Climategate Story....Not Going Away

Dear Main Stream Media,

We know you are doing your best to cover this up. It is understandable, but very immoral. Instead of focusing on one of the biggest scientific scandals ever, and identifying the real scoundrels involved, you have given in to both corporate and governmental pressure. A lot of big companies pay you a great deal of money to advertise their products and they really want to continue the lies about the existence of global warming that they have helped perpetuate. Governments have their own shady agendas.

What you must understand is that WE THE PEOPLE are not letting this go! We will get the word out and we will make sure the truth is told, even if you stopped doing that long ago.

Sincerely,
Truth Seeking Citizens of the World

Al Gore Confronted Again!

We are Change Chicago confronts Al Gore again and this time about Climategate! Here is the post from their website www.wearechangechicago.com

CHICAGO IL – On Tuesday, November 24th 2009, We Are Change Chicago attended a book signing with former vice president Al Gore, at the Borders Bookstore on 150 N. State Street.

The previous Thursday, news had begun to circulate that hacked documents and communications from the University of East Anglia’s Hadley Climate Research Unit (CRU) had been published to the internet. The information revealed how top scientists conspired to falsify data in the face of declining global temperatures in order to prop up the premise that man-made factors are driving climate change. Please review ClimateGate for Dummies.

To ensure the public that the media and Al Gore are aware of the facts that prove global warming to be a hoax, patriots from WAC Chicago marched to the book signing. Scattered throughout a crowd of a few hundred were members of WAC Chicago ready to ask Al Gore what he thought about ‘ClimateGate.’

First up was Saad Ali. As he approached Gore, he peacefully and respectably asked, “Sir, can you comment on the emails and documents that were hacked [ClimateGate] that reveal… that the research was a fraud and that it was all manipulated?” Gore, with an evil smirk, claimed that “he never read them.” By the look on his face and his stutter, it became quite clear that Gore was extremely uncomfortable with the question, so he quickly glared towards his security. The agents grabbed and assaulted Saad, escorting him away from Gore for merely asking a simple question. The press took notice and started filming and snapping pictures of what was going on. One of which appeared the next day in the Chicago Sun Times.

Following Saad’s confrontation, Sati Word, a member of WAC Chicago, questioned Gore on why the IPCC hasn’t released any reports on sunspot activity. However, before he could get an answer from Gore, security grabbed Sati and escorted him out of the building.

A little while later, Anthony, an activist from We Are Change Ohio, approached Gore and handed him the petition of the 31,486 scientists who say that Global Warming is a complete hoax. Anthony asked, “What do you think about the science behind this sir?” Mr. Gore rolled his eyes, and security escorted him out of the building.

Steve (swizzlesteve), was the last activist to question Gore. Within seconds of asking, “Any comments on ClimateGate? The emails that prove it’s a scam, a farce, that global warming is a joke, any comment?” Mr. Gore is heard to utter a few “uhhhhhhhs” and security quickly steps in to remove him as well.

The press was waiting outside Borders. They wanted to find out who this group was, that dared question what the elite had forced us to consume as truth. WBBM news radio, 780, ran a sound bite of WAC Chicago, WGN news ran footage, Medill Reports wrote an article, and blog posts were popping up all over the internet about the Al Gore confrontation in Chicago. Many also asked about the footage of WAC Chicago chasing after Gore’s SUV after the event. You will find all of it in this video. Al Gore was confronted multiple times in line, outside the event as he rushed to his waiting Mercedes SUV, (were you expecting something electric?), and once again in the streets of Chicago. We Are Change had people outside with signs, banners, fliers, and DVDs. Activists were inside asking questions and demanding answers; the world is waking up, it’s a great time to be alive.

Don't quit! Keep demanding the truth America.

Ron Paul Gains Mainstream Steam

The Politico did a great piece today on Ron Paul and how his ideas are becoming more mainstream as time goes along.

Is libertarian rock star and Texas Republican Ron Paul going mainstream?

He’s got everyone from South Carolina Republican Sen. Jim DeMint to Minnesota moderate Democrat Collin Peterson to California liberal Barbara Boxer on his side in his audit-the-Fed crusade. He’s drawing liberal support in his push to rein in the cost of the war in Afghanistan. Senate candidates like Democratic Rep. Paul Hodes of New Hampshire are finding Dr. No’s populist economic anger to be useful in the campaign, echoing Paul’s criticism of the Federal Reserve.

Even Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.) is delivering backhanded compliments, taking credit for merely allowing a vote on Paul’s amendment to audit the central bank.

This convergence of odd bedfellows, and the economic angst that’s driving it all, is yet another signal that President Barack Obama is going to have more and more trouble keeping his traditional Democratic allies on his side as the economic debate continues. It seems that everyone is looking for something new to latch on to in the economic debate — even if those ideas belong to one of the more eccentric members of Congress.

Most people overlooked Congressman Paul during the primaries in 2008, and I was one of them. However, back during the summer of 2008, I read his book "The Revolution" and I got hooked on his ideas.

He is truly the last great statesman in Congress and a true champion for the Constitution. Conservatives shouldn't over look his ideas simply because they are stuck in a rut that they are feed everyday by the leadership of the Republican Party.

Read his foreign policy stance and open your minds to the fact that he is right and his stance is the true conservative stance.

The faster this is realized, the faster America will be on the road to prosperity again.

Fair and Balanced? The reason for Freedom of the Press...

By: David A.W. Hittle

November 24, 2009

The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States is one of the most important amendments added with the Bill of Rights. The text of that amendment is also quite simple: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Fox News’s motto is that they’re “Fair and Balanced,” I believe that, that is truer now than it has ever been. When President Bush was in office, everyday was an Iraq war casualty update, and today is the same thing. The same people are still with Fox News, Geraldo (Democrat/Socialist), Sheppard Smith (Democrat), etc. There are only difference between Fox News and the other network news outlets. 1. Fox News actually allows Conservatives to work, and be Conservative. 2. When a person is found out to be a Conservative they’re a. not immediately fired, or b. put into a though-changing camp.

The reason for the freedom of the press is and was for one reason only… The founding fathers wanted the press and citizens of this great nation to know what its government was doing the entire time. They also wanted the citizenry to know current events and again to know exactly what was going on in their country at any given time.

Of course in the beginning there were only newspapers, and there was no e-mail, telephone, or other devices. The newspapers took awhile to update so began the pamphlet. It was easy to print, easy to distribute and was able to update the citizens of every situation.
The Press has direct freedom from the Constitution because the founders knew it was vitally important to keep the government in check.
Today however most of the press doesn’t check the government, instead they back up the Democrat party politicians. When Ron Paul was interviewed about his bill which would Audit the Federal Reserve, some News Agencies criticized him about this even though in the latest polls the American people want the Fed Audited.

