Ron Paul's Audit the Fed Bill Gutted by Democratic Controlled Congress

Not like this would have been a surprise, but with over 300 co-sponsors we thought it might go through un-touched:

Oct. 30 (Bloomberg) -- Representative Ron Paul, the Texas Republican who has called for an end to the Federal Reserve, said legislation he introduced to audit monetary policy has been “gutted” while moving toward a possible vote in the Democratic-controlled House.

The bill, with 308 co-sponsors, has been stripped of provisions that would remove Fed exemptions from audits of transactions with foreign central banks, monetary policy deliberations, transactions made under the direction of the Federal Open Market Committee and communications between the Board, the reserve banks and staff, Paul said today.

“There’s nothing left, it’s been gutted,” he said in a telephone interview. “This is not a partisan issue. People all over the country want to know what the Fed is up to, and this legislation was supposed to help them do that.”
It is time to get on the phone with everyone in Washington...Congressman and Senators and demand action against the illegal Federal Reserve.  Call the Capitol Switchboard 202-224-3121 and speak with everyone you can!

It is time for R3VOLUTION!!

Ron Paul's Response to Michael Moore

By A.M. Novoa

Michael Moore is an individual with a loud, passionate voice for the left. He gets a lot of attention for his anti-capitalistic beliefs. Mr. Moore produces films to spread his brand of politics and many people innocently and mistakenly think the man knows what he is talking about. Mr. Moore does not see the whole picture. We are very much a culture that forms opinions based on what we see in Hollywood movies and in the mainstream media which has not worked well in our favor. Unfortunately, Mr. Moore is a bit off in his summations and frequently refuses to objectively examine all the facts and evidence especially those facts that might challenge his leftist agenda. As a result, many Americans are being led astray and do not have all the facts about the issues and challenges we are facing in our country.

Dr. Ron Paul, is a congressman, physician and champion for our constitution that does know what he is talking about and comes from a background of experience and wisdom. Michael Moore could learn a thing or two from Dr. Paul. I hope he chooses to listen. As Mr. Moore claims to seek to educate the people, perhaps he might himself become educated. One can hope.

Soros and The New World Order

By A.M. Novoa

During an interview with the Financial Times Billionaire, progressive and globalist George Soros explained how Americans should not resist the decline of the United States…. as the dollar fails, our living standards worsen and ultimately a new global currency is introduced. He further concludes that China should lead the New World Order.

He almost seemed slightly cheerful in the video when he stated that an orderly decline of the dollar was “desirable” and that the entire system needed to be reconstituted towards a global currency. According to Soros we are drag on the global economy because of the declining dollar.

This man is quite honestly spelling it all out for us! There has been this enormous elephant in the room and many have been ignoring it. Ignorance will be costly. George Soros is just one of the puppet masters involved in fundamentally changing America and not for the better I might add.

He isn’t an exciting guy to listen to but if you pay close attention you can learn what he and others like him have planned for our country.

Speculation Rises Over a Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Bid

Congressman Ron Paul launched what was deemed a grass roots revolution in 2008 for the Presidency. He brought people into the process that would have otherwise stayed at and sat on their sofa. It now appears that speculation is beginning to brew over a potential 2012 run for the Presidency by Congressman Paul.

The Congressman has lined up speaking engagements in Iowa and South Carolina, which are two key states in the nominating process. CNN and the L.A. Times are also reporting on this speculation:

L.A. Times:  Tuesday it was announced that Texas Republican Ron Paul, who wowed the Libertarian crowd during the 2008 election with his call for limited government, is set to deliver an address at the University of South Carolina on Nov. 9 about the “future of individual liberty and the importance of the U.S. Constitution.”

As if that were not enough, the following week he's scheduled to speak in Iowa, that pivotal early caucus state, with stops in Ames and Des Moines.

By this morning speculation was rife that South Carolina, which holds one of the early primaries in the presidential calendar, could be the launching pad for a new Ron Paul bid.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Will Ron Paul give it another go in 2012?
The Texas congressman and hero of limited government advocates will visit the key early primary state of South Carolina on Nov. 9 to deliver a speech "on the future of individual liberty and the importance of the U.S. Constitution" at the University of South Carolina, student groups said Tuesday. The announcement comes a week after Paul scheduled a visit to Iowa on Nov. 13 to speak to students at Iowa State University.
Lets just say that this website is on the wagon for a Ron Paul 2012 bid, and will do everything we can to get him elected to the White House.

Heck...my car is already sporting the sticker!

This country is ready for the Ron Paul Revolution and it desperately needs the ideas that is brings about to fix the problems we face.

Needless to say, it will be a great debate to watch, between Paul and Obama. The President doesn't know what might be coming for him...

NSA Building Super Data Storage Centers to Keep Track of the American People

After the attacks on 9/11, the United States government started keeping track of Americans phone call and internet habits. (This was reported in the New York Times back in April.)

It now appears the the National Security Agency, that is charged with monitoring these activities, is building a new type of super-center to store this data indefinitely:

The National Security Agency is building huge new storage facilities to store the unconstitutionally gained data on the American people's telephone calls and Internet traffic permanently, including new buildings in suburban Salt Lake City, Utah, and San Antonio, Texas.

The NSA has been keeping permanent records of all American's telephone call habits and Internet traffic since shortly after September 11, 2001, according to major news reports, without the constitutionally required warrants from a court.
This is all being allowed under the Patriot Act that was passed in the dark of night under the guise of protecting the American people from "terrorists." Our liberties are at stake with government programs like this and the activities of said government.

It is time to spark a revolution of ideas to roll back the infringement on our freedom's and take back the god given rights that are bestowed upon free people.

Barack Obama Most Powerful Writer Since Julius Caesar?

Well, according to the Rocco Landesman chairman of the National Endowment of the Arts, Barack Obama is quite the writer. In a speech he gave last week to the 2009 Grantmakers in the Arts Conference, he had this to say about our President:

This is the first president that actually writes his own books since Teddy Roosevelt and arguably the first to write them really well since Lincoln. If you accept the premise, and I do, that the United States is the most powerful country in the world, then Barack Obama is the most powerful writer since Julius Caesar. That has to be good for American artists.

