Ron Paul’s Predictions about Iran, Israel, China and What that Means for The United States

by A.M. Novoa

Sometimes you have to read between the lines. With the government, you better do it all the time. There is almost always more to it then what they want the public to know. The following is an excerpt from the transcript of the Glenn Beck Radio Show, that aired September 30, 2009, in which Glenn Beck interviews Ron Paul. I thought it was interesting to hear what Ron Paul had to say about recent events regarding Iran and Israel. I have always been a big supporter of Israel and I am not too fond of Iran’s government and their mouthy Tyrant at the helm, however I think there is a lot more “at play” here than what we are seeing portrayed in the media. Hilary Clinton made a trip to China earlier this year and human rights never came up. It is a little hard to slap the hand that feeds you, literally. If this all goes south with Iran and that is an important to understand that China is in a very good position. Please read on and post your thoughts.

GLENN: What happens when Israel strikes Iran or Iran has the Earth rays and we know that they now have a nuclear weapon, what happens to our financial system at that point?

RON PAUL: I think the Chinese take over. If there's a real panic and oil shoots up to a couple of hundred bucks, the Chinese will dump their dollars. Chinese are maneuvering for this. The more we threaten Iran, the stronger the Chinese influence gets because they're using the dollars that they have earned from us and saved, they have a trillion, and they are starting to buy up assets in Iran and build plants and get involved in their energy. So the whole thing is back firing on us. We're getting ready to put tougher sanctions on the Iranians and that will make things that much worse. It won't help the dissidents in Iran. It's going to cost us a lot of money, and there will be a bombing and that will be a big, big event. I think it will crash the dollar is what I think it would do.

GLENN: What does America look like after a crashed dollar?

RON PAUL: Not like it looks today. We think it was bad with the financial crisis. When you have a dollar crisis, the whole thing quits functioning. The checks bounce and literally the federal government's checks bounce if you have -- if inflation goes up --

GLENN: Wait, wait, wait, wait. Does that mean that all of your friends in Washington then just go away?

RON PAUL: Yeah, that might be a good part of it.

GLENN: That might be a good idea! I say we crash the dollar today if that's the effect!

RON PAUL: I think we're going to have a de facto Tenth Amendment, secession. People are just going to ignore the federal government because they won't -- and there's, you know, a total loss of credibility. You know, this idea that Obama says that we're going to have all this new medical care, we're going to take care of everybody and it's not going to cost us anything and we're going to balance the budget and actually cut the deficit by giving people more services, all that does is build, you know, the lack of credibility and people just say that's not believable. But no, it will continue that way. And the checks will keep coming. People will get their Social Security checks. But like this year, even though there's been a lot of inflation that they don't admit to, there's no cost of living increases in the Social Security check. So the people who are dependent on fixed incomes or Social Security, their standard of living is going down right now and it will continue to go down. It will go down rapidly in the midst of a dollar crisis.

GLENN: John -- I mean, Congressman Paul, the media and even Patrick Kennedy said this, we heard this from two people, Muammar Gaddafi and I believe the other one was Ahmadinejad that both spoke last week and they -- we're hearing it all the time that there's going to be violence here in America, that people are targeting. Basically everyone is going to blame this on the right, any kind of violence. They are setting up any violence on those who are from the right or, you know, from the tea party movement. Are you concerned about this and what is happening in Washington where Nancy Pelosi comes out and says -- you know, she starts to cry and, you know, says that she's seen it before and we're going to see it again?

RON PAUL: I think that there will be violence. I hope we don't have to go through, you know, a very violent period of time, but that's what happens too often when the government runs out of money and runs out of wealth, the people argue over, you know, a shrinking pie and, of course, the people who have to produce are sick and tired of producing.

GLENN: But I think what they're saying is there would be -- violence would come first.

RON PAUL: I think it will come after a dollar crisis. I think you are always going to have some violence but, you know, I lived through the Sixties and I was in the military during that time, and I know the Sixties were very rough and there was a lot of violence there. I don't think next month we're going to have anything like the violence we had in the Sixties, but potentially if we do have a dollar crisis and the whole system comes unglued, then I think there's going to be a lot more violence, especially in the inner cities.

The American Dream

So I was browsing around YouTube today and ran across a video that kinda sums up how people feel about the government anymore these days.

It is a bit that George Carlin did back in 2005, and to me it is pretty much the truth:

(Warning!! Harsh Language)

Are You a Racist?

If you have disagreements with President Obama than you are probably wondering....am I a racist?

Well, this flow chart will help you find out the answer you are looking for:

Always remember....the race card is played by desperate people.

Ron Paul on the Daily Show

Do you wonder why our government has gotten so big? The answer could be because of spending coming out of Washington, but the real answer lies with the Federal Reserve System. They have the capability of manipulating the free market, and financing the government to no end.

Here is Ron Paul's interview on Jon Stewarts "The Daily Show"

It is time to start listening to this man. He knows what he is talking about, and is currently the only person in Washington that can restor our Liberties.

Montana Town Occupied By Private Paramilitary Security Force

The pieces just keep falling into place when it comes to the secrecy of our government, and their intention to strip away our liberties.

It now appears that a private paramilitary force is patrolling the streets of Hardin, Montana. This private force, known as the American Police Force, whose biggest role is helping the U.S. government to combat terrorism, is now patrolling the streets of the United States.

Watch this video from the local news outlet in Monatana:

The weird part about this news report is the fact that Hardin doesn't have a city police force. They are protected by the county sherriff, and all of a sudden this security company has come in and started patrolling the town?

More and more everyday the FEMA camps become more realistic. There is numerous documentation of these camps being built and all of them are currently empty. I really hope none of this is true, but there is a lot of evidence on this matter.

Community Organizers Praying to Obama?

We have all seen the videos of little children singing songs of praise to President Obama, but what about people praying to the President?

In this video, we see a group of community organizers praying to President Obama. The video seems to take place during the time he was President elect, but this is a shocking discovery:

These people, and everyone else in this country that worships Obama, need to realize that in this country we do not worship our Presidents. The founding fathers shed blood so we wouldn't have to do such a thing.

Where is the sanity in this country?

Rethinking Barack Obama

By Roger F. Gay

Barack Obama dismisses his critics with the enthusiasm of a child leaving school for summer vacation. Perhaps we are not completely right about everything we say. Reading someone on the inside, especially someone who plays us with carefully practiced external behavior is a tricky business. A week ago, George Stephanopolous (ABC) questioned Mr. Obama about his contention that a federal law making health insurance mandatory for everyone is not a tax increase. Watching this clip of the interview again, resulted in a transformative moment. Have I misjudged Barack Obama?

