Obama is Clueless on Iran

Gary Fouse
fousesquawk

Homosexuals being hanged in Iran

The current strife under way in Iran represents a great opportunity to resolve this great issue in our favor-indeed in the favor of the world. Unfortunately, with the Obama administration in power, that opportunity will likely be squandered.

Obama, in typical Carteresque fashion, believes naively that he can negotiate with the mullahs of Teheran and come to some sort of peaceful resolution of the on-going nuclear issue. Iran not only ignores him but spits in his face. Meanwhile, the Iranian regime goes merrily along supporting terrorism by its proxies, Hamas and Hizbollah, while viciously repressing its own citizens who are being shot down in the streets, arrested, tortured and hanged.

The issue is not negotiation. The issue is not reform. The issue is regime change. Lest those of you Iraq-war weary pacifists charge me with advocating an invasion, I am not there yet. What is needed from America (and our feckless "allies" in Europe) is a number of things that could support the dissidents in Iran without rashly driving them back into the arms of the government by using military action.

First of all, Obama should have long ago condemned the oppressive action of the Iranian regime. Instead he has been dragged off his Hawaii golf course into making some sort of statement to the effect that we "stand behind the protesters".

Secondly, instead of talking about stronger sanctions, it is time for the West to apply sanctions, not gradually, but drastically. Whatever the Iranians need, make sure they don't get it. Freeze their overseas assets. We could also keep them from access to gasoline. Surprisingly, with all the oil they have, they don't have the means to refine it. If we need to start a blockade of Iran, then what are we waiting for?

Should we eventually attack Iran? The danger of that is that it could turn around all those protests in favor of the government. First of all, given what happened in 1979, I would not send US troops to Iran solely for the purpose of liberating the Iranian people. Eventually, however, the regime has to be stopped from getting and using nuclear weapons or passing them off to terrorists. Under Obama, I doubt that will happen. Israel may have to take out the reactors in their own self-defense-without US support and is sure to be condemned by the feckless "World Community" that wishes Israel would just go away so "we could all live peacefully with the Arab world" (and their oil), another naive assumption.

Finally, we should be giving the Iranian protesters whatever clandestine assistance we can to make them stronger. (We can pretend we are back in the Cold War.) One important resource they need is communications equipment to keep reporting to the outside world what the government is trying to suppress.

Now is not a time for pleas for meetings and negotiations. History tells us that you can't negotiate with evil. It is time for us to ratchet up the screws on Iran in any manner we can and let the people overthrow this odious regime. Will we get any help from the Russians and Chinese? Of course not, but we can't let that stop us.

But alas; with this administration, instead of the above, we pretty much know what we are going to get. None other than John Kerry will be going to Iran to sit down and talk with the leaders of this outlaw regime.

He'd better pack his umbrella.

(For all you UC-Santa Cruz Community Studies majors, that's a reference to Neville Chamberlain.) Who is Neville Chamberlain, you ask?

Never mind.

Ben Stein Calls Ron Paul Antisemitic on Larry King

In a show of idiocy Ben Stein called Ron Paul antisemitic because the Congressman holds the correct view that they attack us because we are over there.

Just shows that people still hold to the party line when time and again it is proven that blowback is the reason for 9/11 and all the attacks we still experience.

Recent Terrorist Attacks Mean More Liberties to Be Taken

With the recent foiled attacks on two commercial jet liners by supposed Al Queida linked terrorists, this means that airport security will be beefed up and more of our freedoms and liberties will be taken from us.

From NBC News:

Only 19 U.S. airports have received sophisticated imaging machines that can detect explosives hidden in clothing.

Security experts say the scanners may be the best defense in stopping attacks such as an attempt to bomb a Detroit-bound aircraft Christmas Day.

The Transportation Security Administration wants to install more of the devices, known as whole-body imaging scanners, but the agency has met resistance from civil liberties groups, passengers and some members of Congress.

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, the nation's third busiest, has just two of the machines.