So what does this indicate? Either one the Press is behind the times with the American people, or two the Press is behind the Politicians; if it is two instead of one, we’ll continue to see any candidate who is not a Democrat treated like garbage, and Democrats will be backed up 100% as they more or less are today.

When we have a media event with President Obama and he tells them that most of the voted for him; and he gets an applause we know there is something wrong. Because truth is, most of the probably did vote for him, and most of them endorsed him as well. The point is: The Press is supposed to inform the American people not endorse candidates for political office or follow their talking points to the letter.

The University of California Budget Crisis

by: Gary Fouse

It seems that I have gotten the attention of a few folks within the University of California system with my tongue-in-cheek critiques of the recent student protests and occupations over the tuition hikes and budget cuts that have taken place. I would like to turn serious for moment and discuss the issue head on.

First of all, the protesters and their supporters are mis-directing their anger. Instead of blaming the universities for this mess, they should be demonstrating in front of the state capitol in Sacramento. It is there that this whole disaster was created with the out-of-control spending that has been going on for a couple of decades. Where were the protesters even two years ago when they could see what was happening in the state because of the tax and spending habits of the legislators? I'll bet virtually none of these folks were complaining while Sacramento was throwing huge sums of money around for wasteful social projects, many of which were designed to provide services to illegal aliens.

Where were they then?

The fact is most of these demonstrators were probably applauding all the social spending for liberal causes.

Now the hard reality is that there is no more money. You can't demand that the universities spend more money when they don't have it to spend.

But here is one thing that the students should be upset at, and yet, it appears they don't even know it. Recently, UC decided to cut back on in-state admissions in favor of out-of-state and international admissions. That is happening state-wide in the whole UC system. The reason is obvious. The out-of-state and international tuition is about 3 times higher than in-state.

On the other hand, isn't a university system-of any state- supposed to serve in-state applicants first since it is they (or their families) who are paying state taxes to support the universities?

I can't blame the students for being unhappy about the tuition hikes, which will indeed, drive thousands out of the UC system including many who have not even demonstrated. It is not that I don't have sympathy for them. However, those who have marched in lock step with the usual rabble-rousers and engaged in destructive or disruptive behavior on the campuses to express their anger have lost any sympathy that I may have had. For them, it is time to grow up and start living in the real world that exists beyond the cocoon of the university. It is not-as they claim-"their university".

It is also time for many who teach or administer in the UC system to realize that what happened last week is, in many respects, a case of the chickens coming home to roost. Many of these students were putting to use some of the things that they probably learned from some of their teachers. In addition, if the universities want to find places to cut without hurting education, they could start with some of the outlandish, politically-correct departments that have been forced on them over the past 4-5 decades. I am talking about UCSC's Community Studies and History of Consciousness departments, the Feminist studies departments, Gay, Lesbian, Transgender, Transsexual and "Confused" departments, as well as the ethnic studies departments that have done little more than foster a sense of resentment, etnocentricity and victimhood among its students, who graduate ill-equipped do much more than teach the same subjects to the next generation.

They could also take a look at some of the academic frauds who are indoctrinating our students rather than educating them. These students and their families are not paying all this extravagant tuition just to come to school and learn that the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are "wrong" and that George W. Bush was an "idiot". Yet, that is precisely what they getting in many of the Humanities departments. That is not an education.

But what do I know? I'm just a humble ESL teacher. I don't have a PHD after my name.

We Are Change Colorado Confronts Al Gore at Book Signing

In this video members of the activist group We Are Change Colorado confront Al Gore at a book signing multiple times. It is refreshing and encouraging to to seeing ordinary Americans voice their opinions and demand accountability.

Al Gore is just one man that has profited, is profiting and will continue to profit from the Global Warming hoax. The are many others as well. Unfortunately, his junk science is being taken seriously by world leaders and as you can see he is still selling books.

Even Roger Revelle, Al Gore's mentor, the man Mr. Gore gives credit for introducing him to Global Warming theory, apologised for the mistake he had made -he said that global warming wasn't a problem after all before his death. Mr. Gore tried to dismiss that information, but it is well documented. Enough of the lies, it is time for all of us to start to ask questions and demand the truth!

Global Warming the Hoax

In this video Allen Barton of PJ TV interviews Myron Ebell of the Competitve Enterprise Institute. Myron Ebell is director of energy and global warming policy at CEI. He also serves as director of Freedom Action, a web-based grassroots activist organization loosely affiliated with CEI, and chairs the Cooler Heads Coalition, which comprises over two dozen non-profit groups in this country and abroad that question global warming alarmism and oppose energy rationing policies. You can learn more about Mr. Ebell by clicking here http://cei.org/people/myron-ebell

With the creditability and validity of the global warming theory continually challenged and in the light of these e-mails that have been leaked to the public, it is very difficult and almost laughable to try to understand how any government in good conscience can proceed in attending Copenhagen in December. The are many "enviro-capitalists" however that stand to make a great deal of money on green technologies that will probably fight like crazy to substantiate the myth of global warming. The Copenhagen Treaty has the potential to do enormous damage economically to many countries, including our own, and that is most likely the desired outcome of some players in this game since they stand to profit from it.

Are Americans Paying Taxes to Organized Crime Syndicates?

By Roger F. Gay

They just won't let it go. Even after exposure of illegal activities, bills show up in Congress to find more ways to give money to ACORN. If there is any silver lining, it could be the awakening of taxpayers to the current reality. Beyond “tax and spend,” there's the eerie question of where all the money is going. A heck of a lot of it could be illegal, and in support of illegal operations, simply theft.

At most, Americans have typically gotten only a superficial view of the federal budget. Political issues are presented in big and certainly superficial terms. Much of the information given about big spending decisions is wrong. Why? Because many of the reasons for a big budget have nothing at all to do with the “issues.” They are merely excuses for spending. The public gets a view based on unleashed marketing practices, without normal legal constraints against out-and-out fraud.

It seems that practically the only beneficiaries of big health care reform, for example, come from a simple expansion of Medicaid. The only beneficiaries of “climate change” reforms are Big Energy companies and politically connected “businessmen” like Al Gore who are in on the scam. Both initiatives have extreme down-sides for taxpayers and the economy as a whole. These realities have little to nothing to do with what promoters are saying with exaggerated claims about the “uninsured” and demonization of critics.