A comparison given by Barack Obama during the interview set me to thinking.

The responsibility to get health insurance is absolutely not a tax increase … any more than the fact that right now everybody in America, just about, has to get auto insurance. Nobody considers that a tax increase. People say to themselves, that is a fair way to make sure that if you hit my car, that I'm not covering all the costs.

Hold on, I thought. The issues of health and auto insurance are fundamentally different. This insight was helped along by the fact that I'm an old guy. I recall the debate on mandatory auto insurance well enough to know its tipping point. Owning and driving a car is not a fundamental right. You may operate a vehicle on private land without insurance, and without a drivers' license for that matter. It is however, within the scope of state and local government authority to regulate driving on public streets and roads for the sake of public safety. That established authority was extended to assure liability coverage in case a driver causes damage to other people and their property.

Like Obama's supporters, I too was impressed with his campaign performance, trouncing Hillary Clinton – beating her at her own game; manipulating the press as he manipulated the rest of his audience. Dishonest yes – but intelligent, I thought then. Cold, calculating, and manipulative. Perhaps I was wrong. After the election, handling questions impromptu rather than reading his teleprompter or reciting well practiced speeches, he appeared on occasion to be a bumbling idiot. Perhaps European commentators are right, I thought. Barack Obama isn't evil. He's just young and inexperienced, and too full of himself to seek wiser council on complicated matters when needed. Or, as many have observed; just hangs with a bad crowd and has been too heavily influenced by bizarre ideas from the fringe.

Then I thought again.

Before running for office, Barack Obama graduated from Columbia University (political science) and Harvard Law School, was president of the Harvard Law Review, a University of Chicago constitutional law professor, and an experienced civil rights attorney. It is within reason to believe that he has a basic understanding of his proposals for legal reform and the arguments he makes to promote them. We can, I assert, grant Barack Obama full responsibility for his own beliefs and behavior. We can, honestly and without reservation, fault him for the implications of his proposals.

Glaringly obvious at once is the fact that the one identifiable trigger for mandatory health insurance, our existence, is a fundamental right. (“... life, …”) Any competent constitutional lawyer or law professor, especially one practiced in civil rights law, understands that any successful shift in legal jurisdication to the federal government results in the elimination of civil rights. The shift requires reclassification of laws to social or economic policy, allowing completely arbitrary political control (with the exception of draconian equal treatment). (“... liberty, ...”) A political science graduate, and holder of the office of president, surrounded by as many economic and budget analysts as he pleases as well as other political scientists and historians, Barack Obama also understands the implications of pulling heath care, along with other major parts of the U.S. economy, into the mandatory portion of the federal budget. We all get the bill, one so large that it will cause generations of suffering. (“... and the pursuit of happiness.”)

Whether or not forcing the cost of mandatory health insurance on the public is properly labeled a “tax” or not is a trivial matter. A rose, or its fertilizer, smells the same regardless of the name you choose. Much more important is that Barack Obama plans – yes, knowingly and intentionally – to make our very existence a sufficient basis for exercising arbitrary political control. He plans to overthrow Constitutional rule once and for all. This is by any reasonable definition, a “High Crime” against the United States of America. It is a coup.

I was right the first time. Barack Obama is an evil man.

Empire State Building to Honor the 60th Anniversary of Communist China

This is something out of a playbook that I don't want to see. The Empire State Building in New York City will honor the 60th Anniversary of communist China by lighting up the building with the red and yellow colors.

From the AP:

NEW YORK — New York's iconic Empire State Building will light up red and yellow Wednesday in honor of the 60th anniversary of communist China.

The Chinese consul, Peng Keyu, and other officials will take part in the lighting ceremony which will bathe the skyscraper in the colors of the People's Republic until Thursday, Empire State Building representatives said in a statement.

So when did we start honoring countries that spit in the face of Liberty? Well we do it all the time, but illuminating one of the tallest buildings in a city that screams American freedom is just a disgrace.

This is what our country has come to??

Hollyweird

By A.M. Novoa

Economic expert Will Ferrell weighed in on the great healthcare debate and brought along a few of his brilliant friends. Mr. Will Ferrell, who earns about $20 million-per-movie, thinks he knows all about how we average people are suffering under our current healthcare system. He and his friends think that we should all be under the socialized system that the liberals are proposing that will effectively kill the health insurance free market. Mr. Ferrell stick to your day job. This is one of the worst pieces of legislation to ever be considered. Our current healthcare needs some serious improvements, but we don’t not need to adopt a system that has not worked and is not working well anywhere else.

I don’t understand how these celebrities think they understand the pain of the little guy. They are not the little guys! I think if they have a problem with what insurance executives make they should take a pay cuts themselves. Why does Will Ferrell need 20 million dollars? Why do any of them need to make that kind of money? Take the splinter out of your own eye before you go digging around in some one else’s! I am glad they have had success but how would they feel if we all put out commercials urging socialization of the entertainment industry and limiting their incomes. I think they’d quickly be singing another tune, don’t you?

We live in a country where someone can wait tables one day and with a little hard work can rise to the level of “celebrity” and make more money than many, many of us put together. Yet ironically these folks think it is ok to take from other folks that have worked hard to get where they are at. Weird.

Swine Flu Checkpoints on the Way?

There has been a lot of talk in the media about the creation of a swine flu vaccine that will begin to be circulated throughout the United States. The government is insistent on getting everyone in this country vaccinated in a effort to curtail the virus, but there are now talks about forced vaccinations.

We discussed this possibility last week with the passage of a law in Massachusetts that would give the Governor of that state emergency power to send police into the homes of citizens and vaccinate them. Go to this link to read that story.

Now there are rumors floating around that checkpoints will be set up in states to see if you have recieved the vaccine; and if you haven't they will vaccinate you right there on the road. But what if you refuse? Former Kansas state trooper Greg Evensen spoke of checkpoints recently, and how they will pretty much force you to get the vaccine, or send you on a bus to a military base:

This is some scary stuff! The rumors of FEMA Camps started really circulating last year, and the videos of FEMA coffins surfaced on the internet. Now there might be a need for these camps if people refuse to take the shot.

This is America?? Our leaders are talking about busting down our doors and forcibly sticking us with a needle? Sounds more like Hitler's Germany than the land of the free....

Stand up for Freedom and Liberty and watch out for this stuff. If you experience something like this, email us at conservativeforchange@gmail.com with pictures, video, anything!