We go through this every time something happens with an airplane. When the shoe bomber tried to blow up his shoe, we all had to start taking our shoes off at the screening points, and now this terrorist had expolisives in his underwear...so does that mean I have to start stripping down to my boxers? Or will they just install that device that will see right through your clothes and invade all of your privacy?

These incidents of terror have been very isolated over the past 9 years, but every time one happens we get the great promise by our government that they will step up security in order to protect us.

It is a game they play with us in order to have more control over our privacy and the way we live our lives. The American people fall for it every single time it happens and when we go to the airport we bitch the whole time because it is a nuisance.

Stand up for your God given liberty and freedoms because every day we live we lose them one by one.

As Benjamin Franklin once said "The person that sacrifices liberty for security deserves neither."

Senator Max Baucus Drunk on Senate Floor?

In a bit of irony, Democrat Senator Max Baucus lectures the senate on the need for health reform, while appearing to be drunk.

The Fear of Violence

The media and the government spin it one way, but what is the truth? Sean Malone put together this short video to pull back the veil on who and what is responsible for violence. He contends quite accurately that this "fear hysteria" that the media and the government is selling is one way to keep the public distracted from the real issues and divided. Mr. Malone writes essays and debate on art, philosophy, reason, skepticism & liberty at his blog http://seanwmalone.blogspot.com .

A Utopia of the Left

Stephen Crowder of PJ TV takes a tour of Detroit to give viewers a first hand look at the results of leftist governmental bureaucracy and out of control unions. If this is what a big government "Utopia" looks like you can keep it. This is very sad and was so preventable.

The End of Freedom in America

On Christmas Eve we saw the end of our God given rights to freedom and liberty. As a way to strip this away from our hands, the United States Senate passed their version of health care reform that will mandate every American citizen to have health insurance coverage or face the long arm of the law.

From AP:

WASHINGTON – In an epic struggle settled at dawn, the Democratic-controlled Senate passed health care legislation Thursday, a triumph for President Barack Obama that clears the way for compromise talks with the House on a bill to reduce the ranks of the uninsured and rein in the insurance industry.

The vote was 60-39, strictly along party lines, one day after Democrats succeeded in crushing a filibuster by Republicans eager — yet unable — to inflict a year-end political defeat on the White House.

At the White House, Obama called the vote historic, and said because of it, "we are incredibly close to making health insurance reform a reality in this country. Our challenge now is to finish the job."

My question is this...why does the government and President Obama think it necessary to provide me with health insurance?

First, I am my own person and I live my life how I see fit. However, the Federal government sees that as a nuisance to them and take it upon themselves to provide for me.

Freedom and Liberty rest on the principle of individualism and that is the cornerstone of American society. I and most Americans don't need a government health care plan forced down our throats.

Stand fast and fight this bill to the bitter end. They still have to take this thing into a conference and pass both houses again. Only then will it be signed by the President. It is time to start the phone calls and emails urging our representatives to actually represent the people. The people are against this effort and it is about time that they heard that in Washington before it is really to late.

Potential Census Update...

A census isn't only a tally of how many people are in a country but a nice way to gauge the population swaying in the country. It's rather shocking to see so many states mainly based below the Mason Dixon line are gaining seats. Yet all the states with big governments writ large like my home in New Jersey are losing a seat considering we've seen what happens when big government ponzi scams are perpetuated on a state level, but we of all people should know that we shouldn't export this to a nation wide.

The only question for various people including myself is how will the districts look in either a state level of government or the federal level. I know that my state only has a few seats that are worth watching considering the rest of them seriously are placed in such a beautiful way that each party enjoys a perpetual stalemate in where they are now.

"The Death of American Virtue"

by: Gary Fouse

A new book has just been released about the Kenneth Starr investigation of the Clintons, and it is already causing a stir. The book is entitled, "The Death of American Virtue-Clinton vs Starr" by Ken Gormley, a law professor at Duquesne University. Of particular interest is the alleged role of former Secret Service Director Lewis Merletti during the Lewinsky controversy.