What is the Constitutional authority for Congress to give money to ACORN? There isn't any. When Nancy Pelosi was asked for Constitutional authority for the federal government to take control of health insurance, she responded that “promoting the general welfare the Constitution obviously gives broad authority to Congress to effect that end.” It's the kind of fundamental misinterpretation that one might expect from a grade-schooler. If it were true, it would mean that the federal government can spend money on anything it wants. There would be virtually no Constitutional limit to federal government power or abuse of that power.

They could for example, give $400 million to Al Gore just because they felt like it and he could give a percentage privately back to each Congressional supporter. It would make Al Gore happy as well as the politicians receiving the kick-backs. That would be ok under Pelosi's “broad authority” to promote welfare.

The Constitutional role of the federal government includes support for the “general welfare” of the United States, not welfare programs. The term “welfare” was not used in reference to social programs until long after the Constitution was written. Throughout history however, federal courts have allowed compromises and sometimes giant leaps in limit-busting expansions to federal power. What we have called the “welfare program” for the past few decades actually started as a veteran's benefit to provide for families of fallen and disabled soldiers, related to the federal government's authorized role in national defense. It was then expanded, bit by bit in response to butter and guns arguments, then eventually on to the creation of an all-encompassing welfare state. (More on this below.)

The “slippery slope” theory of American government held that allowing the federal government to exceed its Constitutional authority here and there would establish precedents that would then allow greater and more rapid expansions of government power. This would eventually lead to a collapse of the Constitutional system along with disappearance of freedom and individual rights. The theory has obviously held, for the current Congress respects no limits to their power and is addicted to proposals that would accomplish the task. It has often been said that the “slippery slope” leads to socialism. But is the appearance of a socialist revolution in Washington merely another marketing trick? Are we really sliding into the deepest pits of plain, old-fashioned criminal corruption? History suggests that we are.

Constraints against federal power have relaxed, more rapidly since the 1960s. In the 1970s, conservative members of Congress complained that it looked like “liberals” wanted to turn any good idea into a federal program. By the 1980s, the ideas no longer needed to be good. They only needed to be marketed in a manner that would make them feel like they might be good. During the 1990s, disguised as “welfare reform,” the federal government took over marriage and family. It was likely the greatest social and political change in American history, at least since Roe v. Wade. For the first time in history, the welfare program had grown to encompass everyone, regardless of income and no matter whether you asked to be involved or not. The federal government immediately began to collect detailed personal and financial information on every American, as if authorized to investigate alleged welfare fraud in every case. The US 9th Circuit Court of Appeals sanctioned it all by redefining marriage and family law from Civil Law to “social policy;” in effect abolishing individual rights and protections against government intrusion. (P.O.P.S. v Gardner, 1993)

Federal family law reform involved “public-private partnerships.” This meant creation of private companies supported by federal funds designed to carry out government functions. The marketing theme was child support enforcement and “deadbeat dads” who, it was alleged, burdened the welfare system by refusing to support their own children. The reform had the support of nearly all bureaucrats on federal and state payrolls and was consistently supported by government funded studies.

But subsequent private studies uncovered a pattern of collusion. Nearly all non-payment problems were due to non-ability to pay or the subject of an on-going legal dispute. Statistics supporting reform typically included all payments made late or subsequently reduced by court order rather than just money owed, were not limited to welfare cases, and often stretched back decades. Government supported studies were often conducted by people with clear conflicts of interest – those who made money or stood to make money directly from the reforms. There was also a revolving door between government social system bureaucracies and the private partner companies where much more money could be made. A few state legislators were jailed after passing legislation for personal profit and a Michigan Attorney General lobbied for additional funding while running a controversial private child support enforcement organization. Legislation also included additional support for judicial operations, subject to performance measures, while ordinary support was being cut back.

If you were alive in the 1990s and had an ounce of common sense, Shakespeare's words might have come to mind. "The lady doth protest too much, methinks.” Particularly during the mid to late part of the decade, we were deluged with a daily dose of “deadbeat dad” propaganda from nearly every television station, magazine, and newspaper in the country. The result of reform was an expansion of the welfare system and a much higher cost, with nearly no compensating effect. Still today, child support enforcement companies suck down billions of taxpayer dollars a year while providing no worthwhile services, bureaucrats continue through the revolving door, and ordinary citizens suffer the loss of individual rights.

Bill Clinton used “deadbeat dad” propaganda heavily in both presidential campaigns even though he doubtless understood it to be a marketing myth. At the time the scheme was being fully implemented, Al Gore and Hillary Clinton had offices in the White House. Hillary Clinton hatched her health care reform effort, based on nothing. The parallels between the family law scheme and Gore's global warming scam are quite striking. Government studies producing false and misleading results in support of government expansion and intrusion, broad support from people on government payrolls, a massive propaganda campaign with critics attacked and demonized, public-private partnerships that receive huge contributions from government and forced contributions from the private sector while providing no worthwhile services. Gore's plan, as well as health care reform, are much larger and involve much more money. Gore's scam is global, but so was the family law scheme. Led by the USA, similar family law reform in most of the western world followed. The difference is that Gore's scheme will allow Gore to collect on all international operations, whereas public-private partnerships had previously been local.

Forty years ago, such schemes would have gone off without a hitch. The public would have been none the wiser. Politicians would have been careful to hide ulterior motives. In the past, the public accepted fundamental change pretty much without complaint, often because they were simply not told. The “conservative” verses “liberal” debate seemed like it amounted to something and we thought that the Constitution and the courts would save us eventually if something really important went wrong.

It seems that big public scamming has become more formulaic. The current generation of politicians has only known success of the method. So they “geared up” to bigger and bolder schemes and carry them out with less concern for getting caught. In fact, the new generation of followers do not seem to have the need to be as bright as the original creators. That brings us back to ACORN. Why not pick an existing organization – one that already has a nefarious character – and just funnel money to them. It's particularly easy if it has already created its own marketing myth –  it's own feeling of a good idea, if the president already has an established relationship, and the attack on critics is already defined – racists! Domestic terrorists using the Constitution as an excuse!

But then, somebody might notice. And with so many government scams effecting so many people already – the truth might generally be believed. Support for current initiatives is relatively low and diminishing as more and more critics have become more concerned about corruption. Especially with repetition, the whole master-plan – the “formula” itself might be exposed. If stupidity isn't the reason for such brazen moves as we are watching today, what is? Maybe they just believe that they are already so powerful that there is nothing the public can do to stop them. Without Constitutional rights and protections against government intrusion and only a  semblance of democracy, what can anyone do?

Angelina Jolie an Obama Hating Libertarian?

There have been rumors for some time now that Angelina Jolie and her husband Brad Pitt were closet Libertarians.  It might appear that the rumors are true:

Barack Obama does not have Angelina Jolie's seal of approval.