Milton Friedman- Explains in Plain Terms Why Socialism Does Not Work

By A.M. Novoa

One thing I find tragic about today’s schools is the fact that history, real history, isn’t always taught. It is not surprising as groups like the statist NEA have a lot of heavy handed control over what children learn and don’t learn. Young Americans by and large do not understand that our freedoms were being chipped away at even before most of them were born. Many very wise individuals saw this coming and were vocal about it. They did the very best they could to protect their children’s and their grandchildren’s future freedoms and liberties. Unfortunately there has been a very sober, vocal and determined minority that is very organized and has been planning a lot of what we see happening today. They are succeeding and if we as Americans do not become sober, vocal and as determined as they are our freedoms will quickly diminish.

One such very vocal and wise man, Milton Friedman spoke about his views about socialism, government regulation of our economy. Milton Freidman (July 31, 1912 – November 16, 2006) was an American economist, statistician and public intellectual, and a recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics. He is best known among scholars for his theoretical and empirical research, especially consumption analysis, monetary history and theory, and for his demonstration of the complexity of stabilization policy. The following are an example of Friedman’s ideals, thoughts and predictions.

The Libertarian Revolution

The Republican Party has lost its way...the Democrats are hated as always...so where do we go from here? The people of this country are getting tired of the government telling them how to live their lives, and there is an answer for them...Libertarianism!

A revolution is on in this country for our Freedom and Liberty. Libertarianism provides the safe haven that we need to free ourselves from the controls of government. The infiltration is on in the Republican Party by candidates that are very Libertarian in their beliefs.

In this video, Reason's Nick Gillespie and Judge Andrew Napolitano discuss the death of conservatism and the future of Libertarianism:

What is Social Justice?

By A.M. Novoa

Words are really powerful things. Sometimes we don’t really pay closed attention to words that are being tossed around in our society. One phrase that gets thrown around quite a bit, particularly by those that identify themselves as “Progressives”, is Social Justice.

Social Justice, sometimes called civil justice, is a concept largely based on various social contract theories. Most variations, on the concept hold that as governments are instituted among populations for the benefit of members of the those populations, those governments which fail to see to the welfare of their citizens are failing to uphold their part in the social contract and are, therefore, unjust. The concept usually includes, but is not limited to, upholding human rights; many variants also contain some statements concerning more equitable distributions of wealth and resources. ( http://www.wordiq.com) Social Justice does not appear to bad thing, on the surface. It is the variants of it that can be dangerous. When a government defines what it believes social justice is, based on it’s own political goals, things can go drastically wrong.

We need to break it all down a bit to understand what this is all about and what the social justice goals of this “progressive” administration are. The history of this phrase is quite striking. The concept of social contract is the brainchild of Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Rousseau was an influential French essayist and prominent liberal and socialist social theorist and was an important influence for Karl Marx, German philosopher, political economist, historian, political theorist, sociologist, communist and revolutionary, whose ideas are credited as the foundation of modern communism. Rousseau demanded complete equality between all people, detested Catholicism along with other institutions as well as private forms of Christianity and believed that mankind would be better off with his idea of a civil religion wedded to the state. Being a socialist he advocated a system of government which gave the state ownership of the means of production with equal distribution of goods among the people. The central goal is to establish a "worker's paradise"-an ideal state with perfect equality.

So social justice for the leftist, statist or progressive means taking from those that have and giving to those who don’t have irregardless of merit, education or effort. It masquerades as helping the poor and disadvantaged, but is far from it. The end result is typically tyranny, mass poverty, oppression of free ideals and belief systems that do not line up with what is approved by the “state” and a depressed economy such as occurred in Cuba and the former USSR. A capitalistic government, for the progressive, is an assault to social justice and therefore in their view is unjust. Pursuing economic prosperity, owning personal property and holding personal beliefs differing from the accepted way of thought is seen as freedom, liberty and a deeply held American principle by most of us who would classify ourselves as conservative or libertarian.  The progressive, on the other hand, who really understands what they claim to believe, would see those freedoms as oppressive to others and in effect social injustice. They seek to use the government to collectively control every aspect of a person’s life to line up with what they interpret to be equality for all. Unknowingly what they create is an even greater injustice, which is in effect a form of slavery. Sadly, I don’t think many of them understand the roots of the philosophy to which they claim to believe.

Police Attack U.S. Citizens While Protesting World Government

Members of the military and local police force attacked protesters exercising their 1st Amendment rights to protest the idea of world government and the destruction of our Liberties.

This video was captured by members of infowars.com. They were covering the protests and were attacked by sound guns from these law enforcement members.

If this is what our country is coming to,  than we are in need of a revolution.

The End of the Republic--At the Hands of Obama

President Obama and the elite of the world are meeting in Philadelphia with the G-20 and they are selling this country to world bankers and despots that will strip away all the Liberty we have left in this country.

The push is now on for a global government and a global currency to rule the world and the people that live in it. From Yahoo News:

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (AFP) – The embattled US dollar is expected to come under scrutiny at a summit of developing and industrialized nations following China-led calls to review its role as a reserve currency.
The dollar issue is bound to surface at the two-day meeting in Pittsburgh as US President Barack Obama and other leaders of the Group of 20 economies debate a new framework for tackling the so called global "economic imbalances" blamed for fuelling the latest financial crisis.

If this country is sold to the world, than President Barack Obama needs to be impeached from office and charged with treason.  The Constitution of the United States has been put on the back burner for control of the world.

Some people dismiss the idea of a New World Order, but the pieces have been falling into place for many years. It is all over the news as we speak, and it is time to wake up!

The time has come to stand up for this country and the Republic that our founding fathers left for us. As Benjamin Franklin once said in response to a question about our government.

"Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?"
With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded,
"A republic, if you can keep it."

Ron Paul: "No One Has A Right To Medical Care"

We hear the argument everyday that there is some inherent right to health care in this country. Where does this right come from? And from whom?

The fact is no one has a right to medical care in this country. It is against the notion behind Liberty that someone has a right to someone else life and property.

Ron Paul explains this idea in this video:

The Ron Paul Legacy

Last year Ron Paul sparked an interest in the grassroots of America by promoting the idea of true conservatism, or the fundamental principles of Liberty.

Now after the Revolution has sparked, candidates across the country are popping up and running for office in the Ron Paul legacy. From the Politico:

It’s been over a year since Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) energized libertarians with his presidential candidacy, but the movement he inspired continues to ripple across the landscape.

In at least a handful of House, Senate and gubernatorial contests across the country, former Paul supporters have emerged as credible contenders — or possible spoilers — ensuring that his message, once relegated to the fringes of Republican politics, continues to be heard.