In the book, Monica Lewinsky is quoted as accusing Bill Clinton of lying about their relationship during his grand jury testimony. It is also written that the Special Prosecutor's Office came very close to indicting both President and Mrs. Clinton over the Lewinsky perjury matter and Whitewater respectively. But it is the role of Merletti that could turn out to be the biggest bombshell. Merletti was the head of the White House security detail during Clinton's presidency. In 1997, he was appointed by Clinton to be the director of the agency. In 1998, Merletti went to court to shield his agents from being called to testify before the grand jury regarding the Lewinsky matter. He argued that due to the crucial protection role that the agency played, they should hold a privileged communication status that would prevent them from testifying about anything they had seen or become privy to while protecting the President. That argument was rejected by the Supreme Court.

Lewis Merletti

Merletti, now retired and working as an administrative executive with the Cleveland Browns, was interviewed by the New York Times last Friday and confirmed information in Gormley's book that he was pressured by the FBI to give them information about the president and Lewinsky.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/19/us/politics/19clinton.html

Merletti has made a strong accusation against the FBI in that he was reportedly pressured to tell them what he knew about the Lewinsky matter and accused of having made a deal with Clinton to protect the president in exchange for the top Secret Service post plus being "set up with women". Merletti vehemently denies this charge. The FBI agent who reportedly pressured Merletti has denied Merletti's claim.

So the question that has been raised is; did Merletti purposely cover up Clinton's dalliances in exchange for the top Secret Service post and any other favors, which, as previously stated, he vehemently denies? Of course, I am in no position to say.

Second question: Did the FBI, in fact, accuse Merletti of acting improperly and pressure him to fess up about Clinton and Lewinsky? Again, I am in no position to say. The agent in question has denied it, at least the way Merletti describes it.

Does it matter that the truth come out? Yes. Here we have a serious conflict between two major federal law enforcement agencies.

The Secret Service is a great and proud agency, with whom I worked from time to time as a DEA agent. I still have a certificate of appreciation from a previous Secret Service director, which I hang proudly on my wall.

If the FBI, in fact, accused Merletti of acting improperly as he himself charges, then the suspicions of the FBI of Merletti's actions are themselves serious though yet unproven.

From my own perspective, it would seem to me that if such a confrontation took place, due to Merletti's position, high-ranking FBI officials would also have been present-not just lower-ranking investigating agents. Any such confrontation with the head of another agency would have to involve the top levels of the accusing agency.

In addition, (as I have written before), it seems implausible to me that any woman could get next to any president without the knowledge of the Secret Service, if not their acquiescence. For any president to engage in secret affairs would in and of itself compromise the professionalism of the protective agents.

Secondly, to suggest that agents who guard the president should be shielded or prevented from testifying about what they see or hear due to some sort of confidential communication, executive privilege or any other excuse doesn't hold water in my view. If agents walked in on a president in the act of raping or killing someone, should they not be required to testify about that? Similarly, if agents hold personal and direct knowledge of information that would contradict a president's perjured testimony, why should they not be called to testify? There is simply no legal precedent for the claim that was made; thus, it was properly rejected by the Supreme Court.

To repeat, I am in no position to judge what is true or not true in regard to Mr Merletti's actions or the alleged meeting with the FBI. I do think that it bears clearing up, however. This latest controversy is just another chapter in what will be the final legacy of Bill Clinton as a president. Like all presidents, the final verdict on Clinton is still a couple of generations away. If there is anything to this aspect of Mr Gormley's book, I have a feeling it will be included in future analyses of the Clinton presidency. Hopefully, it will also inspire a course of instruction in the Secret Service's Basic Agent training program.

(I have a hunch it already has.)

A Sick Brand of Humor

What you are looking at is a Christmas Ornament that has the face of a transvestite Chairman Mao from the website http://biggovernment.com It is on the on the White House Christmas tree along with a display of Margaret Thatcher as a dowdy dominatrix and Dan Quayle as a ventriloquist’s dummy.