"She hates him," a source close to the U.N. goodwill ambassador, 34, tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on newsstands now).

"She's into education and rehabilitation and thinks Obama is all about welfare and handouts. She thinks Obama is really a socialist in disguise," adds the source.

Also remember that her dad, John Voight, is a big Obama hater as well. It is about time that the people in Hollywood who have been hiding for fear of their career's come out and speak.

Glenn Beck Unviels His Plan for America

Here is the open letter to American that Glenn Beck penned to take back our country from the hands of tyranny.

Friends,

What an amazing few days on the road this has been. Your spirits have been high, your faith strong and your spine unbendable. I ended my multiday book tour at The Villages with what had been billed as a rally but could be better described as a candid citizen-to-citizen chat.

Today, I have stopped looking for a leader to show us the way out because I have come to realize that the only one who can truly save our country...is us. To change America's course we need to change ourselves, our expectations and our willingness to accept the unacceptable. When we refuse to allow our children to receive a trophy for participation, we are on the road to restoring the meaning of merit in our Republic. When we insist that no one is too big to fail, we will be able to learn from our mistakes, and when we demand that we are self-reliant, we will ensure that others can rely on us, not the government.

There is much to do, much to learn and time is of the essence. While I will be explaining the entire Plan over the coming weeks and months, I did want to give you a preview of some of the highlights:

- Education is key, and not just for our children. To that end, we will be conducting a series of conventions. These will be full-day experiences where you will be immersed in learning about topics ranging from self-reliance, community organizing, the economy and how to be a political force in your own neighborhood and country. The first one will be in Orlando at UCF Arena on March 27th. You will also be able to vote to have a convention in your region by clicking here.

- I have begun meeting with some of the best minds in the country that believe in limited government, maximum freedom and the values of our Founders. I am developing a 100 year plan. I know that the bipartisan corruption in Washington that has brought us to this brink and it will not be defeated easily. It will require unconventional thinking and a radical plan to restore our nation to the maximum freedoms we were supposed to have been protecting, using only the battlefield of ideas.

- All of the above will culminate in The Plan, a book that will provide specific policies, principles and, most importantly, action steps that each of us can take to play a role in this Refounding.

- On August 28, 2010, I ask you, your family and neighbors to join me at the feet of Abraham Lincoln on the National Mall for the unveiling of The Plan and the birthday of a new national movement to restore our great country.

From the White House Basement-Cass Sunstein

by: Roger Gay

When we talk about the Obama administration's troublesome attitude toward unfriendly voices in the media, Cass Sunstein is a guy we need to pay attention to. He is a legal scholar (sort of) who Obama chose to head up the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA). We could also call this the White House Office for Counter-Revolutionary Blogs (OCRB).

Sunstein is also known for his involvement in the animal rights movement. Was it Sean Hannity that reported that Sunstein advocates that animals have lawyers? Sunstein also has some pretty interesting ideas about the Bill of Rights, which I won't go into here. It is what he has written on the subject of information on the Internet that raises my eyebrows.

In 2001, Sunstein wrote a book, Republic.com, in which he argued that the "Internet may weaken democracy because it allows citizens to isolate themselves within groups that share their own views and experiences, and thus cut themselves off from any information that might challenge their beliefs, a phenomenon known as cyber balkanization." (Wikipedia)

I wonder what he thinks about blogs that criticize the president?

Sunstein also co-authored "Nudge: Improving Decisions about Health, Wealth, and Happiness" (Yale University Press, 2008) with some guy named Richard Thaler of the University of Chicago. This book describes how public and private organizations can help people make better choices in their daily lives!

Yes. We all need government to help us make better choices in our lives!

"People often make poor choices - and look back at them with bafflement! We do this because as human beings, we all are susceptible to a wide array of routine biases that can lead to an equally wide array of embarrassing blunders in education, personal finance, health care, mortgages and credit cards, happiness, and even the planet itself." (Wikipedia)

(That's where Government comes in.)

In his book "Democracy and the Problem of Free Speech" Sunstein says there is a need to change the First Amendment. According to Sunstein, the present “situation in which like-minded people speak or listen mostly to one another,”and thinks that in “light of astonishing economic and technological changes, we must doubt whether, as interpreted, the constitutional guarantee of free speech is adequately serving democratic goals.” He proposes a “New Deal for speech that would draw on Justice Brandeis' insistence on the role of free speech in promoting political deliberation and citizenship." (Wikipedia)

Taxes? Great thing, according to Sunstein. He has been quoted as saying that "we should celebrate tax day."

The last thing you need to know about Cass is that he is married to Samantha Power. She is the lady who worked on Obama's campaign until she called Hillary Clinton a "monster" and had to resign.

Now here's the tricky part. I know I'm a simple guy, but I went to the website of the OIRA to see what the hell these people do. After browsing around their site for about an hour, I still don't know what these people do. All I know is that this bureaucracy was created by Congress in 1980 as part of the Paperwork Reduction Act!

I found one memo on the site about the subject of risk. This was a long memo that went into great bureaucratic detail about RISK (to health, safety and the envirnment), but that's it. No mention of what specific risk they are talking about-hurricanes, AIDS, crime, terror, nothing-just risk. Risk assessment, risk management, risk analysis, Presidents Council on Risk, etc.

What are these risks?

What scares me here is this past talk from Sunstein about like-minded people getting all their information from each other as being a threat to democracy and all that. What is he talking about? Cyberbalkinization? Do I detact the sinister shadow of Mark Lloyd, the Diversity Czar over at FCC?

Of course, he can't be all bad. After all, his wife knows that Hillary Clinton is a monster.

First Amendment under Attack

By A.M. Novoa

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” First Amendment to the United States Constitution

The first amendment is under constant attack in our society in the form of political correctness and the agenda of the progressive far left that would like to see it abolished altogether.

One very serious example is the recent case of a West Virginia Mom who lost the fight to protect her daughter from H1N1 Vaccine and other vaccines. Jennifer Workman sued the Mingo County School District and its officials, claiming, among other things, that the vaccination requirement violates her First Amendment right to free exercise of religion. Her older daughter had developed developmental disorders after being vaccinated. The mother sought to exempt her younger 6-year-old daughter from mandatory vaccinations for medical and religious reasons.

