Cash for Clunkers Program Already Out of Money---And They Want to Run Health Care?


The federal government wants to run your health care, but a program that was suppose to last 4 months has only lasted 4 days because they are running out of money.

From the AP:

WASHINGTON (AP) - The government's popular "cash for clunkers" program may be running out of money after only a matter of days as car shoppers flock to dealerships to take advantage of the rebates.

The White House said Thursday it was assessing its options amid concerns the $1 billion budget for rebates for new car sales may have been depleted. The program officially began last week and has been heavily publicized by automakers and dealers.


So, they want to manage the health care in this country, and they can't even budget a idiotic program like Cash for Clunkers?

Ahhhhh, the hope and change we can all believe in...

From Fox News:

The House raced Friday to pass legislation to inject an additional $2 billion into the "cash for clunkers" program, whose immediate popularity this week threatened to sink the program.

The $2 billion boost would be created by shuffling around funds from the Recovery and Reinvestment Act, an emergency stimulus for the original $1 billion budget for rebates on new cars that lawmakers worried had been exhausted in only a week.

Glenn Beck Calls Obama a Racist---And He is Right!

There is a lot of fury going around the political circles in Washington about the comments that Glenn Beck made the other day on Fox News' Fox and Friends. In response to actions by President Obama recently and during the campaign, he took the stance that nobody in media will take...he called Barack Obama a racist.



Glenn Beck couldn't be more right about this subject. Just start going back to the campaign and you will see the first signs.

The whole Jeremiah Wright saga was the first bone in the pile.

How about when he called his Grandmother the "typical white person?"

How about the people he has put up for positions in government?

The final straw was the Cambridge police officer incident. He opened his mouth to bash a white police officer without even knowing the facts.


It seems that Liberals have no problem when they are calling a Conservative a racist, but when it is turned upon them...they cry foul! They need to realize that Obama is the one fueling racial tension in this country when he calls out an officer as a racist when he had no clue what the facts were.

Military Planning for Possible H1N1 Outbreak...FEMA Camps?


There have been these rumors floating around the web about the so called FEMA camps. These are camps that conspiracy theorists believe are being built in the style of concentration camps. If you YouTube the subject you will see video of coffins being stored on private land and actual prisons that have no prisoners but have a staff waiting to take some on. A lot of people have been trying to debunk these theories, including people like radio personality Glenn Beck, but a story caught my eye today that I feel will fuel speculation by these conspiracy theorists.

It is from CNN and it is talking about the United States Military, in conjuction with FEMA, planning for a possible H1N1 (swine flu) outbreak:

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The U.S. military wants to establish regional teams of military personnel to assist civilian authorities in the event of a significant outbreak of the H1N1 virus this fall, according to Defense Department officials.

The proposal is awaiting final approval from Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

The officials would not be identified because the proposal from U.S. Northern Command's Gen. Victor Renuart has not been approved by the secretary.

The plan calls for military task forces to work in conjunction with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. There is no final decision on how the military effort would be manned, but one source said it would likely include personnel from all branches of the military.


If these conspiracy theorists are right about these FEMA Camps, this would be exactly what they could be used for. We have Liberty in this country, and it is worth protecting against a hostile government, and if these theorists are right...this would be the ultimate showdown.

Money Down the Toilet---Literally!


In the largest case of irony, the Federal government is using tens of millions of dollars in stimulus money to fix toilets around the country.

From the New York Post:

WASHINGTON -- The feds are spending tens of millions of stimulus dollars to repair and build toilets across the nation, in an outflow of taxpayer funds that critics have branded "potty pork."

From humble sylvan outhouses to "historic" restrooms, cash from the $787 billion stimulus is going to spruce up or completely replace aging toilets, government releases show.


If that is not the biggest case of government irony, I have no clue what would be. Listen again; the government is using stimulus money to repair toilets across the country. They are literally flushing our money down the toilet.

Paying With $2 Bills


I read a great article over the weekend on Mises.org that will shed light on the state of our money in this country. The author Briggs Armstrong, came up with a clever idea of paying for products at stores with $2 Bills and see the reaction he receives. The whole point of this experiment was to showcase the issues of the Federal Reserve and Inflation in this country.

Here is a portion of the his article on Mises.org:

The true point of this experiment is to encourage people to educate themselves about our current inflationist monetary policy. My hope is that my readers will begin to request two-dollar bills from their banks and direct people to this article. There is no need to brow beat a captive audience with economic mumbo jumbo, just say, "Google 'why pay with two-dollar bills.'" If they are curious enough, it will lead them to use the wonderful resources available at Mises.org to shake off the heavy chains of complacency that facilitate this stealthy crime.


I have decided to follow Mr. Armstrong's lead and try out the same experiment in Colorado. My first action was calling my bank and seeing if they had any $2 bills, and they did!

I went down and cashed a check that I had left over from my birthday and received my $2 Bills ($34 worth).

I was surprised that I didn't get the same reaction that Armstrong got from his bank, which was asking why he wanted this currency. Instead they told me that they do get requests for the bill, and it got me wondering...people are known for hoarding the $2 bill, thinking it is worth something, but in actuality, it is worth $2. That might be the reason for so many people in Colorado Springs wanting the bill, because they are mislead.