All I can say is wow! This guy really has his head stuck up the President's butt.

If he really thinks that Obama wrote all of his books, he is sadly mistaken, and should do his research. It has been widely reported on the mainstream news that Obama had shadow writers in the dark.

Also, if this guy really thinks that Obama is the most powerful writer since Caesar, than we are all doomed. He heavily centralized the bureaucracy of the Republic and was eventually proclaimed "dictator in perpetuity."

So here is hoping for that....

Neocon Trys to Challenge Ron Paul in Texas

Tim Graney of Katy, Texas, has announced a bid to unseat Ron Paul in the 14th congressional district of Texas.  Graney is a neocon that believes the United States should be policing the world and sinking us deeper into more endless wars.

Ron Paul is currently the only defender of the Constitution in Congress and has a prove record as such. The Republican Party and the neocon's that run the party are scared of Ron Paul and his ideas because they actually represent smaller government. The Republican Party supports big government and endless wars, so somebody like Ron Paul stands in their way, and us followers of Ron Paul prove to be a force to be reckoned with.

Graney says, “I am a fiscal conservative, but I do not support Ron Paul’s weak foreign policy views, nor do I support his do whatever you want ultra-Libertarian views that conflict with our American values.”

That statement represents the neocon position and the position of the Republican Party. They believe that government should be there to control our lives when it comes to moral grounds. They say they are for less government, but when it comes to our privacy, they defend the interjection of governmental control. Also, Ron Paul is not a ultra-Libertarian, but rather a mainstream Libertarian that supports Liberty and the free market.

The other theory for this challenge to Ron Paul's seat is that Graney is being financed by powerheads from the Federal Reserve because of Congressman Paul's bill to Audit the Fed, and his stern opposition to the presence of the central bank. This has not been proven yet, but we will keep an eye on that story if it develops.

Needless to say, Ron Paul is what this country needs and stands for. The Republican Party can try all they want to get rid of him, so they can go on with their agenda of big government and endless wars. Ron Paul is here to stay, and his revolution will be here long after he is gone.

U.S. Official Resigns Over Afghan War: no longer knows why his nation is fighting

This nation has been fighting in Afghanistan for 8 years now, and we are still in the midst of battle with Taliban insurgents, but why? This war was won a long time ago, but we continued to fight and now we are facing an even bigger obstacle.

However, it now appears that U.S. Officials that have dealings with the war are resigning over our policies in this region of the world, and for good reason.

From the Washington Post:

A former Marine Corps captain with combat experience in Iraq, Hoh had also served in uniform at the Pentagon, and as a civilian in Iraq and at the State Department. By July, he was the senior U.S. civilian in Zabul province, a Taliban hotbed.

But last month, in a move that has sent ripples all the way to the White House, Hoh, 36, became the first U.S. official known to resign in protest over the Afghan war, which he had come to believe simply fueled the insurgency.

"I have lost understanding of and confidence in the strategic purposes of the United States' presence in Afghanistan," he wrote Sept. 10 in a four-page letter to the department's head of personnel. "I have doubts and reservations about our current strategy and planned future strategy, but my resignation is based not upon how we are pursuing this war, but why and to what end."

The reaction to Hoh's letter was immediate. Senior U.S. officials, concerned that they would lose an outstanding officer and perhaps gain a prominent critic, appealed to him to stay.

This raises a big question...why are we still there? It is time to come home and stop policing the world.

First, war should have been declared in Afghanistan, but it never was. Secondly, we are causing even more problems by staying over there, and when our President is hesitating on whether he should give the troops what they need, it is probably time to just come home. The war is won...it is over, and we are just pouring fuel on the fire.

Gingrich Calls Doug Hoffman Supporters "Misinformed"

If you are not aware, there is a special election being held for the seat in New York's 23rd Congressional District. The candidates are a Democrat, a very liberal Republican, and Conservative Doug Hoffman.

As always, the top Republicans in this country sell out their values for the sake of winning elections, and this is what Newt Gingrich has done. Big names like Gingrich have endorsed the liberal Republican over conservative Doug Hoffman, while people like Sarah Palin, Dick Armey, and Tim Pawlenty have endorsed Doug Hoffman.

In this video, Newt Gingrich gives the typical Republican response to everything, which is winning an election to take back the House. He doesn't give a crap about principle, because he abandoned that a long time ago:

The "leaders" of the Republican Party will never learn and Gingrich is a sell out.

Time to Ctrl-Alt-Del the Federal Government?

by: Roger Gay

Lord Christopher Monckton has issued a dire warning about a proposed international agreement on climate change, which is supported by Barack Obama and many Democrats along with some Republicans in Congress. The treaty will be the subject of the Copenhagen Climate Summit in December.

He notes that international treaties take precedence over domestic application of the Constitutional. The climate agreement aims to create broad politically malleable mandates to be imposed on industry and individuals, managed from the top by an unelected world government. It would result in unlimited undemocratic government power, much of which will be in the hands of foreigners, with no mechanism to impose restraint against intrusion of any kind – thus, eliminating entirely the nation defined by the Constitution and the American way of life.

I'm not the first to ask. What happens when the employees put in charge of government operations rebel and refuse to play by the rules? It is more than our reasonable expectation that the Constitution remains in force, that the federal government operates within limits, and that our sovereignty remains intact. Every office holder has sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution as a condition for holding office. We have a contract and natural rights should they choose to violate it.

We have not yet effectively demanded those rights. It seems at times that we have become convinced that in practice the United States operates as a “pure democracy” in which the will of the majority in Congress cannot be held in check. In our system, merely being elected or having a party majority does not in any sense offer a mandate for unconstitutional dealings. We have been given that impression because, regardless of which party is in control, the other party desires a return to power over all else. The only solution they offer is to vote for them in the next election. Once elected, they follow the same general course of increasing their own power. Clearly, the element of democracy that is in our system – represented in fact by a “two-party system”– has failed.