The Republican establishment still will not get behind the true principles that once dominated the party. Free markets, sound money, and a non-interventionist foreign policy. Rand Paul, Ron Paul's son, is beating back against the establishment today:

Rand Paul has raised more than $924,000, and his supporters held another money-bomb event Wednesday to protest a Washington fundraiser that National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman John Cornyn of Texas and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky are headlining for Grayson this week.

Peter Schiff, Ron Paul's economic adviser during the campaign, is seeking to unseat Chris Dodd in Connecticut. The message is spreading and the time is coming to bring this country back from the brink, and promote the ideas of Freedom and Liberty.

Here is both of the Paul's on Cavuto's show:

Obama Continues Global Warming Hoax

By Roger F. Gay

The American people are more than just a little sick of being lied to and cheated by their politicians. Barack Obama remains defiant, trivializing historic protests taking place throughout the nation.

In his most recent PR thrust, this past Friday, he brushed the national fury aside, describing it as typical right-left drivel, and likened himself to Franklin D. Roosevelt. FDR, of course, instituted a number of socialist programs, many of which were imported from Sweden, in the face of opposition. The message was clear. Implementation of Obama's agenda is a foregone conclusion. What the American people want and what they have to say just doesn't matter.

That was followed by action. Back to business-as-usual on Tuesday, he addressed a group at the United Nations in a process intended to lead to a new international Cap-n-Trade agreement.

That so many of us are here today, is recognition that the threat of climate change is serious, it is urgent, and it is growing. Our generation's response to this challenge will be judged by history. For if we fail to meet it boldly, swiftly, and together, we risk consigning future generations to an irreversible catastrophe. No nation, however large or small, wealthy or poor, can escape the impact of climate change. Rising sea levels threaten every coast line. More powerful storms and floods threaten every continent. More frequent droughts and crop failure breed hunger and conflict in places where hunger and conflict already thrive. On shrinking islands, families are already being forced to flee their homes as climate refugees. The security and stability of each nation and all peoples, our prosperity, our health, and our safety are in jeopardy, and the time we have to reverse this tide is running out. And yet, we can reverse it. John F. Kennedy once observed that our problems are man-made, therefore they may be solved by man.

Even while protagonists continue the propaganda campaign, an already large and still growing number of people realize that the global warming scare is a hoax. Climate change is not man-made and there is nothing we can do that would have a significant impact on global climate. Carbon dioxide, made the villain in the fake battle, is not a pollutant nor is it threatening catostrophic global warming. The threat of rising sea levels, more powerful storms and floods, droughts and crop failures, shrinking islands and climate refugees are ideas popularized by Al Gore's work of fiction, “An Inconvenient Truth.”

Meanwhile, the climate seems to be in a bit of a cooling trend. Even this doesn't seem to matter. We can only imagine that the election campaign in 2012 may sport a claim that rapid political action is already yielding positive results. Perhaps then, the army of unemployed, growing in response to Barack Obama's leadership, will remind us of what we already know. BO is not FDR.

Forced H1N1 Vaccinations in Massachusetts?

"When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty."--Thomas Jefferson

What does that quote mean to you?

If you are a freedom loving person, than you live by that quote. But our freedom's might be disappearing right before our eyes.

In this video Judge Andrew Napolitano comments on the unconstitutional bill in Massachusetts that will allow the governor to declare an emergency and “allow” police to force their way into your homes and vaccinate you:

Obama to Push for New World Order at G20 Summit

If you are one that would like to see the destruction of the American way of life, than this story will be of delight. If you fear that as sovereign Americans, we will lose all of our Freedoms and Liberties, than this story will scare the crap out of you.

President Obama will be spending his time at the G20 summit pushing for a new economic world order. From Reuters:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States will urge world leaders this week to launch a new push in November to rebalance the world economy, but there are doubts national governments will bow to external advice.

A document outlining the U.S. position ahead of the September 24-25 Group of 20 summit in Pittsburgh said exporters, which include China, Germany and Japan, should consume more, while debtors like the United States ought to boost savings.

"The world will face anemic growth if adjustments in one part of the global economy are not matched by offsetting adjustments in other parts," said the document, which was obtained by Reuters on Monday.

This is all an attempt to drive us into a world currency and enslave the people of the world under one dictatorial government. Many people will claim this as a conspiracy theory, including Obama, but the cards are falling into place ever since he became President. Bush was a puppet for the NWO, but never publicly proclaimed the need to move in this direction, but Obama has been all over it.

Our founding fathers are rolling over in their graves right now. They warned against entangling ourselves in alliances with other countries, and this is why. We will sell our sovereignty to somebody we didn't elect, and lose all our Liberties.

What is a Libertarian?--And Why It is the Only True Philosophy

By A.M. Novoa

Lately it seems many people are finding the Libertarian philosophy more and more appealing than ever before. Americans are tired of big government and widespread corruption and are quickly figuring out how little control they have over their own lives and choices as a result. We seem to be as a country exploring our roots and what it is we believe, exactly. The realization that we have severely veered off the proverbial freedom path is becoming painfully evident. Even with this realization, I am not sure everyone understands what the philosophy of Libertarianism entails so I think it is important to explore it and have a better understanding of this school of thought.

Being a Libertarian is not simply belonging to a political party. Being a Libertarian is adhering to a set of ideals in belief, attitude and conduct in regards to your fellow man. There are a variety of individuals that call themselves Libertarian. Their philosophies can be and are at times vast but they tend to come together on some key ideals.

According the American Heritage Dictionary a Libertarian is, in broad terms, is an individual that advocates maximizing individual rights and minimizing the role of the states. Libertarians are neither right, nor left but believe that you have the right to decide for yourself what's best for you and to act on that belief so long as you respect the right of other people to do the same and deal with them peacefully and honestly. Conservatives in general tend to be libertarian on economic issues, whereas Liberals tend to be libertarian on social issues. Libertarians believe in minimal government involvement in individual’s lives. The only exceptions would be when a person’s rights are being violated. For example if someone committing murder, rape, robbery, theft, fraud, embezzlement, arson, trespass, etc., then it's correct to call on government to help the victim against the wrongdoer. If this is not the case, the government should not get involved. Libertarianism is not anarchy, but very limited government.

If you are not a Christian this argument doesn’t apply to you, but I have heard the criticisms that a Christian can not be a libertarian because of the Libertarian Party’s stance on social issues. I would say to impose upon another’s freedoms is wrong. God, if you are a Christian, gives man free will. To legislate morality conflicts with man’s free will, given by God, even if we personally judge the actions of another to be immoral or a poor choice. This is a difficult paradigm of thought that I personally have wrestled with as a believer. With all their positive attributes, I have seen the error in the religious right’s thinking and come to the conclusion that they are reaping now what they have sown in the form of over legislation and governmental control.