I will keep you updated on this adventure as I start paying with $2 Bills.

In the meantime I encourage you to try this experiment and call attention to the monetary policy in this country and the issue of inflation.

Destruction of Liberty: Police can use force to compel hurricane evacuation


To take a break from the craziness that is happening in Washington, I found a story that I wanted to share with you. It appears that the destruction of Liberty is taking place in the state of Texas, and a new law is going to go into effect that will allow police to use force to compel you to evacuate your home in the event of a natural disaster.

From the Caller-Times:

A new state law will allow police to arrest people who don’t leave town under mandatory evacuation orders.

As it stands, officials cannot compel people to evacuate, only warn that those who stay behind won’t have any emergency services at their disposal. The new law gives county judges and mayors the power to authorize use of “reasonable force” to remove people from the area.

The law, passed this year, takes effect Sept. 1, in the heart of hurricane season in Texas. It also applies to other disasters, such as fires or floods.


Now most people would think of this as a good law; they might say that it will "save peoples lives." However, the flaw with that logic is the government shouldn't have the right to forcefully remove you from your property. If someone chooses to stay behind and protect their homes, they have a natural right to do so. It is their choice and governments shouldn't stand in the way of free people making that choice.

Pennsylvania Govenor Ed Rendell Involved in Sex Scandal?


There were rumors floating around last week about the same client service that Elliot Spitzer used to hire a hooker had been involved with another high ranking head of state. There were names of Governors being floated around the web that might be involved, but it seems that the list has narrowed to one...Governor Ed Rendell of Pennsylvania.

Suprisingly the news might have broke on the Opie and Anthony radio show on Sirius XM Radio and reported on another blog:

I don't normally listen to Opie & Anthony looking for breaking news, but astonishingly that's what I just got. A few minutes ago, the cast of the show on Sirius XM radio were interviewing Kristin Davis -- not the one from Sex and the City, the former Manhattan Madam who spent four months in Rikers in connection with the Eliot Spitzer hooker scandal from last year. There's been quite a bit of speculation that her operation at one time serviced another high-profile governor, besides Spitzer, and up until now she's been largely quiet about just who that governor is.

Well, during the interview, she admitted that someone she called "Governor X" employed her services at least ten times during a year-and-a-half period. She apparently wrote his name down on a piece of paper and showed it to Opie and Anthony, who then proceeded to spend the next ten minutes dropping hints that a 4-year-old could've deciphered.

"What, did he pay her in coal and steel?"

"I guess he had a little filly on the side."

"Did he used to be an Eagles scout?"


And the politicians wonder why the American people don't trust them anymore...they lie right to our faces.

Texas Governor Might Invoke State's Rights to Reject Nationalized Health Care


With the fight going down in Washington D.C. over the President's plan for a nationalized health care system, in Texas Governor Rick Perry suggested that he might invoke state's rights to reject any kind of mandate to be placed upon the states.

In an article from the Star Telegram he raises the possibility of a showdown with the White House over this issue:

AUSTIN — Gov. Rick Perry, raising the specter of a showdown with the Obama administration, suggested Thursday that he would consider invoking states’ rights protections under the 10th Amendment to resist the president’s healthcare plan, which he said would be "disastrous" for Texas.

"I think you’ll hear states and governors standing up and saying 'no’ to this type of encroachment on the states with their healthcare," Perry said. "So my hope is that we never have to have that stand-up. But I’m certainly willing and ready for the fight if this administration continues to try to force their very expansive government philosophy down our collective throats."


This could be an interesting development in the fight against socialism, and will be watched with great attention. He might have an argument of encroachment by the Federal Government, but I am sure this will be fought in court big time.

Obama Approval Rating Below 50%


For the first time in his Presidency, a Presidency that is only 8 months old, President Obama's approval rating has fallen below 50%.

From the Drudge Report:

For First Time, Obama's Approval Rating Falls Below 50%

Overall, 49% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance, RASMUSSEN will report later this morning.

This marks the first time his overall approval rating has ever fallen below 50% among Likely Voters nationwide. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.

Eighty-three percent (83%) of Democrats continue to approve of the President'’s performance while 80% of Republicans disapprove. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 37% offer a positive assessment.

The President earns approval from 51% of women and 47% of men.

RASMUSSEN was the most accurate pollster for the final results of the 2008 Presidential election.


This could be the first sign of proof that the American people are not approving of his socialistic tactics. Smart Americans are seeing through this crap that is coming out of the White House and we are standing up.

Federal Reserve Oblivious to Where $500 Billion Has Gone

While testifying before Congress yesterday, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke was asked about $500 Billion of U.S. currency being lent to foreign banks. Representative Alan Grayson pressed Chairman Bernanke on what foreign banks received the money, and he got a "I don't know" answer.

Americans To Be Forced into Government Health Care


The health care debate is sparking many interests across all the political spectrum's and it has caught our attention as well. I heard audio today of President Obama being unfamiliar with a provision in H.R. 3200 (America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009) which would force everyone in this country to be part of the government ran health care system. The law would pretty much outlaw the use of private insurance unless you are currently a member.