Even if elections provided such a powerful mandate – and they do not – the choices voters made were the result of blatant fraud.

Over the past three decades, party bosses have operated in secret to engineer a dramatic restructuring of government and a complete transformation of its relationship with the people. It was not done formally as prescribed by the Constitution. Party politicians controlling the national purse used public funding to, in effect, purchase “states' rights” from state party politicians. State party politicians take the money in part, as a surreptitious increase in state taxes (collected in the form of federal taxes). Party judges, who have also received money in connection with these transactions, have transformed the laws so that they fit rules of federal jurisdiction.

Federal government does not operate by the same rules and relationships as state governments. The tasks assigned to the federal government by the Constitution require broad political discretion, while those left “to the states and to the people” are subject to more stringent checks and balances designed to protect liberty. The greatest cost of unconstitutional federalism is civil rights. The best known example is the federalization of marriage and family law, which resulted in the legal destruction of marriage and family as fundamentally private institutions in the eyes of corrupted law. Marriage and family are now  defined as components of government programs, completely under arbitrary political control.

Did you learn that from msnbc? No. CBS? No. Time, Newsweek, New York Times, … It is obvious that the political class has used the established communications networks for deception. And we continue to see it now. Were we told openly about the decades long effort to establish a One World Government? No – politicians continuously denied it. We also know that there is no climate catastrophe requiring political action. Yet when voting, many people were convinced that there was. The so-called “mainstream media” maintained the hoax in support of party politics. The people were deceived. The politicians in power simply ignore criticism and continue to lie.

I respect Lord Monckton's understanding of the Constitution when he says; “If that treaty is signed, your constitution says that it takes precedence over your constitution, and you can't resile from that treaty unless you get the agreement from all the other states' parties.” However, I must assert that the people of the United States are in a position to declare any such agreement null and void. Its purpose is deception, to achieve goals that are not within the Constitutionally authorized powers of government. The People do not agreed to cede national sovereignty. The effect of such an agreement would be a coup – an act of war.

Beyond that, it is the American struggle to terminate the public employees who have so despicably violated their contract to that end; and to re-establish a proper relationship between government and the people.

Fox News is conservative-So What?

by gary fouse
fousesquawk

With all the uproar over the White House attacks on Fox News, I thought I would consider the oft-repeated charge that Fox is to the right and not really "Fair and Balanced". I have thought a lot about Fox's "fair and balanced" claim, and to be honest, I think it is not quite accurate. In my mind, Fox definitely leans to the right, and most of the comment you hear on Fox News is conservative. Fair and balanced? It depends on your point of view.

First, let's not forget that Fox's CEO is Roger Ailes, a conservative. One of their top anchors, Britt Hume, is conservative. Then there are Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck (the latter recently having moved over from CNN). Both are unabashedly conservative and critics of President Obama. There is no pretense of straight reporting here. Theirs are commentary shows. Bill O'Reiily, controversial in his own right, defines himself as an independent "traditionalist", who can come down for or against anybody. There is no question, however, that he is down on the far-left.

Hannity's show, in my opinion, was better when he had Alan Colmes there to debate with him. He still does manage to fit in a liberal or two and engage in healthy debate with them.

In the financial area, which I don't follow because I don't understand it very well Fox does seem to have a bevy of critics of the Obama Administration's fiscal policies.

Fox does, however, have several liberal, Democratic voices including Colmes, who makes regular guest appearances. One could hardly call Geraldo Rivera, Juan Williams, Bob Beckel or Greta van Susteren right wingers.

But let me concede here that Fox has a decidedly conservative bent.

So what?

It is the only news network that doesn't lean solidly to the liberal, Democratic side. Against Fox, you have arraigned ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC. The latter, with characters like Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow and Ed Schultz don't even bother to engage in debate with opposing voices. Chris Matthews has all but admitted that he wants to have Obama's baby. But let us play tit for tat and use Hannity and Beck to cancel out Maddow and Olbermann. My question remains; why is Fox considered such a threat by the left? Is it because Fox's ratings are way higher than CNN and MSNBC combined? Is that why Olbermann refers to Fox on air as "Fixed News" and regularly includes Bill O'Reilly in his nightly "Worst Persons" award?

And don't forget that in addition to all the liberal news networks, Fox is under attack by other forms of media. Most of the major newspapers are liberal, and in the case of papers like the New York Times and LA Times, not even making a pretense of being fair and balanced. Then there is Hollywood, whose vapid, empty-headed "stars" fall all over themselves to tell us common folks how to live (the liberal way).

Have I mentioned the universities? Yes, actually, about a thousand times.

It all comes down to this, in my view. Why do the liberals have a problem with conservative folks having their one news outlet-(along with talk radio-open to all but dominated by conservatives)? It's bad enough that the various news outlets feel compelled to attack a rival outlet. It's a hundred times worse when you have the all-powerful White House trying to isolate and discredit a major news outlet because it is virtually the only outlet that is offering any criticism of an administration that does not tolerate criticism. Can you imagine the White House having a web page that has a link to "Read more Fox lies"? It is downright Nixonian (or Nixonesque, if you prefer).

I want you liberals out there-especially the ones who were so upset about George W Bush "shredding the Constitution" and wiretapping suspected terrorists, as well as all that water boarding stuff-to ask yourselves this question. With the blatant attacks on Fox News by the White House and the looming Fairness Doctrine that would put an end to talk radio altogether, is this what you want to see-the elimination of all media outlets that criticize the current administration? Or is that actually part of the entire "progressive" agenda?

Whatever the Bush Administration did that upset you "rights" advocates was done to prevent future 9-11s and save lives. Can anyone honestly claim that this administration is going after its opponents to save lives? Or is it to protect their power?

But I digress. I say let Fox be Fox, and let MSNBC be MSNBC. I have slammed the latter on numerous occasions, but I would never support a conservative administration trying to destroy it. There is a reason Fox's ratings are so high-and rising higher. Somebody in the news media has to be there to criticize and keep this administration honest.