"Libertarianism is not inherently godless. In fact, it is the only political philosophy that is truly in accordance with Christianity." -- Vox Day

Town Halls and Tea Parties-Where do we go from here?

by: Gary Fouse

No matter what the news media would have us believe, the ordinary, working, tax-paying Americans have won some significant battles in the past few months. From the town hall meetings to the tea parties, the videos and the blogs show that we have let our voices be heard-and in a responsible and lawful way. In spite of the labels that the Democrats and their media allies have attached to us, we have given a clear demonstration how everyday Americans can let their government know that they are heading in the wrong direction. Yes, the media has joined with the Democrats in saying that the town hall protests and tea parties are a sign of dangerous, violent and racist forces threatening civil discourse-a false charge if there ever was one. In the handful of town hall protests where some violence broke out, it was instigated and committed by pro-government health care goons. In one Arizona event, much was made of one citizen who showed up armed in order to make a 2nd amendment statement. Yet, it is hard to find the gentleman's picture in the media-because he happened to be black.
I could go on and on about the hypocrisy and lies of the Democrats and the media in portraying the people's backlash to President Obama's policies. However, what I want to focus on here is the question of where do we go from here.

Now that Congress is back in session, the town halls have concluded, and the march on Washington has been a great success, albeit underplayed by the media, we must press ahead with our goal of defeating the socialization of America. Presently, we are in the middle of the debate over government health care. We are winning that debate, but we still might lose that battle due to the Democratic majority both in the House and the Senate. But we can't lose sight of the other battles that are coming down the road; amnesty for illegal aliens, government takeover of many aspects of our lives, forced unionization through the so-called "Employee Free Choice Act", and the shutting down of conservative talk radio through the "Fairness Doctrine". What these issues require is the same level of intensity in tea parties across the nation and the attention of the conservative blogosphere and talk radio.

Conservatives must also face down the phony charges of racism that are being expounded by people like MSNBC, Jimmy Carter and Maureen Dowd, the latter who wrote that what Joe Wilson really meant to say was , "You lie, boy." He did not say that, and Dowd is disingenuous in implying that was his true meaning.

Americans are not rebelling against President Obama because he is black or part-black. Were he a conservative black along the lines of say, Condoleeza Rice or Michael Steele, we would be supporting him-while liberals would be castigating him as an "Uncle Tom" or a "sell-out". Ask black conservatives like Clarence Thomas, Janice Rogers Brown, Thomas Sowell and others what kind of treatment they get from the left for their beliefs. The fact is that we oppose President Obama because of his policies, which are leading the country into socialism and economic bankruptcy. We cannot let the "racist" accusation silence our voices.

Tea parties must continue beyond the health care issue. They should be held to protest any attempt to silence the voices of those who speak for us, whether it be Fox News, talk radio or the conservative blogosphere.

Another issue that must be in the forefront of our protests is government corruption, which is becoming worse every day. We must speak out against it whether it involves Democratic politicians or Republican politicians. We must be honest that several Republicans have been caught with their hands-or other body parts- in the cookie jar lately. Therefore, as we demand the removal of crooked politicians like William Jefferson, we must also demand the removal of the John Ensigns, Mark Sanfords, David Vitters' and other Republicans who have betrayed the public trust. If we do not, then we are hypocrites. There are few things worse than public corruption and the abuse of power. That is a major problem today in America, and it should be a focus of future protests.

If the Republican Party asks for our votes in future elections to reverse the trend in Washington and at the state level, then we must demand that they hold to their promises. In 1994, the Republicans swept into power in Congress based on a promise to reverse the corruption and left-ward drift in government. They went to Washington and joined the system-forgetting the pledges they had made. As a result, they are out of power-and deservedly so. If they want to come back into power, they need to know that we will hold their feet to the fire.

Whatever happens to the present health care debate, the protests that have shaken this land must continue. The health care issue will likely be settled-for better or worse-in the coming months. But there are other important battles ahead. From President Obama's speech Wednesday to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, it is readily apparent that "immigration reform" is coming back and once accomplished, will place present-day illegal aliens under the government health care umbrella notwithstanding Obama's pledge in his address to Congress, which sparked Joe Wilson's outburst. We can't allow the momentum to spend itself now. It must continue into the 2010 elections and the next presidential election.

We also must continue to call out the media, which has become a national joke. Rush Limbaugh-half in jest- calls it the "State-Run Media". That is partially true only because the state doesn't need to run the media, rather the media is a willing and eager partner. The only thing missing here is a Josef Goebbels-only because he isn't needed. Our mission is to continue to show the public the blatant dishonesty of the mainstream media-as if it isn't right in front of their eyes. We must continue to be the alternative voice until the media either reforms itself back to what it should be or collapses-which is what is happening as we speak.

Make no mistake, we have a White House, Congress and mainstream media that ridicules the average American tax-payer and is not reluctant to apply the worst labels to us. Beyond the health care issue, we need to maintain our vigilance and speak out-legally and peacefully to be sure-but continue to speak out.

After all. What are they going to do-arrest us?

Ron Paul's "End the Fed"--A Must Read!

I just finished reading Ron Paul's new book End the Fed and have to say that it was one of the best books I have read in awhile. This is a must read by anyone that cares about their freedom and liberty.

Never has a time been more pressing than now to rid ourselves of tyrannical rule by the likes of the Fed. Its powers are endless, and Ron Paul paints this picture quite well.

The Fed's policy of creating money out of thin air drives up inflation and puts a hidden tax especially on the middle and poorer classes. The wealthy in power profit from this policy while the rest of us suffer. The central bank thus manipulates the economy to benefit the government and its corrupted cronies and and push us further toward statism.

Take this quote from the book as an example:

From April 2008 to April 2009, the adjusted monetary base shot up from $856 billion to an unbelieveable $1.749 trillion. Was there any new wealth created? New production? No, this was the Ben Bernake printing press at work. If you and I did anything similar, we would be called counterfeiters and be sent away for a lifetime in prison. We would be scorned and hated by everyone as scam artists and racketeers.

As Ron Paul points out in the book, few in Congress see the destruction that the Fed causes because they benefit from its policies. The Fed creates money from nothing and congressmen earmark it for their districts to assure reelection.

He also argues against the mentality that some companies are "too big to fail." The Federal Reserve has stepped in to claim that certain companies need protection in order to ensure the survival of the economy, but they forget that they are the ones that caused the problem in the first place.

Take this quote from the book:

In a capitalist economy, the prospect of failure imposes discipline and consumer service. It is an essential aspect of the competitive marketplace, whereas a promise against failure only entrenches inefficiency and incompetency.