Here is the text of section 102 of the bill:

(a) Grandfathered Health Insurance Coverage Defined- Subject to the succeeding provisions of this section, for purposes of establishing acceptable coverage under this division, the term `grandfathered health insurance coverage' means individual health insurance coverage that is offered and in force and effect before the first day of Y1 if the following conditions are met:

(1) LIMITATION ON NEW ENROLLMENT-

(A) IN GENERAL- Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day of Y1.

(B) DEPENDENT COVERAGE PERMITTED- Subparagraph (A) shall not affect the subsequent enrollment of a dependent of an individual who is covered as of such first day.


As it already apparent, this effort by the Democrats in Congress and the President is in fact socialism, but it is going to turn into force. They will force you to have government health insurance and if you chose not to be insured you will be fined $2,500 every year.

Where has my country gone...

Bailouts could cost U.S. $23 trillion

We were all told that the bailouts of the banking and auto industry were necessary to stabilize the economic situation in the United States and that by failing to act we would cause our impending doom.

Well, it looks like the price tag is going to get a little higher...say $23 Trillion!

A series of bailouts, bank rescues and other economic lifelines could end up costing the federal government as much as $23 trillion, the U.S. government’s watchdog over the effort says – a staggering amount that is nearly double the nation’s entire economic output for a year.

If the feds end up spending that amount, it could be more than the federal government has spent on any single effort in American history.


When does this raping of our country stop? It is time to stand up and demand accountability and common sense in Washington...R3VOLUTION!

White House Delaying Release of Budget Update--Covering Up the Truth


It is apparent to pretty much all Americans that the economy has not recovered and the promises of President Barack Obama have proved to be disastrous to recovery. We have rising unemployment, record deficits, and slower economic growth and because of this the White House is delaying the release of their midsummer budget update.

From the AP:

WASHINGTON (AP) - The White House is being forced to acknowledge the wide gap between its once-upbeat predictions about the economy and today's bleak landscape.

The administration's annual midsummer budget update is sure to show higher deficits and unemployment and slower growth than projected in President Barack Obama's budget in February and update in May, and that could complicate his efforts to get his signature health care and global-warming proposals through Congress.

The release of the update - usually scheduled for mid-July - has been put off until the middle of next month, giving rise to speculation the White House is delaying the bad news at least until Congress leaves town on its August 7 summer recess.


I am so glad that the American people elected a President that promised transparency in the government and is now hiding the fact that his policies have failed American and pushed us further off the cliff. His lack of transparency has become a staple of his Presidency. He keeps information, and blocks attempts of transparency in places like the Federal Reserve.

The delay of this budget update is big news. It will get passed over in the media because the news is not sexy, and the White House knows this. That is why it is our mission to spread their cover up to the American people so they understand what they elected.

More and more each day I hear people who voted for Obama regretting their vote. They are starting to see the light and it is our job to pull them towards the light of Freedom and Liberty and away from government control over their lives.

Ron Paul Calls Sarah Palin a "Country Club Republican"...And He is Right!


In an interview with the Politico, Ron Paul is touted as the leader right now on domestic policy issues within the Republican Party. It is a great article that highlights his struggles with mainstream Republicans who only follow his lead on issues when they are not in power.

However, Ron Paul has angered the typical Republican by labeling Sarah Palin for what she is, a typical Republican candidate:

As for soon-to-be departing Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Paul dismisses her supporters as "more establishment, conventional Country-Club type of Republicans.”

"I wonder whether she's energizing the 15-20 year olds," Paul muses. "That would be a question I would have. Because she doesn't talk about the Federal Reserve and some of these issues. She doesn't talk too much about personal liberties, civil liberties, getting rid of drug laws, attacking the war on drugs, punishing people who torture.

I then read a blog titled Libertarian Republican, and the editor Eric Dondero who is in love with Palin tries to offer the same defense that the mainstream Republican offers of Palin:

For the record, there is no recorded instance of Sarah Palin ever being a member of a Country Club. In fact, in Alaska, there are numerous Hunting Clubs, Fishing Clubs, Swimming Clubs, and Boating Clubs, but only one single Country Club: Cottonwood Country Club in the Kenai. LR has not found any evidence to suggest that she, nor her husband Todd have ever been members of Cottonwood, nor any other country club in the Lower 48.


Any time an objector of Palin suggests that she is not sound enough to be a leader in this country they always try and say she is a gun toting, fishing, laid back person. However, there are a lot of politicians that participate in these activities and still betray their principles for the party, and that is exactly what Palin does.

Dondero then quotes another blog that suggests the following:

Ron Paul accuses Sarah Palin supporters of being country club republicans. That's funny (and patently untrue) because Ron Paul and his wife Carol are Lifetime Members of the Lake Jackson Country Club. It is located on Highway 332 in between Lake Jackson and Brazoria.If anything, country club republicans despise her.


Both this blogger and Dondero are missing the point...it is not about belonging to a country club, but rather it is the type of follower one attracts. Palin will attract the establishment because she sucks up to them. The fact that Ron Paul belongs to a country club means nothing because he has a record of consistent opposition to big government and people in his party who vote for big government. Ron Paul attracts a new kind of Republican, while Sarah Palin attracts the typical Republican that gives us bigger government.

Ron Paul's analysis was right on when it comes to Palin. I suggested the same thing a week or so ago. I took a lot of heat from typical Republicans that follow Palin like she is a goddess, but like Ron Paul, I will never falter my principles for the sake of somebody like Palin who runs around with the RNC and can't communicate a single message without stumbling over her words.