Libertarian Party Founder David Nolan Calls Sarah Palin A Shill, Glenn Beck A Wanna-Be Libertarian

The title of the post says it all...and I would have to agree with David Nolan to an extent.

Sarah Palin is being groomed by the national Republicans into something that will just be the same that every other Republican star turns out to be. She is not a true libertarian, or true conservative (which are the same). She is another big government advocate that requested money from the federal government at every turn as governor of Alaska.

Also, while I like Glenn Beck and can see his transformation to libertarianism, he is currently a wanna-be. He might have took Bush to task on certain issues, but he stilled holds a lot of neo-con positions, like our involvement overseas.

It is time to look hard for a leader that will let the American people live their lives as they chose. This is going to be hard, but don't buy into the notion that the Republican Party chooses that leader for you.

President Obama Declares National Emergency Over Swine Flu Pandemic, but Why?

Is this the start of martial law in America? President Obama has declared a national emergency over the swine flu pandemic, but the question is why? So far, the amount of people that get sick and die from the regular flu every year is far greater than those that have been infected with the swine flu.

Also, the CDC has reported that the swine flu infections have already peaked, but for some reason we are in a state of emergency?

Declaring a national emergency immediately gives federal authorities dangerous new powers that can now be enforced at gunpoint, including:

• The power to force mandatory swine flu vaccinations on the entire population.
• The power to arrest, quarantine or "involuntarily transport" anyone who refuses a swine flu vaccination.
• The power to quarantine an entire city and halt all travel in or out of that city.
• The power to enter any home or office without a search warrant and order the destruction of any belongings or structures deemed to be a threat to public health.
• The effective nullification of the Bill of Rights. Your right to due process, to being safe from government search and seizure, and to remain silent to avoid self-incrimination are all null and void under a Presidential declaration of a national emergency.

So this is what it has come too...in an attempt to control it's people the government makes up a pandemic in order to bring about that control.

People are smart enough not to take the vaccine for this disease, and even right now the President's daughters have not taken the vaccine that he and his administration apparently supports.

The Political and Economic Spectrum Explained

By A.M. Novoa

How did we get here? I think many people are scratching theirs heads and asking that very same question. There has been a period of apathy in America for a very long time. Many of us, in the past, have been content to live our lives not paying a whole lot of attention to politics or current events in our world. The number of people that didn’t vote in previous elections in the last thirty years is staggering.

Children, as far as I know, are not being taught about the political and economic spectrum in schools. If you are a teacher and you are teaching this, then I applaud you. Keep up the good work. However, I think most Americans have lost touch with what had made this country great and how it got to be that way in the first place.

Our founding fathers didn’t just throw our structure of government together with an absence of any fore thought. They had experienced tyrannical monarchies and saw the destructive nature and results of such governments. Freedom from tyranny is the reason that many, many people have crossed oceans and risked their lives to make the United States of America their home.

In the three videos below political and economic spectrum is explained. I encourage you to watch it and share it with anyone who has the desire to gain more of an understanding about what is happening to our country.

Facebook Blocks Links to Fall of the Republic Movie

First off, if you haven't watched Alex Jones new film "Fall of the Republic" yet, click this link.

Secondly, Facebook is apparently blocking links to the movie on the popular social networking site.

From Infowars.com:

The social networking giant Facebook.com has labeled Alex Jones’ new documentary film Fall Of The Republic to be “abusive” and is blocking some links to the film from its website, preventing the movie from spreading virally like the Obama Deception, which received tens of millions of viewers despite a Facebook policy to block it too.

A You Tube video illustrates that when a Facebook user attempts to ’share’ a link to the video, that is post it as a status update on their Facebook page, they get a message telling them the function has been blocked because the video is “abusive”.
So this is what our 1st Amendment has come to? Censoring anything that might pose a hard question for our government.

It is known that facebook has been pro-Obama since his election and has silenced opposition to the President. When the Obama Deception was released, some users had their accounts deleted for posting the video.

Here is video evidence of what is currently going on with Fall of the Republic:

Beneath the Office

By A.M. Novoa

The all out snobbery and attacks on Fox news are even disturbing moderate democrats these days.

Politico reported:
A White House effort to undermine conservative critics is generating a backlash on Capitol Hill — and not just from Republicans.
"It’s a mistake," said Rep. Jason Altmire, a moderate Democrat
from western Pennsylvania. "I think it’s beneath the White House to get into a tit for tat with news organizations."

It seems to me that there are bigger problems to deal with and Mr. Altmire is right, it is beneath the office. Some could speculate that it might be an attempt to shift the focus off of what is very serious and critical for our country right now. Who knows?

Finally we have a comedian and television host that has some courage and isn’t intimidated by the big, bad White House. Jay Leno put together this sketch on the administration’s attacks on the Fox news organization. A little common sense, fearlessness and humor is quite refreshing.
Where have you guys been?

Using our Kids

By A.M. Novoa

As many parents have weighed the options, done their research and made an independent and informed decision not to vaccinate their children with the H1N1 or Swine flu vaccine the government has stepped up their campaign to promote the shot. The following video is an appeal to your kids to get vaccinated. It oversteps a parent’s right to make informed and very personal choices for their own children.

According to a press release, “Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Education Secretary Arne Duncan, and Lisa Henson, CEO of the Jim Henson Company, will join Washington-area school children for a screening of the new “Sid the Science Kid” special episode on the flu at the U.S. Department of Education Auditorium.”

Well the government has a problem on it's hands. It has already purchased 300 million doses of the vaccine and sales are not what they'd hoped. So what do they do? They make a commercial for your kids and hope, just like the sugary cereal makers, that they can get in the heads of your children and sell you the vaccine. Brilliant marketing technique.

You may believe that the shot is safe and maybe you have gotten it. Perhaps your children have taken it? Regardless, should people have a choice? When does manipulative and coercive propaganda go too far? When it affects you? We need to be concerned when anyone’s freedoms are threatened, whether we agree with their choices or not, because next time it might be a freedom we hold dear that is at stake.