The American people and most members of Congress don't have a clue what goes on inside the Federal Reserve and never questioned its existence until now. The idea to end the Fed scares some people because they believe the Fed is there as a protection. They know nothing else, because they were only taught one way. This is not a Democratic or Republican issue, because the defenders of the Fed come from both sides. The Fed finances their political agenda and they could care less about where the money was coming from.

No civilization has survived on a fiat currency system because it will eventually collapse at the hand of inflation. Our current money has value because we agree that it has value. It is not backed by anything other than the word of our government and others.

The time has come to take back this country from the hands of bankers. End the Fed is a great read even for complete economic novices. Ron Paul explains the issues in laymen's terms.

This final quote from the book sums it up:

[Bailout and Stimulus] spending will only stimulate sectors of the economy that are failing. This is like trying to rid the world of gravity by throwing things up in the air."

“Statist Republicans Vs. The Constitution”

By Ethan Maas

"The Constitution is the guiding document for this country. What can I do? I can be honest with you, and you can go vote. That's the way this works. Me and you might not agree on the different interpretations of the Constitution. That's fine. That's great. That's why you can vote."
-Senator Lindsey Graham, in the South Carolina Post & Courier

South Carolina's shining star of a Senator, Lindsey Graham, is at it again. After being educated on the Constitution by a constituent at a town hall meeting about health care and various other topics, he promptly dismissed the person as a Ron Paul supporter and ignored the question. Then this quote in a local newspaper appeared.

There are so many things wrong with what the Republican Senator said, it's hard to know where to begin.

The Constitution is not a "guiding document". It is a heavy chain for the federal government. If something that Congress or the President wants to do is not authorized to do it by the Constitution, then they can't do it. Plain and simple.

What does the Constitution authorize the Federal Government to do? It's in the Preamble: "establish Justice, provide domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty" for citizens and states that make up the Union. (A side note, the "general welfare" does not mean Welfare that we have today. That word was not even used like that back when the Constitution was written, and government handouts are at odds with everything the Framers ever said, as well as the spirit of the Document. The general welfare speaks of enforcing contracts between individuals as well as protecting citizens from harm by means of a navy and a well-regulated militia to provide defense.)

There are not different "interpretations" of the Constitution. There is one correct interpretation of any set of facts, and two sides to every issue: the right side, and the wrong side. You don't get to just chalk up a philosophical or political difference as a different "interpretation".

Graham is right on one point: why we can vote. We vote so we can get scum like him, who ignore and fight the Constitution every day, out of office.

I’m dying to ask Mr. Graham: What would be the point of a Constitution if people could just interpret it any way they like?

Eugenic Racism Past and Present

By A.M. Novoa

Eugenics is the study of hereditary improvement of the human race by controlled selective breeding. Most Americans think of Nazi Germany’s attempt to create a “select” race and the extermination of the Jewish people in WWII. The total figure for the Jewish genocide, including shootings and the camps, was between 5.2 and 5.8 million. This did not include 5 million other victims that perished at the hands of the Nazis’.

What most American’s do not realize is that eugenics did not originate with Hitler. The idea was created in the United States and cultivated in California. Eugenics was born as a scientific curiosity in the Victorian age. In 1863, Sir Francis Galton, a cousin of Charles Darwin, theorized that if talented people only married other talented people, the result would be an improved offspring. At the turn of the last century, Galton's ideas were brought to the United States. This happened just as Gregor Mendel's principles of heredity were rediscovered. American eugenic advocates believed religiously that the same Mendelian concepts determining the color and size of peas, corn and cattle also applied to the social and intellectual characteristics of man. In 1902, Stanford president David Starr Jordan originated the idea of "race and blood" in his racially charged rant "Blood of a Nation," in which he proclaimed that human qualities and conditions such as talent and poverty were passed through bloodlines. These so-called "progressives" combined race fears and class bias with their so-called desire to improve the world. They changed Galton's eugenics theory into a racist ideology.

Fast forward to 1916 and the founding of Planned Parenthood. To truly understand the core “values” of this organization one must look at its founder, Margaret Sanger. She believed that birth control served a great eugenic purpose by stopping those she described as the genetically "unfit" from reproducing. In 1920 she wrote the book Woman and the New Race. In her book she said of her work, “nothing more or less than the facilitation of the process of weeding out the unfit, of preventing the birth of defectives or those who will become defectives”. She and also wrote, "the most urgent problem today is how to limit and discourage the over fertility of the mentally and physically defective." She wrote also that coercion might be needed if the “wrong” people had children writing that "Possibly drastic and Spartan methods may be forced upon society if it continues complacently to encourage the chance and chaotic breeding that has resulted from our stupidly cruel sentimentalism." That doesn’t sound exactly like “Pro-Choice” to me. Who exactly are the “wrong” people having children? Sanger received massive funding from the Rockefeller Family. The American Eugenic Society (AES) officially endorsed her group in 1932, and Sanger was a dues-paying member of the AES through the 1960s. Planned Parenthood has done their best to underplay and cover up their history and the history of their founder.

We have a self-proclaimed, predominately “progressive” administration. Minorities and the poor are under the impression that this administration is “for them”. That could not be further from the truth. John Holdren, Science Czar holds eugenic views. Kathleen Sebelius Secretary of Health and Human Services has been a supporter of late term abortion. The examples go on and on. While the progressives are screaming “racist” to anyone, conservative or any other group, that oppose their policies they themselves have a long history of harmful politics in regards to the poor and minority races. They put together legislation that serves to keep them right where they are at! It is all very ironic and sad. Blacks do, indeed, have much higher rates of abortions than whites or other minority groups. In 2000, while blacks made up 17 percent of live births, they made up more than twice that share of abortions (36 percent). If those aborted children had been born, the number of blacks born would have been slightly over 50 percent greater than it was. I would contend that they have been a targeted group along with the poor, other minorities and our young people. You have to ask yourself, who is the racist?

In Title V of H.R. 3200, Subtitle B, called School-Based Health Clinics, outlines a new federal program where the government would fund health clinics near or in the nation's public schools. However, Section 399Z indicates that school officials won't be responsible for administering the clinics. Instead, that responsibility falls to the clinic sponsor, which could be Planned Parenthood -- the nation's largest abortion business that does more than 350,000 a year. Population control in action. Our tax dollars, if this bill is passed, will pay for these new centers. Whichever side of the abortion issue you reside you need to ask yourself if you feel comfortable paying for this agenda? It will be your tax dollars that fund these centers. This is a very slippery slope. You need to ask yourself, should government play God, deciding who should be born and who should not? Could you be part of that group judged to be the “wrong” kind of people to have children? It has happened before.