“Ms. Workman's freedom of religion claim fails," U.S. District Judge Joseph R. Goodwin of Charleston, W.Va said. "Her beliefs do not exempt her from complying with West Virginia's mandatory immunization program. It has long been recognized that local authorities may constitutionally mandate vaccinations." The judge granted summary judgment to the Mingo County school district on 11th Amendment immunity grounds. Unfortunately for the mother, the school district has been under state control since 2005, which means for immunity purposes it is considered an arm of the state, and under the 11th Amendment, the state may not be sued without its consent. West Virginia is one of two states not honoring religious exemptions in regards to vaccinations.

http://blogs.edweek.org/edweek/school_law/2009/11/school-district-upheld-on-mand.html

In another instance James David Manning, the controversial pastor of the Atlah Missionary Church in Harlem and harsh critic of President Obama, was recently visited by Homeland Security. He expects to be charged and arrested soon with “making a threat against the president”. Pastor Manning’s speech about Mr. Obama is not flattering by any stretch of the imagination, however he claims to have never threatened to harm Mr. Obama, only wishing to see him “come to justice for treason.” Pastor Manning believes President Obama is not a natural born citizen of the United States and has committed treason in becoming President and not presenting a legitimate birth certificate and other documents. Pastor Manning is what is now referred to as a "birther."

Now whatever emotions or opinions you may have about the mother from West Virginia or Pastor Manning they have a constitutionally guaranteed right to exercise freedom of religion, free speech and to petition the Government with grievances. Unfortunately, in both of the above examples those rights are being trampled on by a Government that is growing more and more oppressive and abusive each and every day. There are dozens of examples, but these are two from this week alone. This insanity must stop. Being an American is historically linked and identified with having free thought and free speech irregardless of how much others may or may not agree with you.

House panel approves Ron Paul's proposal to audit the Federal Reserve

The first step in a process that needs to be taken happened yesterday in Congress. The House Financial Service Committee approved Congressman Ron Paul's proposal to audit the federal reserve.

From the Politico:

The House Financial Services Committee has approved Rep. Ron Paul’s measure to drastically expand the government’s power to audit the Federal Reserve.

The measure, based on a Paul proposal that has attracted more than 300 co-sponsors, passed, 43-26, as an amendment to a financial reform bill. Florida Democrat and fellow Fed critic Alan Grayson co-sponsored the amendment with Paul and played a leading role drumming up support for it among committee members. The adoption of this amendment is an extraordinary victory for Paul, whose libertarian, anti-Fed leanings have often been dismissed by the political establishment.

The amendment would give the Government Accountability Office much greater to audit the Federal Reserve, which has a long history of independence from congressional audits. Paul and Grayson beat out a competing measure offered by Rep. Mel Watt (D-N.C.), who after weeks of negotiations with the pair felt their measure would threaten the Fed’s monetary policy.

This is a big victory in our effort to get an audit of the private central bank that is destroying this country. The people are tired, and action is starting to be taken thanks to Ron Paul.

Here is Congressman Paul's introduction of the amendment:

Post Office loses $3.8 billion in FY09--and Now The Gov't Wants to Run Health Care?

The Federal Government is trying to convince us that they are better equipped to run health care in this country than the people. They think they can make it deficit neutral, but what about the other enterpises the government runs?

The U.S. Post office lost $3.8 billion during fiscal year 2009, even though it cut $6 billion in spending by taking a number of cost-cutting measures, including cutting 40,000 full-time positions.

This is a year after year occurrence with the post office, and the only solution they have is to raise the price of stamps.

But now the government is telling us they can run health care in this country. They can't even run a freaking post office!!

Critical Vote on Audit the Fed Today!

From the Campaign for Liberty:

A few weeks ago, we sent out an alert that Representative Mel Watt was attempting to water down H.R. 1207 in the House Financial Services Committee.

The latest reports we have received have informed us that a vote on the Watt amendment could come tomorrow!

There's still time for us to stop this attack on Audit the Fed! Click here to get a full list of Financial Services Committee members, along with their contact information.

Financial Services leadership seems determined to include Audit the Fed as part of a regulatory reform package instead of passing it as a standalone bill.

While C4L will still do everything in its power to fight for a standalone vote on Audit the Fed on the House floor, it is critical we challenge Watt's amendment in Committee.

It will become much easier for our representatives to claim they still support Audit the Fed on the House floor if the Watt version passes, when, in reality, Representative Watt's amendment puts restrictions on Government Accountability Office audits of the Fed.

For example, Watt's amendment prevents the GAO from auditing or reviewing decisions to authorize, modify, extend, or terminate loans or liquidity facilities.

Congressman Paul will offer an amendment in Committee restoring an audit of the Fed's entire $2 trillion balance sheet, but we have received word that some of the Democrat members may be waffling on their support for his amendment.

Help us turn up the pressure on these members! Below is the list of Democrats on the committee who have cosponsored H.R. 1207. Please call them and urge them to vote "Yes" on Ron Paul's amendment. Click on their names to get their web contact information.

1. Rep. John Adler, NJ (202) 225-4765
2. Rep. Travis Childers, MS (202) 225-4306
3. Rep. Steve Driehaus, OH (202) 225-2216
4. Rep. Alan Grayson, FL (202) 225-2176
5. Rep. Rubén Hinojosa, TX (202) 225-2531
6. Rep. Suzanne Kosmas, FL Toll Free: 1-877-956-7627
7. Rep. Dan Maffei, NY (202) 225-3701
8. Rep. Brad Miller, NC (202) 225-3032
9. Rep. Walt Minnick, ID (202) 225-6611
10. Rep. Ed Perlmutter, CO (202)-225-2645
11. Rep. David Scott, GA (202) 225-2939
12. Rep. Brad Sherman, CA (202) 225-5911
13. Rep. Jackie Speier, CA (202) 225-3531

When contacting these members, remember that up to this point, they have been allies on this issue. A civil yet firm tone should be kept during these calls. They should be thanked for their cosponsorship, told that Mel Watt's changes to the bill are unacceptable, and urged to hold the line and honor their promise to support transparency at the Fed by voting "Yes" on Ron Paul's amendment.

And don't forget to click here to get a full list of Financial Services Committee members.

For more information on the Watt amendment, check out this article by The Huffington Post's Ryan Grim.
We are continuing our work to achieve a standalone vote on H.R. 1207 on the House floor, but we must first stop the Watt amendment in the Financial Services Committee.

Make sure the Financial Services Committee members hear from you as soon as their offices open Thursday morning!

A vote could come any time tomorrow. Call, email, and fax the Financial Services Committee members to vote "Yes" on Congressman Ron Paul's amendment.

Today is a New Day!

By A.M. Novoa

How did we get here? The indoctrination of the "culture of blame" starts very young and has been going on for several decades. This generation is growing savvy to what has been happening and we are not standing for it anymore. The culture of "the blame game" must stop here or we are destined to serfdom under a socialist nanny state. It starts when children are small and much of the lack of personal responsibility is taught in homes and reinforced in our schools.