Dems To Increase National Debt Limit in Defense Spending Bill

Under the cover of a defense spending bill, the Senate Democrats will add a provision to increase the debt ceiling to $13 Trillion. They are trying to hide the fact that both parties have increased our financial burden as a country.

From the Politico:

The Senate must soon increase the national debt limit to above $13 trillion — and Democrats are looking for political cover.

Knowing they will face unyielding GOP attacks for voting to increase the eye-popping debt, Democrats are considering attaching a debt increase provision to a must-pass bill, possibly the Defense Department spending bill, according to Democratic and Republican sources.

Adding it to the defense bill would allow Democrats to argue that they voted for the measure to help troops in harm’s way — and downplay that their vote also expanded the limit for how much money the country can borrow.

So, instead of actually fixing the problem of an increasing national debt, our government will just raise the ceiling to a higher number. They couldn't care less because they are just a bunch of old politicians that will probably be dead in the next few years.

This is the hope and change that the American people voted for? They can do this so they can finance their trillion dollar deficits and pet projects like health care that strip any liberty the American people have left.

When is the R3VOLUTION!

Who was Mao Zedong?

By A.M. Novoa

Mao Zedong or Mao Tse-Tung (26 December 1893 – 9 September 1976) was a Chinese revolutionary, political theorist, Communist leader and Poet. He was raised in a peasant family in the village of Shaoshan, Hunan province. His father was very strict and Mao frequently rebellious. In 1911 Mao moved to Changsha, where he served in the army in the 1911 revolution that overthrew the Qing dynasty. During that time Mao studied Western philosophy. He was influenced by progressive newspapers and by journals such as New Youth, founded by revolutionary leader Chen Duxiu. In 1918 he graduated from the Hunan Teachers College in Changsha. He was very critical of traditional values and of the values of Confucianism. In 1925 Mao organized peasant unions in his hometown of Shaoshan. He used his “peasant” status to gain popularity with poor peasants and be named director of both the Chinese Communist Party and Kuomintang (KMT) Party Peasant Commissions in 1926. From 1931 to 1934, Mao helped establish the Soviet Republic of China and was elected Chairman of this small republic in the mountainous areas in Jiangxi. The People's Republic of China was established on October 1, 1949.

Mao was the leader of the People’s Republic of China until his death in 1976. His unique brand of communism is known as Maoism or Mao Zedong Thought. Some give credit to Mao for establishing the communist party in China when it was actually founded and subsidized by the Soviet Union through its agent Grigori Voitinsky in Shanghai in 1920. Mao's socio-political programs, such as the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution, are responsible for severe famine and damage to the culture, society and economy of China. Mao's policies and political purges from 1949-1975 are believed to have caused the deaths of between 40 to 60 million people. Some estimates are as high as 77 million.

Terry Hulsey dispels some of the popular myths regarding Chairman Mao in this article on Lew Rockwell’s web page http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig6/husley5.html

Below is part 1 of a 5 part documentry done on Mao Zedong. The entire documentry is worth watching to get an idea of of the mindset and politics of the man. If this man is a "hero" to modern progressives one might assume that they also ascribe to his philosophies, unless of course they have not done their homework and do not really know about the atrocities committed by the late Chairman and his regime.

House Majority Leader Says Constitution Gives Congress Power to Force Americans to Have Health Insurance

Steny Hoyer, the House Majority Leaders, says the general welfare clause of the United States Constitution gives Congress the power to force Americans to buy into a health insurance plan.  He also added that they have broad powers to force Americans to purchase other things that Congress deem necessary to promote the general welfare.

From CNS News:

Hoyer, speaking to reporters at his weekly press briefing on Tuesday, was asked by CNSNews.com where in the Constitution was Congress granted the power to mandate that a person must by a health insurance policy. Hoyer said that, in providing for the general welfare, Congress had “broad authority.”

“Well, in promoting the general welfare the Constitution obviously gives broad authority to Congress to effect that end,” Hoyer said. “The end that we’re trying to effect is to make health care affordable, so I think clearly this is within our constitutional responsibility.”
First off that is a very broad definition of the general welfare clause. Secondly, the government can't force Americans into doing anything that has to do with their individual choices.

Promoting the General Welfare means just that...promote. It doesn't mean provide, it doesn't mean force, it means the government can say "it's a good idea for you to get health insurance" but they can't force you into doing something you don't want.

This goes along the line of governmental funding of health care and other evasive programs. The federal government is not constitutionally mandated to provide for these programs. They can only promote the ideas.

CIA To Monitor Internet Chatter For Anti-Government Sentiment

This is like a scene out of the movie V for Vendetta...U.S. spy agencies have bought stakes in companies that are known for keeping data on social media.

From Wired News:

America’s spy agencies want to read your blog posts, keep track of your Twitter updates — even check out your book reviews on Amazon.

In-Q-Tel, the investment arm of the CIA and the wider intelligence community, is putting cash into Visible Technologies, a software firm that specializes in monitoring social media. It’s part of a larger movement within the spy services to get better at using ”open source intelligence” — information that’s publicly available, but often hidden in the flood of TV shows, newspaper articles, blog posts, online videos and radio reports generated every day.

Are they really this scared of the American people. The Jefferson quote means more right now than ever "When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty.--Thomas Jefferson"

Politico Blames Matt Drudge for Collapsing Dollar

There can be many reasons for the declining power of the United States dollar including the policies of the Bush and Obama Administration for running up record deficits, but the Politico is suggesting another reason:

On Tuesday, Matt Drudge ran a headline about the weakening U.S. dollar on his website, Drudgereport.com. In and of itself, that would be unremarkable, except that it was the 18th time Drudge had posted a link to a story about the weak dollar this month.

And October was only 20 days old.

Clearly, Matt Drudge has developed a fascination with the declining U.S. dollar.

“He’s fixated on it,” said Tom Rosenstiel, director of the Pew Research Center’s Project for Excellence in Journalism. “There’s no question that Drudge can alter what people are paying attention to.”