Returning To The Great Racial Divide

By Vincent F. Shapanus

Congressional Democrats, members of the news media, and now a former President of the United States are insistent that racism is what is motivating the massive protesting that has been going on in America in response to President Obama’s words, actions and implementation of his socialistic agenda. They have initiated a racial argument that will undoubtedly affect the mid-term elections in 2010. Playing the race card is now the final act following much criticism and the use of harsh language in which the Americans who have voiced opposition to President Obama regarding taxation, excessive government spending, health care and other issues have been characterized by Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barbara Boxer, and Steny Hoyer as no more than “Angry Mobs”, “Astro-Turf”, and “Nazi’s.”

With the censuring of Joe Wilson by Congressional Democrats many Americans are wondering why a man who spoke the truth is being vehemently attacked after he apologized for any breach of decorum that occurred by his comments during the Presidents speech to a joint session of Congress. We are also perplexed by the fact that no apologies or actions to censure have been undertaken for similar actions by Harry Reid's remarks in which he called Presdent Bush a liar, or the breeches of decorum in the Congress that occurred during President Bush’s speeches in which he was openly booed by Congressional Democrats. There seems to be some very inherent hypocrisy going on in Washington and it is appearing to be the core foundation of liberals, Congressional Democrats, and certain members of the mainstream media who continually look for approaches and language to discredit any and all political opposition to President Obama as being racially motivated.

In addition, the President has activated union intervention in the form of violence at town hall meetings, called upon Americans to turn in other Americans for dissenting against his Health Care Reform efforts, and is compiling an enemies list of those who oppose his politics. Maxine Waters has gone so far as characterizing opposition to the President’s efforts on Health Care Reform as no more than a personal attack on President Obama because he is black.

With this kind of rhetoric and accusations against individuals who are exercising their Constitutional right of free speech it is clear that race and racism will and continue to be on the minds of all Americans. Those who are being unjustly accused of racism are now focusing on the increase in interracial crime that has been perpetuated since President Obama has taken office. The recent beating of a student on a school bus in Illinois has brought outrage, and attention to the issue in which many are asking the question as to why the President has not shown outrage to such actions.

Add this to the powder keg which is growing infinitely large due to hostile words of liberals, the total silence of the mainstream media regarding the brutal and horrendous racially motivated rape and murders of Channon Christian and Michael Newsom in Tennessee. If the racial roles were reversed in this occurrence Channon and Michael would be national household names and could have affected the outcome of the Presidential election in 2008.

The President has made it a point to condemn the actions of the Cambridge, Massachusetts Police department for the arrest of Robert Gates. His focus on this event and failure to address other issues in which race is a factor is sending a vile and disheartening message to America. President Obama and his supporters are creating an environment in America in which race and racism will continue to be the focus of many Americans who are now questioning his one sided approach to this subject.

Finally, we have the words of former President Jimmy Carter who stated Tuesday that “ there’s “an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president,” and that that feeling drives some of the anti-Obama dissent.

His remarks follow the suggestion by Reps. Lacy Clay (D-Mo.) and David Scott (D-Ga.), and others “that Wilson wouldn’t have interrupted a white president”. New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd insists that racism was behind Rep. Joe Wilson outburst in Congress by stating “fair or not,” she heard “an unspoken word in the air: You lie, boy!” [1]

Prior to the the vote to censure Rep. Joe Wilson, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, Rep. Hang Johnson, poured gasoline on the fire by stating “We will have people with white hoods running through the countryside again.” [2]

Unfortunately, what has happened and will continue to happen is that all Americans are now focused on any issues and actions which may be racially motivated and perpetuate racism and racial violence. This means that every occurrence of an interracial crime in America will amplify the sentiment that as far a race and racism are concerned the focus is aimed at white Americans who are the minority perpetrators in the crime statistics regarding interracial crimes. I am sure that Dr. Martin Luther King is rolling over in his grave and wondering why America cannot grasp his concept and reminder to humanity that “You should judge a man by his character and not the color of his skin.” I am sure that if Mohandis Gandhi was asked of his opinion he would surely say that hate and anger is now motivating humanity to take the approach of “ an eye for eye” which will “make the whole world blind.”

If we stay on this course in America the day is coming when those who have not lived through the race riots of the 60’s will experience what we have experienced in their life time. The country appears heading back to the days of the great racial divide and we can thank the liberal democrats and mainstream media for initiating this negative return.

Nancy Pelosi Woosies Back on Political Violence

by: Roger Gay

Barack Obama and the Democrats took the country by storm in January – really they did. They and their large following issued statements about their power over others, threw hundreds of billions in public money out windows to friends, signed support organizations up for special powers and public funding, completed and announced further plans for government take-overs of every segment of the economy (going so far as to dictate new terms of existing private contracts and systematically breaking them), new programs that would bankrupt citizens through high taxes and consumer prices and deal a death blow to capitalism through direct intervention.

A group of real-life made for low-budget TV mini-series type crooks and commies were brought in to run things and plans were unveiled to start a Hitler Youth type organization to force children into the hive. Opposition immediately got their labels: “far-right,” “extremists,” “racists,” and “Republicans” among others, and before long the intimidation campaign began.

The most shocking came via misuse of the FBI for political purposes. In April, with no analysis or data available, the agency under Obama's command issued an “assessment” entitled “Right-wingg Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.” It wasn't particularly subtle. If you support Constitutional rule – the rule of law – over Obama's authoritarian reign, you will be on the government's domestic terrorist list. Any organization promoting Constitutional rule is considered a terrorist organization. It was a threat to put-down political opposition with violence, supported by announced plans to build a separate national army under Obama's command to be used domestically.

In recent weeks, intimidation tactics has become slightly more subtle – aimed at gently turning tender psyches more effectively than with blatant threats. For example, the left has been quite concerned lately over a White House decision to archive comments from their interactive Facebook page. Regardless of who mentioned it first, yes, I said the left – the Barack Obama and the Democrats can do no wrong subservient left – very concerned. They're afraid that anyone leaving a critical comment at the Facebook site might face political repercussions. Well, anyone who writes a critical comment in a public forum likely wants their criticism read. It would take a real tin-head (if they think about it) to believe their comments will seem more interesting to a computer archive than the human who was supposed to read it in the first place. The message isn't one given out of concern for Facebook users. The message is – hey, if you're considering criticizing the president on Facebook (or anywhere else for that matter) – worry about repercussions from the crazy crooks and commies in the White House. Given that you could be classified as a domestic terrorist, it could get pretty rough.