Challenge your children. Teach them a work ethic. Show them how to be responsible and have respect. Teach them to have expectations of themselves and not to expect everything to be handed to them. Our jobs as parents is to work ourselves out of a job, not to raise adult babies. A lot of these "infants" are leading our country right now! They have many backwards ideas, like spending more as a means to get out of debt! They have had their party and it is time to finish it, clean up, get serious and get some things done.

Elections are coming to your town, city, county and state. Make your decisions based on the personal integrity of candidates that are running for office and do not chose the ones promising "free candy". That is a trick used on school children by men of evil character. Nothing changes!

Wake up America and take back this country before it is too late!

Stellar Employee

Just when you thought you heard it all concerning ACORN, program director at ACORN Housing, Mr. Felix D. Harris of Los Angeles California, drew the line at helping a pimp and prostitute use "underage girls" as prostitutes in a brothel. The "underage" part of the deal just didn't sit well with Mr. Harris. Mr. Harris stands out as a stellar ACORN employee with standards. Mr. Harris was the ONLY employee nationwide that would not assist the couple.

James O'Keefe (posed as pimp in the sting) of Big Government awards Mr. Harris the "ACORN Employee of the Year" award for his "leadership, superior ethics, unwavering integrity, compassion for young women, and for serving as a shining beacon of inspiration for his fellow ACORN employees".

Way to go Felix!!

Political Corruption Equivalent to Religion, according to British Judge

By Roger F. Gay

Ever wonder about the final straw that will bring down western civilization? A British judge may have created it. On November 3rd, Mr Justice Michael Burton, the same judge that allowed continued showing of An Inconvenient Truth to children in British schools even while recognizing it to be a dishonest political propaganda film decided that: "A belief in man-made climate change, and the alleged resulting moral imperatives, is capable if genuinely held, of being a philosophical belief for the purpose of the 2003 Religion and Belief Regulations." The ruling means that an employment tribunal will decide whether Al Gore should be given the same legal status as Abraham, Jesus, or Mohamed.

The trigger for the ruling is an employee who objected to travel by plane and was subsequently fired for not doing his job. Consequences however, may be more in line with the observations of so-called “global warming skeptics” who have long-since recognized that Gore's followers accept his message on faith, and spread “the word” as blind evangelists in contradiction to scientific fact. Far from being a religion of love an peace, its highest apostles characterize non-believers as evil and advocate force and violence as a means of control. Al Gore himself is seen as being in it for wealth and power.

Founders of western civilization, those who maintained and nurtured it, have consistently been objective thinkers – concerned about what is actually true and false, right and wrong, and what works and doesn't work. Real religion played an essential role in directing people away from superstition and ignorance. A central element effecting western civilization was the rejection of the idea that particular human beings have devine rights. Equality, democracy, and universal human rights took hold.

If the final decision favors Mr. Gore, a new order will begin. Whenever propaganda has been sufficiently developed and implemented to have gathered a following, non-believers will be required to accept and adapt. Such a ruling would mean that Britains would be required, for example, to respect Hitler's Holocaust and employees would get time off to throw rocks through windows at McDonalds restaurants. Politicians will become bishops in a new Church. It would in effect become illegal to be sane and reasonable.

Power shifts to create a new world order are quite popular today among the Political Class. We may be seeing the final phases of a shift back to the days when political leaders can force populations to treat them as Gods and rights will be replaced by pseudo-religious obligations.

U.S. Troops Wearing UN Colors

According to World Net Daily, “Troops in the United States’ USNORTHCOM ranks appear to have adopted a shoulder patch showing the North American union design, with an emphasis on United Nations colors, giving evidence of the will to integrate North America.

There has been considerable talk of a North American Union, and the global elites are pushing real hard for the creation of such a union.

The report also states,

“The design of the patch with the U.S. eagle image superimposed seems to imply a hierarchy in which the U.S. 5th Army exerts its military command under the authority of USNORTHCOM, with its domain defined as all North America, including the U.S., Mexico and Canada, for the United Nations, as implied in the orange and blue motif.”

This is quite similar to the NORTHCOM patch right now

However, the current patch does not depict UN colors, and it has more of an American feel.

The North American Union is something that will most likely be slipped right through the back door unless people pay attention. This has been in the talks for sometime, and they were able to convince President Bush of its necessity.

I say no way in hell should our troops be wearing anything other than what depicts the United States colors, and we need to stand up for our sovereignty. It will take a grassroots effort to fight back against this attack on our freedom and liberty, but it can be won peacefully.

Obama: Too much debt could fuel double-dip recession

From Reuters:

BEIJING, Nov 18 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama gave his sternest warning yet about the need to contain rising U.S. deficits, saying on Wednesday that if government debt were to pile up too much, it could lead to a double-dip recession.

With the U.S. unemployment rate at 10.2 percent, Obama told Fox News his administration faces a delicate balance of trying to boost the economy and spur job creation while putting the economy on a path toward long-term deficit reduction.

Duh genius!! So much for stating the obvious.

It really puzzles me that people fall for this idiocy. How can a President preach deficit reduction and debt reduction, while at the same time piling up spending bill after spending bill? It makes no sense at all, and it made no sense in the past administration.

This country has a crisis coming for it and it is time to stand up and take control. Stop the out of control governmental spending, stop the infringement on our civil liberties, and allow the American people to prosper under a free market. That is the only thing that works.

Jobs 'Saved or Created' in Congressional Districts That Don't Exist

What do we constantly hear out of the White House? We hear the stories on how they have saved thousands of jobs through the stimulus program that was passed earlier this year.

Well it turns out that is all a lie, because these so called jobs were created or saved in congressional districts that don't even exist:

Here's a stimulus success story: In Arizona's 15th congressional district, 30 jobs have been saved or created with just $761,420 in federal stimulus spending. At least that's what the Web site set up by the Obama administration to track the $787 billion stimulus says.

There's one problem, though: There is no 15th congressional district in Arizona; the state has only eight districts.

And ABC News has found many more entries for projects like this in places that are incorrectly identified.

So we are to trust the government? They can't even be straight with us, and apparently they hire some pretty stupid people.

Oh wait, they have a idiotic President as well that thinks there are 58 states in the union.

Illegal Alien Amnesty Thugs Attack Tea Party Protesters in Ft. Lauderdale

As a result of Chris Mathews portraying tea party attendees as racist, tea party activists in Ft. Lauderdale are attacked by pro amnesty thugs that were upset with the fact that they were having their signs filmed on camera.

This is not the first time this has happened. Back in August SEIU members attacked an African American tea party member for selling Don't Tread On Me gear.

