Campaign for Liberty, and Ron Paul, were radical militia members, it looks like the federal government is jumping on board with this supposition as well.

A story from World Net Daily talks about a newly unclassified report warning against violence by right wing extremists:

WASHINGTON – A newly unclassified Department of Homeland Security report warns against the possibility of violence by unnamed "right-wing extremists" concerned about illegal immigration, increasing federal power, restrictions on firearms, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty and singles out returning war veterans as particular threats.

The report, titled "Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment," dated April 7, states that "threats from white supremacist and violent anti-government groups during 2009 have been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry out violent acts."

However, the report goes on to suggest worsening economic woes, potential new legislative restrictions on firearms and "the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks."

So this is how it's going to be from now on...if you disagree with the actions of the government to strip away our liberties, you are an extremist.

It looks like the 1st Amendment will be on the chopping block very soon, especially with reports like this coming out, and the fact that people are critical of the government.

Were have our freedoms gone?

Glenn Beck and How He Feels About Obama's Spending

President Obama, in only 4 months in office, has taken this country down a terrible path, and there is no stopping on his part. This is the reason ordinary Americans are throwing tea parties across the country Wednesday. They are feed up with the recklessness of Government spending, and they want to preserve their future.

Here is a video of Glenn Beck, and how he feels about Obama's spending:

That might seem a little extreme, but it is the way I feel too. Obama is destroying the country and putting the future leaders in a horrible situation that will take a long time to reverse.

We are a nation with liberties and freedoms, but more and more each day they disappear. We should be the most free country on the planet, but we aren't. The Founding Fathers would be pissed to see what has happened to their country and would slap Obama right across the face.

The Constitution vs. New World Order

We have talked a lot about the notion of New World Order, or Global Government, and this video breaks apart the differences of being loyal to the Constitution vs. the New World Order.

We are a sovereign nation, and everyday we are giving up any freedom we might have, for the likes of pleasing the world. Once this happens, we give up our liberties for the advancement of what? Someone in Europe telling me how to live? I don't think so.

Stop Spending Our Future: Taxes

Since we are coming up on Tax Day in this country, I thought it would be helpful to show you a general understanding of taxes in this country, presented by the Stop Spending Our Future campaign:

I guess it is patriotic to pay taxes, unless you are an important member of the Government...

Gov. Mark Sanford Defends His Stimulus Decision

Governor Mark Sanford was the first U.S. Governor to refuse Obama's stimulus money, but now he is under attack in South Carolina for not allowing money to come into the state.

The Politico reports it as follows, "Mark Sanford, taking a lot of heat locally for refusing stimulus funds, is up on air in South Carolina defending himself — and cementing his status as the firmest White House foe."

We must stand up with people like Mark Sanford, and turn back the pages on reckless government actions for the sake of our future, and country.

Stop Spending Our Future

It seems that few people actually realize the amount of money the U.S. Government has committed in the past year, but here is a video that will help see the whole picture.

This is what is has come to...and the President, or most members of Congress aren't doing anything to stop the free fall.

It is time the Youth stood up and demanded a stop to this recklessness...R3VOLUTION!

Obama Trashes the United States Abroad

President Barack Obama, on his first overseas trip since becoming President, has made it a point to trash the United States of America, the country in which he is the leader.

As the Washington Times reports, Obama has labeled America:

* An arrogant nation struggling with shameful legacies of racism and discrimination

* One that bears a large share of the blame for the world's economic and climate crises

Mr. Obama told Europeans that "America has shown arrogance" toward their continent, conceded that the United States bears much of the blame for the world's economic plight, and said in a speech broadcast throughout the Middle East that America is still dealing with its "darker" legacies of discrimination and mistreatment of minorities.

The excuse by the White House for this type of anti-America rhetoric is the things he said is something "he's always believed in."

This is our President? A President that goes around the world and tells the other nations that we are a bunch of redneck racists that are far from ever dispensing our biases? A nation that is to blame for every problem that has happened in the world?

This is bu*#S*@t! Instead of bowing to foreign dignitaries, how about he comes back to America and fixes these so called injustices that he sees, instead of sounding off to the world. Most of all, prove these accusations!

I pity anybody who voted for this man, and still sees him as a dignified leader. He is a disgrace to his office for this type of showmanship. He has had the worst start to a Presidency in over 100 years, and cares more about kissing the butts of Socialistic dictators around the world, instead of ensuring our Liberties here at home.

Obama Bows to Saudi Prince...But White House Denies it Was a Bow

There has been talk today on the blogsphere about President Barack Obama bowing to the Saudi Prince. As the Washington Times states the bow was a "shocking display of fealty to a foreign potentate" and said it "violated centuries of American tradition of not deferring to royalty."