But this whole sabre rattling, machete swinging, shoe-banging, brain-washing, and forcing “change” that Americans oppose thing seems to be making the Democrats' first madam of the House, Nancy Pelosi, a bit nervous. She hasn't actually seen violence from their opposition yet, but she knows it can happen. She's seen her clan of “moderate humanist caring liberals” from the San Francisco area turn violent at the drop of a hat.

Choking back tears, she generously shared her wisdom to council the news media to spread fear about the hordes of middle- and retirement-aged folks who's lives they plan to destroy. She and other Democrats have seen rude signs here and there, and rudeness isn't polite. She supports freedom of speech because it makes our country great, but thinks the opposition should “curb their enthusiasm.” She fears that “the ears it is falling on are not as balanced as the person making the statement might assume.” Is she really expecting to get re-elected in San Francisco after calling them loonies?

Her statement ends by assigning “responsibility” for any violence that occurs to the political opposition; falling not particularly distant from the fake FBI assessment's ideas about domestic terrorist organizations. Except, apparently there's no need for protesters to intend any violence themselves or engage in any type of organized recruiting for that or any other purpose. You're still a potential domestic terrorist just for saying what you think.

Acorn-What must be done

by Gary Fouse
fousesquawk

Is there any remaining doubt that ACORN is a criminal organization? Only partisans on the left and nitwits can truly believe that ACORN is an honest organization with a few bad apples. This barrel is rotten through and through, and the corruption goes right to the top. Yet, this outfit has received over 50 million dollars in public funds and is slated to receive $8.5 billion under the stimulus package. This is nothing less than a serious breach of public trust. Here is what must be done.

First, Congress, if it has any credibility left at all, needs to cut off all ties with ACORN and cut off every dime from this organization. There is nothing that can justify any tax-payer money going to this bunch. In addition, every government agency must cut off all ties to ACORN. The Census Bureau has just done that in light of the newest allegations.

The US Justice Department must launch (if it has not already) a massive investigation into ACORN and its finances. That investigation should join hands with the Treasury Department (IRS) and any other agency that would have oversight into ACORN's funding and activities, such as HUD. This should take the form of a task force operation.

Federal law enforcement already has a historical base of crimes committed by ACORN personnel. There have been some 70 voter fraud convictions in some 13 states. Those could serve as the basis for a conspiracy/RICO investigation to connect the dots and connect those defendants to higher ups.

What the two private film makers did in visiting ACORN offices should have been done long ago by federal investigators operating in an undercover capacity. During the late 1980s, while I was a DEA agent in Pittsburgh, we visited several hydroponics shops undercover trying to determine which shops were knowingly selling growing equipment to marijuana growers. This was part of a nation-wide effort. This could have been and should have been done already by federal law enforcement. If not, someone should have to answer why.

Just like a drug conspiracy case, this is an excellent opportunity for the FBI and other federal agencies to start developing informants, calling people into the grand jury and making deals in concert with the various US Attorney's offices around the country in an effort to work their way "up the ladder" to the top levels of ACORN. Title III operations (wiretaps) should also be utilized. If not, again, someone should have to answer why.

Ultimately, this conspiracy investigation has to be carried up into the political arena. It is obvious that some, if not many Democratic politicians have been compromised by ACORN. I have little doubt that several ACORN officials, if forced, could incriminate some verrrry high-level politicians.

For that very reason, I am not optimistic that a full investigation will be carried out by Eric Holder's Justice Department, nor by Tim Geithner's Treasury Department. Keep in mind the financial scandals surrounding the Clinton Administration when figures like Charlie Trie, Johnny Chung and John Huang were allowed to quietly plead guilty, pay fines, do community service-and not name their higher ups in the political realm-which would have led straight to the White House (Oval Office).

For that reason, this is a case for a truly non-partisan special prosecutor since it has clear political connections at high levels. This is not a case where justice would be served by the prosecution of some low-level ACORN employees who were caught on tape.

If these things are not done, then we will have to conclude that our top law enforcement agencies have been compromised by politics. I have no doubt that the professional investigators in these agencies are willing and eager to investigate this scandal to the fullest. The question is whether their leaders at the cabinet level have the same mindset.

Obama to Extend Key Provisions of the Patriot Act

It is fitting to talk about this subject on a day like today...Constitution Day!

I have been a opponent of the Patriot Act for sometime now, and it was assumed by a lot of people that voted for Obama that he was as well. However, that seems to be further from reality because he has come out in support of key provisions that trample on our civil liberties.

From the Campaign for Liberty:

WASHINGTON – The Obama administration supports extending three key provisions of the Patriot Act that are due to expire at the end of the year, the Justice Department told Congress in a letter made public Tuesday.

Lawmakers and civil rights groups had been pressing the Democratic administration to say whether it wants to preserve the post-Sept. 11 law's authority to access business records, as well as monitor so-called "lone wolf" terrorists and conduct roving wiretaps.

The provision on business records was long criticized by rights groups as giving the government access to citizens' library records, and a coalition of liberal and conservative groups complained that the Patriot Act gives the government too much authority to snoop into Americans' private lives.

This is now the continuation of the police state to control our lives. The Patriot Act is the most invasive law that the Congress has ever passed. It was rushed through Congress after the attacks on 9/11, and is still not challenged by people in power. There are a handful of Congressmen that have opposed it from the beginning; one of them being Ron Paul.

I am reminded of a quote from Ayn Rand that highlights this type of police state and the rights we have and will have:

We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force. --Ayn Rand

An Encouraging Speech by Kevin Jackson of The Black Sphere

By A.M. Novoa

Being called a racist the last couple of days because I don’t agree with the Presidents political agenda has been a discouraging experience. The vast majority of Americans that have been out spoken about the “progressive” agenda of this administration are concerned about their jobs, their children’s futures, future of our healthcare system and the future of this country. The color of someone’s skin is the last thing most people are worried about. No one is blind to the fact that racism exists, but that is not what the Tea Parties were about at all. The state run fringe media has been “spinning” lies about hard working, every day Americans in attempt to silence any opposition. While I don’t think it is going to work, I think many people that get their news from statist media are buying into the lying propaganda. This is unfortunate and tragic. In the end, if the agenda of the far left is accomplished, they will suffer along with all of us.

Kevin Jackson is the intelligent and insightful author of the book The Big Black Lie. In his book he details and exposes widely overlooked history of Democratic racism past and present, as well as the culture of victimology that is promoted by the far left. Kevin Jackson spoke at the Austin Heart of Texas Rally on September 5th. To learn more about Kevin Jackson go to http://theblacksphere.net/