We all have a right to dissent in this country, but when it turns violent it damages the credibility of a peaceful revolution.

The cronies at MSNBC should be held accountable for spreading the lies about the tea parties that result in these beatings. This is still kind of a free country and we all have the right to disagree with our government and one another.

However, more and more people are opening their eyes and seeing how good the idea of liberty and freedom feel.

The World Shakes Hands...Obama Bows

For those that claim it is a sign of respect to bow in Japan (which it is) this video will give you a perspective on world leaders and what Obama did for the Japanese Emperor:

I will reiterate...U.S. President's don't bow to foreign leaders, and especially ones that claim royalty. It has been our custom, because we fought a Revolution against monarchy, and we don't recognize it anymore.

Also, the Obama bow was not a respect bow, but rather it was the bow of a servant.

More Americans Say Health Care Not Gov'ts Responsibility

For some time, the American public has claimed that it was the governments responsibility to provide health insurance, but as the debate has raged on in Congress, the perception of the public has changed, according to Gallup:

PRINCETON, NJ -- More Americans now say it is not the federal government's responsibility to make sure all Americans have healthcare coverage (50%) than say it is (47%). This is a first since Gallup began tracking this question, and a significant shift from as recently as three years ago, when two-thirds said ensuring healthcare coverage was the government's responsibility.
Do You Think It Is the Responsibility of the Federal Government to Make Sure All Americans Have Healthcare Coverage, or Is That Not the Responsibility of the Federal Government?
Gallup has asked this question each November since 2001 as part of the Gallup Poll Social Series, and most recently in its Nov. 5-8 Health and Healthcare survey. There have been some fluctuations from year to year, but this year marks the first time in the history of this trend that less than half of Americans say ensuring healthcare coverage for all is the federal government's responsibility.

I claim that this trend has changed because of the mass education the public has been exposed to on the lies of our government and websites like this one. We have informed the masses, and they are now  changing their opinions, because they have finally heard the truth.

Jobless Rate More Like....20%

Gerald Celente has earned his reputation as "The most trusted name in trends" by accurately forecasting hundreds of social, business, consumer, environmental, economic, political, entertainment, and technology trends. Mr. Celente is the founded The Trends Research Institute in 1980. Unencumbered by political dogma, rigid ideology or conventional wisdom, Celente, whose motto is "think for yourself," observes and analyzes the current events forming future trends for what they are – not for the way he wants them to be.

It is hard to hear the truth about our situation here in the United States, but the truth is better than the politically correct spin that being served by the main stream media. Keeping our heads in the sand about certain realities will not help us be proactive in solving those problems and planning for the future. Mr. Celente is a good source for "real" infomation with out the "spin". As Mr. Celente would say, we need to start thinking for ourselves. Only then can we put our heads together, fire some politicians and get this country back on track.

Trials in New york? Terrible Idea

cross-posted by gary fouse

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed

"I got rights."

The decision of the Obama administration and the Holder Justice Department to bring Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four of his main cohorts to stand trial in US Federal Court is a blunder of monumental proportions. As I see it, once the lawyers and the judges get involved, look for these defendants to walk.

As a DEA agent, I spent my career working with the federal courts in prosecuting drug traffickers. Though I am not a lawyer, I do know the rules of procedure pretty darn well. Unless there are some provisions of the Patriot Act that I don't know about, this is what I see coming.

Once these defendants are brought to the US, here come the defense lawyers. Here come the motions for discovery of evidence against their clients-including probably, evidence that is sensitive to our intelligence-gathering process including the identities of foreign sources (and informants) who wish to remain secret. What foreign intelligence service is going to want to work with us on terror matters now knowing that they are likely to be divulged in a US Federal Court?

Do you doubt for a moment that the defense lawyers are going to claim their clients' rights to a speedy trial have been violated since they have been sitting in Gitmo for some 5 years. (Defendants in federal courts have a right to a speedy trial.) How about throwing out the confessions of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed based on the fact that he was water-boarded? Do you really think his confessions are going to hold up? How about evidence gathered from wiretaps not approved and sign off on by some federal judge? How about a challenge for change of venue since New York was the scene of the World Trade Center attack. Obviously, these poor defendants cannot get a fair trial there.

Get ready for a big circus trial in which the defense throws out all the dirt about Bush, Cheney, the Patriot Act, Gitmo, the NSA intercepts, waterboarding and everything else they can think of.

I can really see whoever the judge is assigned to these trials throwing the cases out of court altogether. Even if not, and the defendants are convicted, the appellate courts and the Supreme Court will eventually get involved.

These prisoners in my view are not entitled to anything other a military tribunal. They don't qualify for the Geneva Convention, and there is no need to hand them over to the federal courts. Is this what we are going to do with every terrorist we capture overseas? Watch our courts get clogged up in a hurry.

The example that should have been followed is the case involving the German saboteurs who landed on our shores in World War II, were captured and tried by military tribunals. (Most were hanged.) That is exactly what should have happened here. Instead, our government now chooses to hand them into the federal court system that may eventually have to kick them free on some legal technicality.

But you know what? I suspect Obama, Holder et al already know this.

Alleged 9/11 Plotters to be Tried in New York

Five men accused of plotting the September 11th attacks on America will now be tried in New York for their crimes.

Five men accused of plotting the September 11, 2001 attacks, including the self-proclaimed mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, will be tried in a civilian court in New York, The Washington Post reported Friday.

President Barack Obama had pledged to inform a Guantanamo military judge by Monday whether to try the men before US federal courts or military tribunals — a decision central to his plans to close the controversial facility.

I am not sure how I feel about this. Everyone says they should be tried for their crimes in a military court, or in Guantanamo, because we shouldn't give terrorists the same rights we Americans have in court.

But I ask the question, shouldn't there be a public display for the crimes against this country? If these men are guilty of their crimes, the government has yet to prove such quilt, shouldn't it be in open court for every American to witness?

Switzerland and the United States

From LewRockwell.com (http://bit.ly/2h0EsR):

"I must say, Switzerland is still more free (and better off) than most countries not because of direct democracy, but because of highly local democracy. The truth is, democracy only works within populations of under, say, 50,000 people, and only then if one is free to “vote with one’s feet” and move away to another town if one doesn’t like how things are going. High (true) literacy rates also tend to help a lot. Anyway, it also doesn’t hurt that about 75% of Swiss urban households and maybe 90% in the countryside are armed, often to the teeth. Meanwhile murder rates here are so low, statistics aren’t even kept. "

The United States can learn a lot from Switzerland. Flaws do exist, but they are a lot more manageable than the gigantic corrupt power structure that the Republicans and Democrats continue to perpetuate here in the United States.