Lets take a look at the video:

Clearly that was a bow, but as the Politico reports:

The White House is denying that the president bowed to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia at a G-20 meeting in London, a scene that drew criticism on the right and praise from some Arab outlets.

"It wasn't a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he's taller than King Abdullah," said an Obama aide, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

That gesture had nothing to do with being taller than the man, Obama was looking right at the ground, and at the Prince's waist line.

Just shows the idiot we elected President who would rather bow to the likes of Prince's, and trash the United States abroad.

Ron Paul Organizer Detained by TSA in St. Louis

I heard about this story last week, but I was waiting for more information on the situation. It appears that Steve Bierfeldt, director of development for Campaign for Liberty, was detained last week at the St. Louis Airport for having a box full of cash and checks. This money was from the event held in St. Louis by the Campaign for Liberty, and was the donations they received from the event. There were also bumper stickers of Ron Paul, and the Campaign for Liberty in his suitcase.

This is the same state which proclaimed Ron Paul supporters, and members of the Campaign for Liberty, as radical militia members.

As the Washington Times reports:

Mr. Bierfeldt was carrying Campaign for Liberty bumper stickers and other campaign literature, and was interrogated by TSA screeners and airport police at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport for nearly a half-hour before being allowed on his flight to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

Mr. Bierfeldt, within his legal rights, insisted on asking if he need to answer their questions, and the event was recorded on his I-Phone...click here to listen.

What this encounter proves is the lack of understanding that certain law enforcement officers have of citizens rights. They were more than likely going off this report by the MIAC, since he was in possession of CFL material.

The rest of the Washington Times story reports:

On the tape, Mr. Bierfeldt is asked repeatedly where he works, where he obtained the money and why he was in St. Louis.

In each instance, Mr. Bierfeldt asked whether he was required by law to answer the questions.

"You want to play smartass, and I'm not going to play your f--ing game," the TSA official said.

This is what it has come to? If you disagree with the actions of the government, you are a radical militia member, and subject to police harassment? It is not a crime to have money on your person, unless their is reasonable suspicion that you are using it in a criminal matter (i.e. drugs). It would seem that the the TSA stepped into some uncharted boundaries with this situation, being that Mr. Bierfeldt was simply asking if he was legally required to answer their questions; and they had no clue if he was.

Here is also a video from Freedom Watch on Foxnews disussing this event that took place:

Harvard Student Takes on Barney Frank Over the Economy

This is an interesting video of a conservative Harvard student asking Congressman Barney Frank a very simple question, "How much responsibility, if any, do you have for the financial crisis?"

Just watch how bad he tries to put the blame on the student and the right wing attack machine:

What Congressman Frank doesn't realize, he was central to the Fannie and Freddie collapse, and he is responsible for the bailouts of these companies, and the TARP program, which is extending this crisis beyond what it should have been.

I still can't believe this idiot is a Congressman...

Ron Paul on the North Korean Rocket Launch

Most Conservatives would think that the action by the North Koreans over the weekend would warrant prompt action by the United States Government, but I caution you, and want you to listen to this message by Congressman Ron Paul:

It is easy to get up in arms about a rouge nation that seeks to cause havoc, but one needs to look into the issues, and see the reality of the situation.

1) North Korea has a legal right to launch a rocket into space.
2) North Korea isn’t a significant threat to the U.S.
3) The White House has reacted in an “overly bellicose and provocative manner.”

There is no need to be up in arms...as Dr. Paul says, they can't eve afford to feed their people, let alone develop a Navy or Air Force.

Atlas Shrugged the Movie

It is not often that Hollywood makes a movie that promotes the ideas of Conservatives, or Libertarians, but it seems they are stepping up to the plate to make their first anti-bailout movie.

From the Hollywood Report:

At Hollywood could soon be going Objectivist.

After decades in development hell, Ayn Rand’s capitalism-minded “Atlas Shrugged” is taking new steps toward the big screen — with one of the film world’s most prominent money men potentially at its center...Baldwin Entertainment project and could come aboard to finance with Lionsgate.

For many people in the Libertarian movement this is a must read book, and it could now be a must see movie.

You can even go to the IMDB website and see the page for Atlas Shrugged...just click here.

A number of stars have expressed serious interest in playing the lead role of Taggart. Angelina Jolie previously had been reported as a candidate to play the strong female character, but the list is growing and now includes Charlize Theron, Julia Roberts and Anne Hathaway.

We will keep updating on this as the news progresses, and more information becomes available on who will star in it, and actual release date.

The Death of the Electoral College and Constitution

There has always been discussion on whether the Electoral College is a fair system because of events like the 2000 election where George W. Bush lost the popular vote, but won the Electoral College to become President of the United States.