What is True Conservatism?

I talk about true conservatism on this website, and now you can really see what it stands for. Read this list of statements, and judge what percentage of it you agree with.

1.0 Personal Liberty

Individuals should be free to make choices for themselves and to accept responsibility for the consequences of the choices they make. No individual, group, or government may initiate force against any other individual, group, or government. Our support of an individual's right to make choices in life does not mean that we necessarily approve or disapprove of those choices.

1.1 Expression and Communication

We support full freedom of expression and oppose government censorship, regulation or control of communications media and technology. We favor the freedom to engage in or abstain from any religious activities that do not violate the rights of others. We oppose government actions which either aid or attack any religion.

1.2 Personal Privacy

We support the protections provided by the Fourth Amendment to be secure in our persons, homes, and property. Only actions that infringe on the rights of others can properly be termed crimes. We favor the repeal of all laws creating "crimes" without victims, such as the use of drugs for medicinal or recreational purposes.

1.3 Personal Relationships

Sexual orientation, preference, gender, or gender identity should have no impact on the rights of individuals by government, such as in current marriage, child custody, adoption, immigration or military service laws. Consenting adults should be free to choose their own sexual practices and personal relationships. Government does not have the authority to define, license or restrict personal relationships.

1.4 Abortion

Recognizing that abortion is a sensitive issue and that people can hold good-faith views on all sides, we believe that government should be kept out of the matter, leaving the question to each person for their conscientious consideration.

1.5 Crime and Justice

Government exists to protect the rights of every individual including life, liberty and property. Criminal laws should be limited to violation of the rights of others through force or fraud, or deliberate actions that place others involuntarily at significant risk of harm. Individuals retain the right to voluntarily assume risk of harm to themselves. We support restitution of the victim to the fullest degree possible at the expense of the criminal or the negligent wrongdoer. We oppose reduction of constitutional safeguards of the rights of the criminally accused. The rights of due process, a speedy trial, legal counsel, trial by jury, and the legal presumption of innocence until proven guilty, must not be denied. We assert the common-law right of juries to judge not only the facts but also the justice of the law.

1.6 Self-Defense

The only legitimate use of force is in defense of individual rights — life, liberty, and justly acquired property — against aggression. This right inheres in the individual, who may agree to be aided by any other individual or group. We affirm the right to keep and bear arms, and oppose the prosecution of individuals for exercising their rights of self-defense. We oppose all laws at any level of government requiring registration of, or restricting, the ownership, manufacture, or transfer or sale of firearms or ammunition.

2.0 Economic Liberty

A free and competitive market allocates resources in the most efficient manner. Each person has the right to offer goods and services to others on the free market. The only proper role of government in the economic realm is to protect property rights, adjudicate disputes, and provide a legal framework in which voluntary trade is protected. All efforts by government to redistribute wealth, or to control or manage trade, are improper in a free society.


2.1 Property and Contract

Property rights are entitled to the same protection as all other human rights. The owners of property have the full right to control, use, dispose of, or in any manner enjoy, their property without interference, until and unless the exercise of their control infringes the valid rights of others. We oppose all controls on wages, prices, rents, profits, production, and interest rates. We advocate the repeal of all laws banning or restricting the advertising of prices, products, or services. We oppose all violations of the right to private property, liberty of contract, and freedom of trade. The right to trade includes the right not to trade — for any reasons whatsoever. Where property, including land, has been taken from its rightful owners by the government or private action in violation of individual rights, we favor restitution to the rightful owners.

2.2 Environment

We support a clean and healthy environment and sensible use of our natural resources. Private landowners and conservation groups have a vested interest in maintaining natural resources. Pollution and misuse of resources cause damage to our ecosystem. Governments, unlike private businesses, are unaccountable for such damage done to our environment and have a terrible track record when it comes to environmental protection. Protecting the environment requires a clear definition and enforcement of individual rights in resources like land, water, air, and wildlife. Free markets and property rights stimulate the technological innovations and behavioral changes required to protect our environment and ecosystems. We realize that our planet's climate is constantly changing, but environmental advocates and social pressure are the most effective means of changing public behavior.

2.3 Energy and Resources

While energy is needed to fuel a modern society, government should not be subsidizing any particular form of energy. We oppose all government control of energy pricing, allocation, and production.

2.4 Government Finance and Spending

All persons are entitled to keep the fruits of their labor. We call for the repeal of the income tax, the abolishment of the Internal Revenue Service and all federal programs and services not required under the U.S. Constitution. We oppose any legal requirements forcing employers to serve as tax collectors. Government should not incur debt, which burdens future generations without their consent. We support the passage of a "Balanced Budget Amendment" to the U.S. Constitution, provided that the budget is balanced exclusively by cutting expenditures, and not by raising taxes.

2.5 Money and Financial Markets

We favor free-market banking, with unrestricted competition among banks and depository institutions of all types. Individuals engaged in voluntary exchange should be free to use as money any mutually agreeable commodity or item. We support a halt to inflationary monetary policies, the repeal of legal tender laws and compulsory governmental units of account.