Let's just ignore the fact that the dollar has been in decline since the creation of the Federal Reserve System and that reckless spending by every single administration since then might have actually caused this crisis we are currently experiencing.

The power of the dollar doesn't rest in the hands of Matt Drudge or websites like this. The power of the dollar should be determined in the free market, but that hasn't happened since 1913.

Just look at this inflation calculator and you will see what I am talking about:

Natural Food Fight: Whole Foods and Health Care

Since we were one of the first sites to report on the Whole Foods Boycott in response to CEO John Mackey's op-ed in the Wall Street Journal, we have been keeping up with the news on the company and their CEO.

Last week we showed you an interview that Reason T.V. conducted with Mackey, and this week there is an extention video from Reason that actually interviews employee's of Whole Foods and how satisfied they are with their health benefits:

John Mackey has the right idea because he believes in the individual. He gives his employees the right to manage their own health benefits, and keeps the bureaucracy out of their decisions. This is exactly how health care should be in this country. Not ran by the government, but free of the government.

White House Assault on Fox News

We have all heard the story of the past few days that have White House officials coming out saying Fox News isn't really media. While I don't agree with everything I see on Fox, I can say it is as credible as media, as MSNBC, or CNN, or any other big media company.

From the Politico:

A White House attempt to delegitimize Fox News – which in past times would have drawn howls of censorship from the press corps – has instead been greeted by a collective shrug.

That’s true even though the motivations of the White House are clear: Fire up a liberal base disillusioned with Obama by attacking the hated Fox. Try to keep a critical news outlet off-balance. Raise doubts about future Fox stories.
The White House claims that it wants the news to be reported fairly, but a video surfaced yesterday that shows the Obama Campaign press person explaining how they manipulated the news coming out of the campaign. While all campaigns do this, it speaks to what they are doing now.

Here is that video for you to view:

This is a free country and anyone has a right to disagree with the President. It doesn't matter if it is me on this blog, or Fox News. It goes both ways with both parties, and all that has to make you realize is research things for yourself and don't believe everything you hear on television.

U.S. Military Creates Remote Control Beetles to Bug Conversations

If it's not enough that our government has the patriot act to spy on us and destroy our liberties, they have now created a remote control beetle to spy on conversations.

From the Daily Mail:

Spies may soon be bugging conversations using actual insects, thanks to research funded by the US military.

The US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has spent years developing a whole host of cyborg critters, in the hopes of creating the ultimate 'fly on the wall'.

Now a team of researchers led by Hirotaka Sato have created cyborg beetles which are guided wirelessly via a laptop.

They say they will only use this device for "terrorists" but that definition is getting wider with every administration that walks into the White House.

Federal Government to Issue New Marijuana Policy

It is very seldom that I would agree with the Obama Administration, but when they do something right, I will give them the credit.

The federal government will issue a new marijuana policy that will stop raids on patients using medical marijuana, and the people who distribute the pot.

From the AP:

WASHINGTON (AP) - Federal drug agents won't pursue pot-smoking patients or their sanctioned suppliers in states that allow medical marijuana, under new legal guidelines to be issued Monday by the Obama administration.

Two Justice Department officials described the new policy to The Associated Press, saying prosecutors will be told it is not a good use of their time to arrest people who use or provide medical marijuana in strict compliance with state law.

The guidelines to be issued by the department do, however, make it clear that agents will go after people whose marijuana distribution goes beyond what is permitted under state law or use medical marijuana as a cover for other crimes, the officials said.
What typical conservatives need to realize is that the government has no right to tell you how to live your life. While Marijuana should be legal, this is a big step in the right direction. No government has a right to tell you what to put into your body, either for pleasure, or for medical purposes.

We are all individuals and have a right to our bodies (or property).  While President Obama is doing everything he can to destroy individual power on all levels, at least this is one area that I can agree with him, and let people live their lives as they seem fit.

What Obama Reads

In this photo from 2008 President Obama is seeing reading a book by Fareed Zakaria, The Post-American World, which argues that a new world order is emerging lead by China and India.

A Wikipedia write-up states, “Criticism of the book focused on certain assertions made by Zakaria, as well as the focus of the book mirroring back a ruling narrative to meet the needs of the global elite."

It has been easy to document the leaders of the world discussing a New World Order, and this photo just adds to the rumors. Barack Obama is a puppet for the global elite and like other Presidents, is adding more and more to the possibility of a global order.

Alex Jones, a leading advocate against the New World Order, had this to say about Zakaria:

In addition to working as the editor of Newsweek International, Zakaria is a member of the Aspen Strategy Group, where he hangs out with insiders such as Brent Scowcroft, CFR president Richard Haass, and CFR member and former Clinton college roomate Strobe Talbott. Zakaria is a Bilderberg attendee, a senior staff member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and is a member of the Trilateral Commission. He was the editor of the CFR’s house organ, Foreign Affairs.
Here is a video of Zakaria being confronted at a conference:

A Fashion Statement

By A.M. Novoa

The other day the Fox network, specifically The Glenn Beck Show, showed a video about Anita Dunn’s infatuation with the writings of Mao Tse Tsung , Chinese revolutionary, political theorist, mass murderer and Communist leader. Unbelievably, Ms. Dunn used the name of Mother Theresa in the same sentence.

At the time I felt that the little video wouldn’t be much of a wake up call for Americans considering Hollywood celebrities and other artists have for some time made a fashion statement out of wearing the faces of communist icons as clothing and jewelry. Che Guevara is a very popular one. People tend wear him in sign of protest and are probably quite unaware of his history and that of the Cuban people. Tragically, I don’t think most Americans are aware of who any of these individuals are. It seems there is a lot about history that isn’t being taught in school these days.

So I wondered, perhaps these privileged, extremely wealthy and famous individuals don’t realize the death toll and shear misery that these individuals were responsible for? I really hope that is the case. The other option would be that they approve of it. Regardless, the audacity of it unbelievable. This is particularly true for individuals that lived and suffered under those regimes.

Who was Saul Alinsky?