There is now a movement that has been taking place for a couple of years that would have states award their Electoral votes based on the national popular vote. Therefore, since Al Gore won the popular vote in 2000, he would have been awarded Colorado's 8 Electoral Votes, even though George Bush won the state.

Here is part of a story from the Washington Times that discusses this movement:

National Popular Vote, a California-based group formed in 2006, has won commitments from four states to award their electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote. Those four states — Maryland, New Jersey, Illinois and Hawaii — have 50 electoral votes among them.

The point that most people miss is that the structure of the Electoral College was designed by the founders to prevent the majority rule. While most people would think that since we are a Democracy (which we aren't) that majority rule would be a good thing. However the founders envisioned a very different ideal.

The main purpose of breaking away from England and declaring ourselves a Republic, we would ensure the protection of the minority. This is the purpose of the Electoral College, it protects the minority from majority dominance.

The article also talks about another big point:

Since presidential candidates need 270 electoral votes for victory, such a compact would ensure that the candidate earning the most votes nationwide would win the election, and the Electoral College would be made irrelevant. Campaigning would become radically different.

It is very true...campaigning would be radically different. If all a candidate needed to do was win the popular vote, then the candidate would spend most of his time on the East Coast, and California. Every other state in this country would be obsolete, and the minority would be crushed in this country, and we would effectively turn into a Socialistic country, and the Republic would die off.

This issue is vital and it is not being talked about like it should be. The media ignore it because it is another way for elected officials to take total control over the people in this country.

This movement is funded by radical elements of the Democratic Party...mainly Moveon.org.

The R3VOLUTION is fast approaching...the only question is who is on board?

Comrade Obama Controlling the Banks by Refusing Repayment of TARP Money

We keep saying it again, and again, the Obama Administration is leading us down the path of Socialism, and eventually Communism, and this latest story out of the Wall Street Journal proves so much of this supposition:

By STUART VARNEY
I must be naive. I really thought the administration would welcome the return of bank bailout money. Some $340 million in TARP cash flowed back this week from four small banks in Louisiana, New York, Indiana and California. This isn't much when we routinely talk in trillions, but clearly that money has not been wasted or otherwise sunk down Wall Street's black hole. So why no cheering as the cash comes back?

My answer: The government wants to control the banks, just as it now controls GM and Chrysler, and will surely control the health industry in the not-too-distant future. Keeping them TARP-stuffed is the key to control. And for this intensely political president, mere influence is not enough. The White House wants to tell 'em what to do. Control. Direct. Command.

These banks are trying to repay the money they received from the federal government. These banks now how lending is to be done, and they are holding up to their promise to pay back the money, but now Comrade Obama is going to say keep the money, because I want total control over you and your company.

While it was a bad idea to give out this money in the first place, it just proves the warning signs people like myself were giving out before it happened. We were giving too much control to the federal government, and now they don't want to give it back.

By taking this action, the Obama Administration can steer the direction of the U.S. Economy away from Capitalistic principles that have governed it for centuries, and more towards Socialistic control over the people in this country.

Here is another story to illustrate the point from my post, and the article by Stu Varney:

Here's a true story first reported by my Fox News colleague Andrew Napolitano (with the names and some details obscured to prevent retaliation). Under the Bush team a prominent and profitable bank, under threat of a damaging public audit, was forced to accept less than $1 billion of TARP money. The government insisted on buying a new class of preferred stock which gave it a tiny, minority position. The money flowed to the bank. Arguably, back then, the Bush administration was acting for purely economic reasons. It wanted to recapitalize the banks to halt a financial panic.

Fast forward to today, and that same bank is begging to give the money back. The chairman offers to write a check, now, with interest. He's been sitting on the cash for months and has felt the dead hand of government threatening to run his business and dictate pay scales. He sees the writing on the wall and he wants out. But the Obama team says no, since unlike the smaller banks that gave their TARP money back, this bank is far more prominent. The bank has also been threatened with "adverse" consequences if its chairman persists. That's politics talking, not economics.

All Hail Comrade Obama!!

Ron Paul on the Obama Budget

It has been awhile since we featured a Ron Paul video, so for your viewing pleasure, here is Ron Paul discussing the insane budget that the Congress is currently considering; The Obama Budget:

This guy knows what he is talking about, and it is a shame that people wouldn't believe him during the Presidential campaign.

But now they are listening...which is why he is always on cable news channels to provide analysis.

Obama Hailed as Russia's "New Comrade"

Every day I sit down and read the news on the internet, but not every day does something like this make my job as a blogger so much easier:

LONDON (AFP) - - Russia's Dmitry Medvedev hailed Barack Obama as "my new comrade" Thursday after their first face-to-face talks, saying the US president "can listen" -- even if little progress was made on substance.

I knew we were headed down the road to Socialism and Communism, but I didn't think the Russians would confirm my suspicions.

Revolution anybody??