In the light of the 50-80 million Chinese deaths on Chairman Mao's hands, I personally find this kind of humor offensive, sickening and disturbing. You would think that the Obama machine's PR department would have a little more sensitivity than this or who ever is responsible for such an oversite. Then again, who are we talking about right?

Obama's face also appears on an ornament that shows him carved into Mt. Rushmore. What a humble guy.

Rand Paul Leading the Establishment Candidate

Rand Paul, son of Congressman Ron Paul, is leading the establishment opponent in the race for the Kentucky Senate race.

Paul is up 44-25 on Grayson. 39% of likely primary voters have a favorable opinion of him to 13% unfavorable while 22% view Grayson positively to 15% unfavorable.
Paul is winning the votes of conservatives by a 47-20 margin, while Grayson holds a 36-34 lead with moderates. Paul is having a particularly good amount of success with folks who think that the Republican Party in Washington has become too liberal- his lead with them is 54-18. Paul's support is universal across demographic lines, as he is up with men, women, voters in every region of the state, and every group of the GOP electorate
broken down by age....

Keep up spreading the message of Freedom and Liberty. It is essential we get people like Rand Paul into office to stop the spread of big government Republicans and Democrats.

Ron Paul on Ben Bernanke Being Selected Time's Person of the Year

Ben Bernanke was selected by Time Magazine as their person of the year for 2009. Apparently Time wishes to idolize a man who single handidly destroyed the United States economy.

Here is Congressman Ron Paul's take on the selection:

Lies...

After the "invention of the Internet" lie and the global warming hoax how much more deception has to take place before people begin to recognise the incredible lack of credibility that this man has? When will they also question the enormous amount of money that lines his pockets as a result of these falsehoods? It is staggering to think that anything he says is taken seriously and makes one question what kind of "spell" he has cast on thinking individuals that call themselves scientists. Fortunately there is real data to be examined that calls into question his fabrications. The question remains, is anyone listening and will anyone ever be held accountable for economic catastrophe that is possible in the wake of the signing of the Copenhagen treaty when it is all said and done?

U.S. National Debt Tops Debt Limit

The U.S. National Debt has reached its ceiling before Congress has the chance to increase it by $290 Billion.

From CBS News:

The latest calculation of the National Debt as posted by the Treasury Department has - at least numerically - exceeded the statutory Debt Limit approved by Congress last February as part of the Recovery Act stimulus bill.

The ceiling was set at $12.104 trillion dollars. The latest posting by Treasury shows the National Debt at nearly $12.135 trillion.

A senior Treasury official told CBS News that the department has some "extraordinary accounting tools" it can use to give the government breathing room in the range of $150-billion when the Debt exceeds the Debt Ceiling.

Were it not for those "tools," the U.S. Government would not have the statutory authority to borrow any more money. It might block issuance of Social Security checks and require a shutdown of some parts of the federal government.

You would think a story like this would be a wake up call for the politicians in Washington, but they will sit ideally by and waste more of our money because they will get their increase in the ceiling and spending will continue.

One could actually hope that the tools used would not be enough and the government would have to shut down in order to stop the recklessness of many in Washington.

This should be a wake up call for all Americans to open their eyes and see our government for what it really is...a complete and absolute waste!

Sign at Homeless Camp: 'Welcome to Obamaville'

Straight from my home town of Colorado Springs, Colorado comes a light on the state of the economy under President Barack Obama.

Residents of Colorado Springs, Colo., have a mystery on their hands: Who came up with the idea to erect a sign reading "Welcome to Obamaville" on the site of a homeless tent camp in the city?

The sign, which was visible from the Cimarron Street ramp to Interstate 25, clearly conveyed a political jab at rising unemployment under President Barack Obama, for it read in full, "Welcome to Obamaville – Colorado's fastest growing community."

Everyone in the national media is shocked by this sign, but can they challenge the truth behind the sign?

I would guess not...

There might go Mark Sanford's Chances in 2012....