By A.M. Novoa

Saul Alinsky was born January 30, 1909 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of Russian Jewish immigrants. He died June 12, 1972 in Carmel, California. Mr. Alinsky was a well-known community organizer and writer. Saul Alinsky is well known for his book Rules for Radicals. Saul Alinsky’s writings were very influential in the lives of both Barack Obama and Hilary Rodham Clinton. Hilary Rodham knew Alinsky and he thought “highly of her.” In 1968 21year old Rodham did yearlong analysis of Alinsky's aggressive mobilizing tactics. 17 years later, after his death, Alinsky’s disciples hired Barack Obama a 23-year-old Columbia University graduate, to organize black residents on the South Side, while learning and applying Alinsky's philosophy of street-level democracy. Alinsky's tactics were based, not on Stalin's revolutionary violence, but on the Neo-Marxist strategies of Antonio Gramsci, an Italian Communist. Relying on gradualism, infiltration and the dialectic process rather than a bloody revolution, Gramsci's transformational Marxism was so subtle that few even noticed the deliberate changes.

In Alinsky’s book Rules for Radicals the opening dedication reads-

“Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history... the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer.”

Other revealing quotes from the book include-

"A Marxist begins with his prime truth that all evils are caused by the exploitation of the proletariat by the capitalists. From this he logically proceeds to the revolution to end capitalism, then into the third stage of reorganization into a new social order of the dictatorship of the proletariat, and finally the last stage -- the political paradise of communism." p.10

"An organizer working in and for an open society is in an ideological dilemma to begin with, he does not have a fixed truth -- truth to him is relative and changing; everything to him is relative and changing.... To the extent that he is free from the shackles of dogma, he can respond to the realities of the widely different situations...." pp.10-11

"Tactics are those conscious deliberate acts by which human beings live with each other and deal with the world around them. ... Here our concern is with the tactic of taking; how the Have-Nots can take power away from the Haves." p.126

Always remember the first rule of power tactics (pps.127-134):
1. "Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have."
2. "Never go outside the expertise of your people. When an action or tactic is outside the experience of the people, the result is confusion, fear and retreat.... [and] the collapse of communication.
3. "Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)
4. "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity."
5. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage."
6. "A good tactic is one your people enjoy."
7. "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time...."
8. "Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose."
9. "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself."
10. "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign."
11. "If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside... every positive has its negative."
12. "The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative."
13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and 'frozen.'...
"...any target can always say, 'Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?' When you 'freeze the target,' you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments.... Then, as you zero in and freeze your target and carry out your attack, all the 'others' come out of the woodwork very soon. They become visible by their support of the target...'
"One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other." (pps.127-134)

This is a very small sampling of Alinsky’s ideals and the ideals evidently embraced by some progressives. Some of the tactics that are being used to intimidate those who have expressed peaceful dissent or even concern about current policies and proposed policies are strangely similar to what is described in Alinsky’s book. If indeed the information in this book were being employed to silence American citizens, we would be wise to understand the rules, don’t you think?

Unmask the Fed

Rep. Alyan Grayson has started an effort to Unmask the Fed, and demand that Bernanke provide answers to the Senate before he be re-confirmed as chairman of the Fed.

Go to Unmask the Fed to sign the petition and demand answers.

Grayson wants access to the Bear Stearns rescue paperwork as well as the details of which financial institutions received $1.2 trillion in bailout money, how much each institution received, and what was promised in return.  He’s also seeking Fed documents that discuss the Bank of America/Merrill Lynch merger, transcripts of Open Market Meeting minutes, and the terms and conditions of Fed transactions not reflected in balance sheets from the past three years.

The Rise of the Police State

In the wake of the G-20 Summit in Pittsburgh, PA, the rise of the police state is upon us, and there is nothing stopping the assault on our liberties.

During the summit in Pittsburgh it looks like we saw a beta test for a militarized police state.

From the Pittsburgh Tribune Review:

Pittsburgh police say they will continue to benefit from the millions of dollars spent to prepare for the Group of 20 summit.

“We spent months getting ready for this and it was a lot of preparation, but we’ll see the dividends of that for a long time to come,” Public Safety Director Michael Huss said. “It was invaluable to us.”
This is what America has come to? Our police officers are suppose to be peace officers, not an extension of the military. These big cities are preparing for anything and everything that might come there way, and they are doing this at the expense of our liberty.

Some would say that the time's have changed, but we have this thing called the Constitution and the Bill of Rights that I hold dear to my heart. It is mine and your legal contract with the government. It restrains the government from infringing on our God given rights to life, liberty, and property.

The Department of Homeland Security is training out police officers to run the police state and there is currently nobody in Congress stopping them.  Nobody (except Ron Paul) that stands up for the American people, but rather they fund these outrageous ventures.

It is time for a peaceful Revolution to take back our rights!

Defense Funding Transferred to Pay for Ted Kennedy Institute

Another reason to bring our troops home has emerged and it has to do with money. President Obama, the war President, has committed to continuing the war in Iraq and expanding the war in Afghanistan. However he counterparts in Congress have other ideas for the Defense Department funding....use it to pay for an educational institute in honor of Ted Kennedy.

From the Washington Times:

Senators diverted $2.6 billion in funds in a defense spending bill to pet projects largely at the expense of accounts that pay for fuel, ammunition and training for U.S. troops, including those fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to an analysis.

Among the 778 such projects, known as earmarks, packed into the bill: $25 million for a new World War II museum at the University of New Orleans and $20 million to launch an educational institute named after the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat.

That is $2.6 Billion used for bullets and anything that might help the troops fight this imperialistic  war. It is time to bring them home, especially if they are going to be ignored by the U.S. Congress.

This is a complete disgrace! To pay for some Ted Kennedy project instead of being a responsible member of Congress? No wonder nobody trusts them anymore...