2.6 Monopolies and Corporations

We defend the right of individuals to form corporations, cooperatives and other types of companies based on voluntary association. We seek to divest government of all functions that can be provided by non-governmental organizations or private individuals. We oppose government subsidies to business, labor, or any other special interest. Industries should be governed by free markets.

2.7 Labor Markets

We support repeal of all laws which impede the ability of any person to find employment. We oppose government-fostered forced retirement. We support the right of free persons to associate or not associate in labor unions, and an employer should have the right to recognize or refuse to recognize a union. We oppose government interference in bargaining, such as compulsory arbitration or imposing an obligation to bargain.

2.8 Education

Education, like any other service, is best provided by the free market, achieving greater quality and efficiency with more diversity of choice. Schools should be managed locally to achieve greater accountability and parental involvement. Recognizing that the education of children is inextricably linked to moral values, we would return authority to parents to determine the education of their children, without interference from government. In particular, parents should have control of and responsibility for all funds expended for their children's education.


2.9 Health Care

We favor restoring and reviving a free market health care system. We recognize the freedom of individuals to determine the level of health insurance they want, the level of health care they want, the care providers they want, the medicines and treatments they will use and all other aspects of their medical care, including end-of-life decisions.


2.10 Retirement and Income Security

Retirement planning is the responsibility of the individual, not the government. We favor replacing the current government-sponsored Social Security system with a private voluntary system. The proper source of help for the poor is the voluntary efforts of private groups and individuals.

3.0 Securing Liberty

The protection of individual rights is the only proper purpose of government. Government is constitutionally limited so as to prevent the infringement of individual rights by the government itself. The principle of non-initiation of force should guide the relationships between governments.

3.1 National Defense

We support the maintenance of a sufficient military to defend the United States against aggression. The United States should both abandon its attempts to act as policeman for the world and avoid entangling alliances. We oppose any form of compulsory national service.

3.2 Internal Security and Individual Rights

The defense of the country requires that we have adequate intelligence to detect and to counter threats to domestic security. This requirement must not take priority over maintaining the civil liberties of our citizens. The Bill of Rights provides no exceptions for a time of war. Intelligence agencies that legitimately seek to preserve the security of the nation must be subject to oversight and transparency. We oppose the government's use of secret classifications to keep from the public information that it should have, especially that which shows that the government has violated the law.

3.3 International Affairs

American foreign policy should seek an America at peace with the world and its defense against attack from abroad. We would end the current U.S. government policy of foreign intervention, including military and economic aid. We recognize the right of all people to resist tyranny and defend themselves and their rights. We condemn the use of force, and especially the use of terrorism, against the innocent, regardless of whether such acts are committed by governments or by political or revolutionary groups.

3.4 Free Trade and Migration

We support the removal of governmental impediments to free trade. Political freedom and escape from tyranny demand that individuals not be unreasonably constrained by government in the crossing of political boundaries. Economic freedom demands the unrestricted movement of human as well as financial capital across national borders. However, we support control over the entry into our country of foreign nationals who pose a threat to security, health or property.


3.5 Rights and Discrimination

We condemn bigotry as irrational and repugnant. Government should not deny or abridge any individual's rights based on sex, wealth, race, color, creed, age, national origin, personal habits, political preference or sexual orientation. Parents, or other guardians, have the right to raise their children according to their own standards and beliefs.

3.6 Representative Government

We support electoral systems that are more representative of the electorate at the federal, state and local levels. As private voluntary groups, political parties should be allowed to establish their own rules for nomination procedures, primaries and conventions. We call for an end to any tax-financed subsidies to candidates or parties and the repeal of all laws which restrict voluntary financing of election campaigns. We oppose laws that effectively exclude alternative candidates and parties, deny ballot access, gerrymander districts, or deny the voters their right to consider all legitimate alternatives.


3.7 Self-Determination

Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of individual liberty, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to agree to such new governance as to them shall seem most likely to protect their liberty.

This is the platform of the Libertarian Party, and if we can get away from the two party system, than this country might be better off. These are the words and beliefs of our founding fathers. These are pretty self explanatory statements, and the Republican nor Democratic platform sounds like this.

Freshman Democrats in the House Oppose Pelosi Tax Increase


In an attempt to pay for the national health care bill, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is proposing a massive tax increase. However, there is one small road block that might be standing in her way, and it comes from her own party.

Freshman Democrats in the House of Representative have sent a letter to the Speaker expressing their opposition to a tax overhaul to pay for nationalized health care. According to the Hill newspaper, these freshman feel that a tax increase on the wealthy would hamper small business production, some of which pay the same as individuals.

“Especially in a recession, we need to make sure not to kill the goose that will lay the golden eggs of our recovery,” the letter said. “We are concerned that this will discourage entrepreneurial activity.”


It is about time people in the Democratic Party stood up to their leadership. With the recent Cap and Trade vote, it was proved that when Congressman wanted to vote on principle, they were pulled in by leadership and told to vote a certain way. Parties are nothing to me, and I will praise anybody that stands up for what is right to preserve our liberties.

Biden: Without Stimulus, U.S. Would Go Bankrupt


We make fun of politicians a lot as Americans, but when one says something insane, it is not funny. And this new rant comes from your very own Joe Biden the Vice President.