Mark Sanford was a great Republican candidate for the Republican Party in 2012, he was smart, articulate and would have brought a lot of ease to his run considering his home state is an early primary spot in the run up for running for the Republican nomination. {South Carolina} It would have been rather a great race if I thought he anything left considering I don't think the social conservative wing would overlook the cheating on his wife and his wife filing for divorce just recently won't win him much support on that way.

And you know you're a good conservative when your own party is fighting against you to get stimulus funds and your party is the party wanting you to take it and your resistance has made national headlines. I'm only hopeful that he'll continue his good fight on the economic side of the fence and hopefully we can get more governors like him to being someone of principle and NOT a partisan hack.

The Geography of the Unemployment Crisis

This short video takes unemployment data and translates it into a map of the United States. Watch the numbers sharply and consistently rise as we enter 2009 under the Obama administration. According to the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are more than 31 million people currently unemployed. Obama to Accept Nobel Peace Prize as War President

In a bit of irony, President Barack Obama will accept the Nobel Peace Prize as he is preparing to escalate the war in Afghanistan by adding 30,000 plus troops to the fight.

From ABC News:

There is a bit of irony that just 10 days after announcing the deployment of 30,000 more American troops to Afghanistan, President Obama will accept the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize tomorrow in Oslo, Norway.

The award, which the Nobel committee said was for Obama's "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples," comes as he presides over wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and faces an American public that is increasingly skeptical about the U.S.-led efforts there.

It is time for reality to come back home and point out that Obama is no different then previous administrations. He says one thing, like "I am an anti-war candidate" but does another thing while in office.

Don't lie to us....rather tell us the truth....we are better equipped to handle the truth than a lie from a politician.

Obama Poll Numbers Fall Flat

Not even a year into his presidency, Barack Obama's poll numbers have taken a steep dive into the unpopular territory.

From Gallup:

PRINCETON, NJ -- Barack Obama's presidential job approval rating is 47% in the latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking update, a new low for his administration to date. His approval rating has been below 50% for much of the time since mid-November, but briefly rose to 52% last week after he announced his new Afghanistan policy.

What is all of this attributed to? Well the answer is simple...his socialistic policies are a hindrance to free men and women.

As children of God we have a right to Liberty and the government shouldn't stand in the way of that right. The policies of the past century have finally caught up with the American people and they have opened their eyes. They seem to start understanding that they don't need the government to take care of them and control their lives.

This is a revolution of ideas and the idea that Liberty and Freedom should prevail is taking hold!

Environmental Tyranny

by A.M. Novoa

All day long there were lots of stories covering the personal life and times of professional golfer Tiger Woods. Most of the mainstream media has gone into much less detail about something that could have a devastating economic impact on our nation in the form of monstrous taxes. Today the United Nations Climate change conference opened in the Danish capital Copenhagen. Interestingly enough A London Telegraph report reveals how the combined CO2 footprint of the conference will amount to no less than 41,000 tons, equal to that produced by an African country over the same period.

Right on time, President Barack Obama's environmental agency ruled today that greenhouse gases represent a danger to public health and can be regulated under previous US laws. The EPA has declared carbon dioxide dangerous and this will probably result in the government requiring businesses that emit carbon dioxide and five other “greenhouse gases” to make costly changes in machinery to reduce emissions. They do not need to run this by Congress and no law will be enacted. They can take this to ridiculous lengths if they wish and they probably will.

Carbon dioxide is what we exhale by the way. Plants breathe CO2 like we breathe oxygen. Plants, animals and people all depend on one another. Perhaps it is just my imagination but it is beginning to sound like "life" is a problem for these elitists. Cap and trade is also on its way. The Obama administration continues to brush off and refuse to acknowledge the recent Climategate scandal which showed scientists "cooking" the temperatures for 10 years among other inflammatory actions! Al Gore continues to spread the fear and the need to accomplish all of this in record time.

In this video Lord Christopher Monckton, outspoken critic of global warming theory and a man who knows what he is talking about, speaks with RT's Laura Emmet. Lord Monckton will be speaking at Copenhagen. Lets hope and pray common sense prevails.