In my opinion, there are 2 things that Citizens can learn, and should implement, from the Swiss- taken from this short LRC article:

1. Direct, decentralized democracy: Getting active on a local level will allow true conservatives and libertarians to make a difference in their towns and cities; this can then have a multiplier effect which could change states, and in turn put pressure on the federal government to give power back to the people.

2. A well-armed populace: Granted, many Americans do exercise their 2nd Amendment rights on a regular basis. However, at large, Rueters estimates that only 34 percent of the population of America own firearms. More responsible citizens should arm themselves in some fashion- both to protect against criminals and to protect against the ever-increasing tyrannical State.

Also, "a well-armed society is a polite society". Pushing for the repeal of all gun control laws is a good way for citizens to retake their rights under the Constitution.

If people begin to see how decentralized authority can benefit citizens, as well as better suit the cause of liberty, then America will begin emulating the Swiss more and more- in a good way.

Federal Reserve Chief Being Schooled on How to Deal With Congress

In the wake of popular support for Ron Paul's bill to audit the Federal Reserve, the chairman of this private organization has been taking tips and learning how to deal with members of Congress in order to maintain a good image of the Fed.

The New York Times reports on this secret schooling going on behind the scenes in order for the Fed to appear more liked by members of Congress and the American people at large.

For months, he had warned — without anyone on Capitol Hill appearing to listen — that a seemingly innocuous bill to let Congress “audit” the Fed would gravely threaten the central bank’s independence.

It was alarming enough that the bill’s author was Representative Ron Paul, the quixotic Texas Republican whose new book, “End the Fed,” had just landed on the best-seller lists. Despite vigorous protests by Mr. Bernanke, nearly 300 House lawmakers and 30 senators had endorsed Mr. Paul’s bill.

The Fed has taken a lot of heat in recent months for it's handling of economic issues, particularly that of the banker bailouts. This awoke many people, including members of Congress, and now the Fed is running scared of an audit, and rightfully so.

There will be a fight. Mr. Bernanke and the Fed has powerful political supporters, from lawmakers like Mr. Frank and President Obama. But the Fed chairman is being forced to nurture those ties as never before and to carefully map out which battles are worth fighting.

The Federal Reserve deserves the criticism that it is currently receiving. They have manipulated the free market, and currently nobody in Congress can check them on what they decide. They operate in secrecy and do it at the expense of the American people. They give big sums of money to banks overseas and won't disclose where the money goes.

Remember, a central banking system was one of the tenets of the Communist Manifesto. It was number 5:

Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.

How can we live in a free society where private banks control our money supply. It needs to be back in the hands of Congress and closer to the people where it once was.

Hell they are even hiring lobbyists to help push their agenda:

Last summer, the central bank hired an experienced Democratic hand and former lobbyist, Linda Robertson, to help deal with members of Congress. Mr. Bernanke alone has met privately with about 40 senators and many House members in the last few months, sometimes to dissect arcane policy issues and sometimes just to explain what he does in plain English.

A Well Traveled Road

By A.M. Novoa

If you were about to be hit by a bus would you want someone to warn you? Do you like it when the weather service alerts you about bad weather or perhaps an impending natural disaster?

There is something to be said about people with experience. We trust them to give us all sorts of information each day for our safety and security. Generally these are people that have experienced what we haven't so logically we look to them for information that might save us from what ever disaster they might have experienced. It seems fairly obvious that "if" indeed the current administration wants the best for America they might have glanced over the pond to see what results our European neighbors have had. Sadly, the heated fervor to shove this legislation, quickly and in the dark of night, down the throats of Americans is unwavering in the Pelosi led gang.

Most of Europe is where we are headed and there are many things the progressives don't want you to know about that. Or are we to assume that our leaders are just ignorant of what Universal Health Care has done to European countries? In either case it is shameful and flat out wrong.

Eline van den Broek of the CF&P Foundation clears up some of the confusion and misinformation (a.k.a lies) about Universal Health Coverage in the following video. It would be wise to listen to what she has to say. Albert Einstein once said, "The only source of knowledge is experience."

Call your Senators. Pass along this information to them. Hey, maybe they haven't heard?

Free Speech Rights Prevented Probe Into Hasan E-Mails, Investigators Say

The title of this article is not mine, rather it is from Fox News.  They ran an article that talked about the emails of the Ft. Hood shooter and how authorities were scared of probing him because of 1st Amendment claims.

From Fox News:

Investigators would have been "crucified" over First Amendment rights if they had launched a full-scale probe into e-mails Fort Hood massacre suspect Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan allegedly sent to a radical imam, a government investigator told Fox News.

The claim comes as the squabble grows among officials in different branches of law enforcement and the military over who knew what, and when, about Hasan's leanings toward faith-inspired violence, and amid charges that "political correctness" prevented officials from taking pre-emptive action.

Most people would just take this story on its face, but at Conservative for Change we can see past the cover and look right into the meat.

Why would the government say something like this? Well there is a simple answer to that question...they want to regulate free speech, and this tragedy is a way for them to achieve that goal.

By making a statement like this, they have only one goal, and that is to control the American people's lives. As tragic as this event was, it is no excuse for taking away our 1st Amendment rights.

I know people will call me crazy for saying this, but you just wait for the legislation that will come out of Congress that will give them more authority to monitor our emails and activity on the internet. After that call me crazy, because they are already working on these issues as we speak!

This tragedy just gives them the opening they need to complete their agenda of total control over free people.

Justice Dept. Asks For News Site's Visitor Lists

We all presume a right to privacy in this country, but when it comes down to the nuts and bolts our government couldn't care less about our rights and this story isn't any different.

From CBS News:

In a case that raises questions about online journalism and privacy rights, the U.S. Department of Justice sent a formal request to an independent news site ordering it to provide details of all reader visits on a certain day.

The grand jury subpoena also required the Philadelphia-based Indymedia.us Web site "not to disclose the existence of this request" unless authorized by the Justice Department, a gag order that presents an unusual quandary for any news organization.

Kristina Clair, a 34-year old Linux administrator living in Philadelphia who provides free server space for Indymedia.us, said she was shocked to receive the Justice Department's subpoena. (The Independent Media Center is a left-of-center amalgamation of journalists and advocates that – according to their principles of unity and mission statement – work toward "promoting social and economic justice" and "social change.")

What has this country become? We constantly claim that this isn't Russia, but we are losing our rights as free people everyday. Our government now wants to monitor our activity on the internet and for what? Why is it any of their business where I go on the internet and what I read?

When will we stand up and demand our rights back that are guaranteed to us in our founding documents? When will people get out of bed and demand answers to our questions?