Apparently he thinks that the only way to save the U.S. from Bankruptcy is to spend money that we don't have. From Fox News:

Vice President Biden defended the Obama administration's economic stimulus package Thursday by suggesting that without the federal government spending massive amounts of money to shore up the economy the country would go bankrupt.

"We're going to go bankrupt as a nation," Biden warned at an event in the backyard of the House's No. 2 Republican.

"People, when I say that, look at me and say, 'What are you talking about, Joe? You're telling me we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt?" he said. "The answer is yes."


This is not a good sign for the country if the second most powerful man believes something this stupid. His conclusion is that the ordinary American should spend more money to avoid bankruptcy, even if they don't have the assets?

Social Security Officials Spend $700,000 on Conference


President Barack Obama gave corporations a lot of tongue for spending so much money on conferences in places like Las Vegas, but apparently the people that work for his Administration are exempt.

The Social Security Administration spent $700,000 on a conference in Phoenix, AZ. The ABC affiliate in Phoenix has the story:

PHOENIX -- A Social Security Administration motivational management conference held at a high-end Valley resort last week cost $700,000, the SSA told the ABC15 Investigators.

Costs for the conference at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa included airfare, hotel entertainment, dancers, motivational speakers, and food, an administration official said.

A spokesperson outside the SSA's Phoenix office declined to comment.


Where is the out cry by Obama? He was quick to jump at private businesses that were taking bailout money, but when it is his government doing the same thing, he is quite.

They wonder why nobody in America trusts the government anymore...this is the reason why. They are hypocrites!

Deployment Order Revoked for Soldier Challenging Obama's Birthplace


A United States Army Reserve Major brought a legal challenge to his deployment orders to Afghanistan by suggesting that the orders were illegal because President Barack Obama has yet to prove his eligibility for the office he holds.

From World Net Daily:

His attorney, Orly Taitz, confirmed to WND the military has rescinded his impending deployment orders.

"We won! We won before we even arrived," she said with excitement. "It means that the military has nothing to show for Obama. It means that the military has directly responded by saying Obama is illegitimate – and they cannot fight it. Therefore, they are revoking the order!"

She continued, "They just said, 'Order revoked.' No explanation. No reasons – just revoked."

A hearing on the questions raised by Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook, an engineer who told WND he wants to serve his country in Afghanistan, was scheduled for July 16 at 9:30 a.m.

"As an officer in the armed forces of the United States, it is [my] duty to gain clarification on any order we may believe illegal. With that said, if President Obama is found not to be a 'natural-born citizen,' he is not eligible to be commander-in-chief," he told WND only hours after the case was filed.


While I still think it will be hard to make any ground on the question of Obama's birthplace, this is actually a pretty big victory in the fight. While I got off the bandwagon for the birth certificate thing awhile ago, I will continue to follow this story, and any others that have merit.

Dems to Rahm Through National Health Care

In a last ditch effort to stuff down the throats of every American in this country a bill that will explode the national debt, and do more damage to the economy than the Great Depression, the Democrats are planning on rahming through nationalized health care in a 1,000 page bill.

The plan would cost $1.5 Trillion and with the Dems controlling both houses of Congress, this thing might become a reality.

The AP reports:

WASHINGTON (AP) - House Democratic leaders, pledging to meet the president's goal of health care legislation before their August break, are offering a $1.5 trillion plan that for the first time would make health care a right and a responsibility for all Americans. Left to pick up most of the tab were medical providers, employers and the wealthy.

"We cannot allow this issue to be delayed. We cannot put it off again," Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., the chairman of the House Energy and Commerce committee, said Tuesday. "We, quite frankly, cannot go home for a recess unless the House and the Senate both pass bills to reform and restructure our health care system."


Do you really want the government telling you what type of health care you should have, and make decisions for you based on what they feel is best? This bill is un-American because it would punish you for not having health insurance. We have freedom in this country, but over the past few years that freedom has been stripped away, and for the sake of liberal pet projects.

When does this insanity stop? First it was the cap and trade bill, and now it is health care. Our liberties are being thrown through the garbage disposal and for what? So the government can have more power?

If they would leave it up to the free market and take the restraints off of health care, it would be a heck of a lot cheaper than it is right now. But they could care less about that, and care more about retaining the power over the people.

Deficit Tops $1 Trillion for the First Time in History


In the wake of unprecedented spending by the Obama Administration, and a failed economic stimulus package, the U.S. budget deficit has topped $1 Trillion for the first time in history.

WASHINGTON - Nine months into the fiscal year, the federal deficit has topped $1 trillion for the first time.

The imbalance is intensifying fears about higher interest rates and inflation, and already pressuring the value of the dollar. There's also concern about trying to reverse the deficit - by reducing government spending or raising taxes - in the midst of a harsh recession.

The Treasury Department said Monday that the deficit in June totaled $94.3 billion, pushing the total since the budget year started in October to nearly $1.1 trillion.


So this is the hope and change the American people voted for? Running our national debt into the ground and destroying any hope that the future of this country might have.

This recklessness must stop before it is too late. The foreign investors are going realize that the power of the U.S. economy is not worth anything. This will eventually be the collapse of the American system.

Gary Johnson for President in 2012?


Many of you have never heard of Gary Johnson, and I was the same until recently. Gary Johnson was the Governor of New Mexico 1995-2003 and is now being touted as a candidate for the Presidency in 2012. He has expressed his interest in the campaign for President and it has sparked my interest as well.