People Sign Petition to "Increase Inflation to 100%" and Cause Hyperinflation

We all know that most Americans that live amongst us have no idea about the issues that affect their everyday lives, and this video showcases that theory:

Start educating as many people as you can before it is too late.

Obama Holds Close Door Meeting on Government Openness

In a story of irony, President Barack Obama held a closed door meeting to the public on the transparency of government.

From the AP:

WASHINGTON — It's hardly the image of transparency the Obama administration wants to project: A workshop on government openness is closed to the public.

The event Monday for federal employees is a fitting symbol of President Barack Obama's uneven record so far on the Freedom of Information Act, a big part of keeping his campaign promise to make his administration the most transparent ever. As Obama's first year in office ends, the government's actions when the public and press seek information are not yet matching up with the president's words.

"The Freedom of Information Act should be administered with a clear presumption: In the face of doubt, openness prevails," Obama told government offices on his first full day as president. "The government should not keep information confidential merely because public officials might be embarrassed by disclosure, because errors and failures might be revealed, or because of speculative or abstract fears."

Openness in the government is the key to keeping tyranny away, and so far nothing has been done to reverse this course by the current administration.

They have been one of the most closed off Presidencies in awhile, and that includes the Bush Administration.

It is time for the American people to take back their government....R3VOLUTION!

President Obama- the Neocon's new mascot

After Obama's speech Tuesday, the neoconservatives and neoliberals who had doubted this president were pacified (pun intended). Meanwhile, those who oppose war and support peace and just war (whether on the Left, Right, Libertarian, etc...) are given even more reasons to oppose this warhawk-in-chief just like they opposed the last one.

Obama admits that this war will not ultimately be won by how many boots are the ground (how do you win a "war on Terror" anyway? It's a tactic.), but when the Aghan people learn to defend themselves. (Sound familiar?) The truth is that the United States has already spent an inordinate amount of money and lives fighting in Afghanistan. The responsible, Constitutional, and moral thing to do would be to come home. The fact that Obama has already reneged on his withdrawal date should show the American people how committed the president is to special interests, and how uncommitted he is to bringing our troops home safely.

Jon Stewart has it right in this video- and I normally don't agree with most of what he says (video is embedded in the blog post in the link.)

http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/044347.html

I gotta agree with some of the leftists later in the video- 100,000 troops to go after what, 100 Al Queda?

Our hegemony is crashing around us, and as we continue to pour more money and human lives into Afghanistan, the “graveyard of Empires”, it will be on Obama’s watch- Bush's horrendous reign has ended, only to be topped by the "antiwar" president.

Ron Paul, once again, has it right: “We’re doing exactly what Bin Laden wanted us to do.” It’s also how the USSR was brought to its knees- policing the world and trying to win an impossible war in Afghanistan. If we fail to learn the mistakes of history, we will quickly go the way of Gorbachev.

We Can't Afford It

Sometimes you just have to face facts. We have had decades of our government spending money they didn't have, buying what they couldn't afford and splurging every chance they got. Our leaders have been incredibly irresponsible and short sighted. This has had a ripple effect to the American people and businesses and many have behaved in a similar fashion. These actions have had devastating consequences for our country! As a result we are all having to tighten our belts and make uncomfortable and sometimes painful choices and changes. However, our government is unwilling to do that. Somehow they feel are above that and such modifications don't apply to them and they continue to recklessly spend and propose to spend more and more of our tax dollars. Not much seems to thwart their irresponsible agenda.

We don't have the money to pay for this war. That is the bottom line. This war will further devastate our ailing economy. We will not get back on our feet by spending more money that we don't have and taxing individuals and families that are already struggling very hard to make ends meet.

Irregardless of whether there is agreement ideologically or not about the reasons to fight in Afghanistan someone in our government needs to have an ounce of common sense and look before they leap. Many on the right and the left don't want to hear this but Congressman Paul is correct. This man is brave enough to tell the truth against critical opposition on both sides of the aisle. Hopefully someone is listening.

Get Politics Out of Science!