Peace Loving Progressive Chris Matthews

By A.M. Novoa

Chris Matthews who carries on and on about the scary, angry, racist, tea party attending soccer moms and retired people with oxygen tanks protesting healthcare reform and stimulus spending, shared his secret fantasy about blowing up Rush Limbaugh’s head. I have to really wonder if Mr. Matthews is either heavily medicated or a sociopath with some of the comments that proceed from that mouth of his. This is the same guy that got that cool feeling up his leg when he heard Barack Obama speak. Where are his handlers? Has he no filter? They really need to proofread this guy’s rants before they put him on the air.

In case you can’t make out every word from the video here is what he said -"You guys see Live and Let Die, the great Bond film with Yaphet Kotto as the bad guy, Mr. Big? In the end they jam a big CO2 pellet in his face and he blew up. I have to tell you, Rush Limbaugh is looking more and more like Mr. Big, and at some point somebody’s going to jam a CO2 pellet into his head and he’s going to explode like a giant blimp. That day may come. Not yet. But we’ll be there to watch. I think he’s Mr. Big, I think Yaphet Kotto. Are you watching, Rush?"

While media progressives, particularly blatantly left leaning MSNBC, insinuate that FOX News is not a "real" news network, the best they can do is Chris Matthews? He is their political expert? Say what you want about Glenn Beck, and please correct me if I am wrong, but I don’t ever remember him implying it would be very pleasing to him to watch someone’s head explode. I believe he has said things about his own head exploding which is another subject all together.

I am not defending FOX or Rush Limbaugh or really anyone in the media, believe me. I think they all slant their reporting to accomplish their own political interests, maybe some less than others. No one is completely objective anymore and the more I learn the more I wonder if anyone ever was. This, however, is disturbing. What is wrong with us if we think this is news or even entertainment?

Eric Holder Targets Rightwing Bloggers--Including this One!

There are rumors floating around that the Department of Justice has hired a group of ex-democratic bloggers to troll the internet for websites that are critical to President Obama and post comments that demand support for his policies.

I can say that I have seen some troll activity on this site from lefties, but I didn't think anything of the situation...until now!

The Muffled Oar first reported on this revelation:

The Muffled Oar has received a great number of tips from DOJ employees about activities taking place within the Department since Holder became Attorney General. The Muffled Oar will monitor, sort and report this information. The Muffled Oar welcomes other whistleblowers to report on any corruption or political motivation going on in the Department.

Regarding the DOJ Blog Squad, some other blogs have noted that DOJ appears to be visiting and monitoring their postings critical of Obama.
Then a website called the Hippo's Ass reported on the fact that the DOJ had visited their website:

Back in August I posted a few videos of Rep. John Dingell's Town Hall on Health Care. Over the next few days I wasn't surprised to see a few visits from House.gov and Senate.gov on my web site. As you can see, near the bottom of my blog is a counter that tracks visits to this site. I can't tell who visited, but I can see what I.P. address they were using.

Imagine my surprise that a few weeks later I see that someone from DOJ.gov logged onto my site.
So, I decided to check my site stats from a website I use to track activity to this site, and low and behold I found a visit from the United States Department of Justice.

They were on this site for almost 1 hour! I have proof of this if anyone questions me, and once I can figure out how to put a snap shot up on the website, I will prove that the DOJ appears to be trolling rightwing and libertarian websites. I will also keep looking to see if they come back and document that as well.

Here is one of the visits from the DOJ:

There are others, and I will get those up soon as well.

What the Death of Competition Means for our Society

By A.M. Novoa

Last week President Obama "won" the Nobel Peace Prize. The President has been in office less than a year and from what I understand he was nominated in February. What did he do to win this esteemed prize you might ask? I think many of us have been asking that question. Well the short answer to that question is….he showed up. That seems to be the way of the world anymore. You just show up and you get the trophy, blue ribbon, money or accolade you think you might be owed. To have to compete for anything might mean losing and we simply can not have that in a society where everyone needs to be equal right? Some warped force has been slowly and methodically introducing this distorted logic in to our society for many years now. I remember working hard for the prize and not always winning. It pushed me to work even harder and the next time I had the opportunity to compete I succeeded. It is correct that we need equality in the sense that everyone gets a chance to compete, but not win because they simply showed up.

That is not how things are done anymore. Every child on a team gets a trophy or award no matter how they performed. Sometimes teams don’t even keep score. Teachers are advised not to use red pens, to grade papers, as it might hurt someone’s feelings. Everything is done to keep things "fair."

Milton Friedman said, "A society that puts equality...ahead of freedom will end up with neither equality nor freedom."

Progressives have long idealistically prized the idea of a society where everything is "fair and equitable". I really don’t think they have any idea what that means. Unfortunately for them and all of us their little fantasy is coming true and I believe in the end they will not be very happy with what that produces.

Competition produces excellence. Competition fosters creativity. Competition encourages a work ethic, drive and determination. Competition has been an important virtue in making this nation great. When we bail out companies with tax payer money in an attempt to even the playing field all we have done is enable a bad company to survive when frankly it should sink. It needs to fail! That is a really hard thing for progressives to hear but it is a fact. If a company is irresponsible and manages its funds improperly it must fail so that healthy and responsible companies can prosper. Government intervention has created the recession we are currently in and more intervention will not heal it. The market should have been given a chance to correct itself.
The government is not charitable. The government’s idea of welfare would fall better under the very general title of altruism where handouts are concerned. Altruism is the deliberate pursuit of the interests or welfare of others or the public interest. It sounds pretty enduring, but you have to read between the lines where government is concerned. Government is an institution or a machine, not a person with feelings or insight, nor is it a god. When altruism is handed to the government it is ultimately mishandled and used for gain or control. Altruism should function solely in the private sector among individuals without selfish ambition. The government’s form of altruism kills competition and ultimately leads to socialism and there is absolutely nothing "free" about it.

This line of thought, that somehow competition is evil and hand outs are virtuous is insidious and destructive to our country. There is a place for charity, but as a hand up, not a hand out and NOT at the hand of government.

Economist Thomas Sowell brilliantly debates some of these points in this video in a 1980 debate with Pennsylvania Secretary of Welfare, Helen O'Banion :