Johnson is making a name for himself because he is a Ron Paul Republican, and we all know that Ron Paul predicted a lot of what is happening in the economy right now. Johnson holds true conservative beliefs, and proved so while Governor of New Mexico.

Some of Johnson's accomplishments as Governor:

* During his tenure, New Mexico experienced the longest period without a tax-increase in the state’s entire history.

* He cut the rate of government growth in half, left the New Mexico state government with a budget surplus and 1000 fewer employees (without firing anyone), privatized half of the prisons in the state, brought a state-wide school voucher system to New Mexico.

* Vetoed 750 bills (more than all the vetoes of the other 49 Governors in the country at that time, combined) with only 2 overrides, earning him the nickname Gary “Veto” Johnson.

* In 1999, Johnson became the highest-ranking elected official in the United States to advocate the legalization of drugs.

* Shifted Medicaid to managed care.



Is this what this country needs? The answer is pretty self explanatory being that all the issues he believes in would fix the country. Conservatives need to realize their history and need to get past the foreign policy aspect of Ron Paul Republicans. The policy of non-interventionism is rooted in Republican belief, and until mainstream Republicans come to grips with this reality, they will continue to lose support from Libertarian types like myself.

Smoking Ban for the U.S. Military?

The nanny state is apparently sticking its ugly head into the United States military. Pentagon health officials are pushing Defense Secretary Robert Gates to ban the use and sale of tobacoo products by military personnel.

U.S. soldiers are trained to handle deadly weapons and smoke out enemies but they may soon find that they aren't allowed to handle cigarettes and light up a smoke.

Pentagon health experts are pressing Defense Secretary Robert Gates to ban the use of tobacco by troops and ends its sale on military property, according to USA Today.

Jack Smith, head of the Pentagon's office of clinical and program policy, told the newspaper that he will advise Gates to adopt proposals by a federal study that cites rising tobacco use and higher costs for the Pentagon and the Department of Veterans Affairs as reasons for the ban.


Although the government is within its rights to stipulate this sort of thing as part of soldiers' employment contracts -- which soldiers can turn down in favor of civilian employment if unsatisfactory -- that the government would be interested in this kind of regulation at all is concerning. Who will it regulate next?

Global Currency in the Works

We have been talking for awhile now about the possibility of a world currency, and it appears to be in the works.

July 10 (Bloomberg) -- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev illustrated his call for a supranational currency to replace the dollar by pulling from his pocket a sample coin of a “united future world currency.”

“Here it is,” Medvedev told reporters today in L’Aquila, Italy, after a summit of the Group of Eight nations. “You can see it and touch it.”

The coin, which bears the words “unity in diversity,” was minted in Belgium and presented to the heads of G-8 delegations, Medvedev said.


This is scary stuff, and there is no word from the White House on their position. If they were against something like this, they would have already come out against it. But the sad fact is Obama might be buying into this crap and he is on his way to ruining the country at the same time.

What is So Great About Sarah Palin?


Sarah Palin made a name for herself during the 2008 campaign, and in my opinion not a good one. I was excited for the first week when John McCain introduced her as his running mate, but when I got to hear her speak I lost all interest in her as a politician. But what is this kick that everybody is on right now?

From the moment that Sarah Palin resigned the governorship of Alaska, she was touted as the next nominee for the Republican Party. If that is the case, then the Republicans can never recover from their downfall. Sarah Palin is not their answer, and if they can't realize this, they will be forever in the history books.

This little sideshow by Palin stepping down from the governorship is nothing but weakness. If she was effective she would have stayed on as Governor and did the job that she was elected to do. Instead she will be used as a fundraiser for the Republicans so they can win elections. Never mind the fact that they win elections with people who are less than conservative.

The Republicans keep propping up these candidates that have no ability to communicate to the American people, and Sarah Palin is no different. Her ability to effectively communicate a message is suspect. Everybody blames this on the media, but that can't always be the answer to problems that Republicans face. Ronald Reagan might have had a media problem, but he was able to bypass this problem and communicate directly to the American people.

It is time for the Republicans to get pass the old school methods of governing and revert to a different approach. That will be the day that I might come back to them from the Libertarians, but if they keep putting up candidates like Sarah Palin, they are doomed and will keep seeing a resurgence away from the Party.

Obama Feeling the Heat for His Radical Policies


The honeymoon has been over for President Barack Obama as his poll numbers continue to fall, and more Americans become dissatisfied with his job performance.

The Politico reports:

In a potentially alarming trend for the White House, independent voters are deserting President Barack Obama nationally and especially in key swing states, recent polls suggest.

Obama’s job approval rating hit a — still healthy — low of 56 percent in the Gallup Poll on Wednesday. And pollsters are debating whether Obama’s expansive and expensive policy proposals or the ground-level realities of a still-faltering economy are driving the falling numbers.


This is actually a good sign for the country, but it might not be the opening the Republicans will need. They need to shape up their image as much as Obama and the Democrats need too.

It is clear that over the past 10 years the American people have become feed up with the two party system, because they realize that when they put one of them in power, they end up screwing the people. So what comes next? It is hard to say, but these numbers against Obama are the start of something.

Senate Blocks Attempt to Audit the Fed

Now that I am back from vacation, I was hit with the news that the United States Senate blocked an attempt by South Carolina Senator Jim Demint from adding an amendment to an appropriations bill to audit the fed.

From the Campaign for Liberty:

A little while ago, the Senate voted to pass HR 2918, the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act. This $3.1 billion bill contains, among many other things, provisions for GAO audits on certain agencies.

With this in mind, Senator DeMint attached the full text of S 604, the Senate version of Ron Paul's Audit the Fed bill, to HR 2918 as Senate Amendment 1367 before it was considered for final passage.

However, Senate Democrats refused to even allow a vote on the amendment! Instead of giving it a chance to stand before the Senate, they swept it under the rug with a parliamentary tactic.

After Senator DeMint brought Audit the Fed to the floor, Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska raised a "point of order" to prevent a vote, claiming that the amendment violated Senate Rule 16 by "legislating" on an appropriations bill. The Senate president agreed, and the amendment was shot down.

Senator DeMint did not back down, though, and directly challenged Senate leadership by pointing out the other GAO audits contained in the bill. As Senator DeMint listed them off, the Senate president was forced to agree with Senator DeMint that each one he described, all of which would be left in for final passage, also violated Senate Rule 16.

So the issue wasn't about "legislating" on the bill or violating the Senate Rules (which is commonly done), it was about preventing a thorough audit of the Federal Reserve for the first time in its history!


All this proves is the Democratic leadership is in the bed with the Fed and their secret dealings. This could have been a great opportunity to move forward with this movement, but they decided to stop any attempt to try.

It is time these politicians are called out on their attempt to block transparency to the government.

July 4th--Independence Day


I will be in Las Vegas for the next few days celebrating Freedom and Liberty. No new posts will be available until I return. Happy 4th of July everyone!


Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence ?

Five signers were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died.

Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned. Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured.

Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War.

They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.

What kind of men were they?

Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists.

Eleven were merchants, nine were farmers and large plantation owners; men of means, well educated, but they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured.

Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags.

Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly.

He served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his reward.

Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton.

At the battle of Yorktown , Thomas Nelson, Jr., noted that the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters. He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt.

Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months.

John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his children vanished.

So, take a few minutes while enjoying your 4th of July holiday and silently thank these patriots. It's not much to ask for the price they paid.

Senate Bill Fines People More Than $1,000 for Refusing Health Care Coverage


What is Freedom? Is it just something we made up, or is it a God given right? Well it seems that in the United States Senate, they could care less about your Freedom, and more about exulting their power.

WASHINGTON -- Americans who refuse to buy affordable medical coverage could be hit with fines of more than $1,000 under a health care overhaul bill unveiled Thursday by key Senate Democrats looking to fulfill President Obama's top domestic priority.

The Congressional Budget Office estimated the fines will raise around $36 billion over 10 years. Senate aides said the penalties would be modeled on the approach taken by Massachusetts, which now imposes a fine of about $1,000 a year on individuals who refuse to get coverage. Under the federal legislation, families would pay higher penalties than individuals.


This is almost a joke, but the reality is starting to sink in...we are moving more away from true principles of Freedom and Liberty, and more towards tyrannical rule. This story is insane!

How can a government step in and force you to have health insurance? What kind of country is this? I am almost scared and something needs to be done quick.

Federal Agents Hunting for Guns One House at a Time

That quote has so much meaning in our lives, and the society we live in today. Chron.com is reporting that Federal agents are going door to door in Houston looking for peoples guns. They are basing this off of cartels of guns being smuggled into the United States through Mexico, or is it something else?

The ATF recently dispatched 100 veteran agents to its Houston division, which reaches to the border.

The mission is especially challenging because, officials say, that while Houston is the number one point of origin for weapons traced back to the United States from Mexico, the government can’t compile databases on gun owners under federal law.

Agents instead review firearms dealers’ records in person.

People who are legally in the United States and have clean criminal records, but are facing economic problems are often recruited by traffickers to buy weapons on their behalf in order to shield themselves from scrutiny
.

When Federal agents go door to door in search of guns, we live under tyranny. This would only be justified if the agents had an individual and specific warrant for every single house. Mass searches like this suggest that no "probable cause" has been established as is required in the Constitution, and the purchase of an expensive gun is hardly indicative of criminal behavior. It's actually indicative of an exercise of our Second Amendment rights.

Repeal of the 22nd Amendment?


Just when you thought things couldn't get any crazier than they already have, here comes along a bill that currently isn't popular, but with this Congress, things can change really quick.

Rep Jose Serrano (D-NY) introduced earlier this year, and the media doesn't talk about these things until they actually come of something, a House Joint Resolution to repeal the 22nd Amendment to the United States Constitution. For all you none Constitutional scholars like myself, this is the Amendment that limits the number of terms a President can serve to two.

Here is the text of the legislation H. J. RES. 5:

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled (two-thirds of each House concurring therein), That the following article is proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years after the date of its submission for ratification


While this bill doesn't have any co-sponsors at the moment, who wants to bet that this bill becomes popular in the next couple of years, or if President Obama wins re-election?

This could be the start of tyrannical rule, and if it does come to something, then the theories preached by people like me will be validated.