That is the idea journalist Rex Murphy of Canadian Broadcasting Corporation is proposing. Murphy is a saying what intelligent people everywhere have been thinking. Clean science up! His message is in stark contrast to that of MSNBC's propaganda filled rants of Keith Olbermann. He uses common sense, intellegence and truth to make his case. We need more Rex Murphys in the world.

Bravo Mr. Murphy!

Olbermann Attempts to Dismiss Climategate

MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann says, “cluster” Fox made up Climategate. Socialistic propaganda puppet, Olbermann, says that the comedian John Stewart is central to Fox’s attempt to deny climate change because Stewart poked fun at Al Gore and the Climategate scandal. He sure does give Fox a lot of undeserved credit. Fox certainly promotes a certain ideology, as does MSNBC, but they didn't find the emails nor did they leak them to the public. In fact, I would go as far to say they haven't covered them enough! If you have paid very close attention to the companies that sponsor Fox you will notice that they promote global warming. Look a little closer and you will find out that many of the programs aired on Fox also insert the false "religion" of global warming into their storylines. Climategate is one of the biggest scandals ever and bloggers have been all over it with more details than I have seen Fox even begin to cover.

It really is too late at this point to try and dismiss Climategate as a "made up" conspiracy. No thinking person is buying into that. When there are investigations and people are stepping down from their respective positions that were a huge influence on the pseudoscience of global warming there is something seriously wrong. For some reason Al Gore has decided not to speak at Copenhagen as well. Could that have something to do with Climategate?

Nice try, but the public is not as naive as you believe Mr. Olbermann. This time it was just pathetic.

Jim DeMint Grills Bernanke During Confirmation Hearing

FedThe lead Senate cosponsor of S. 604 did a great job today taking on the Fed chairman toady. Here is the video:

Time just does NOT get it...

Enter text here. The U.S should mind its own business internationally and let other counties get alone the best they can on their own.

According to that question that doesn't sound like isolationism, that sounds a like a question based on the wisdom of the Founding generation in respect to how to be in the world stage. Are things really turning around into that considering Time Magazine claims that's isolationist, but they in my humble opinion really need to redefine the terminology and seriously call non-intervention when they see it.

Bernie Sanders Puts Hold On Bernanke Nomination

Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont has put an official hold on the nomination of Ben Bernanke to be reappointed as Chairman of the Federal Reserve.

From CNN:
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- On the eve of what's expected to be a tough confirmation hearing Thursday, one senator has thrown up a political roadblock intended to stymie Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke's second term.

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., said late Wednesday that he will put a hold on Bernanke's nomination. A hold is an informal practice in which a senator informs the majority leader that he does not want a measure or nomination to reach the floor for a vote.

This is a bold move on the part of a socialist in the Senate. Bernanke has run us into the ground, as have every other Fed chairman that believes in a fiat style of monetary policy.

It is time that the Fed be held accountable for its actions since 1913, and more recently for its handling of the economic crisis over the past year.

We need to End the Fed and bring sound money back into the market. No more turning the printing presses on so they can finance their big government programs and wars.

Why Can't They Just Leave Us Alone....

The government in it's infinite wisdom is trying it's hardest to ruin another sliver of economic liberty.

The Institute for Justice is a great organization that needs a lot of great press, considering for all the tireless and great work they do on behalf of ordinary Americans just trying to survive the numerous rules, regulations and pains that governments put us through so that we can earn an honest living.

Chris Matthews Calls West Point the "Enemy Camp"

I might have my reservations about prolonging the war in Afghanistan and Iraq, but all I can say about this statement from Chris Matthews is wow...

Adam Kokesh: Capitalism = Freedom

The most feared words in the eyes of the government...Capitalism and Freedom. Both of which are interchangeable.

Afghanistan Was Won Years Ago...Why are We Still There?

The President announced last night that he would be increasing the troop levels in Afghanistan by 30,000. This is an attempt to push back against the insurgents that have popped back up and are now causing troubles for U.S. troops.

But here is my question: Wasn't Afghanistan won years ago? Why are we still there?

First, I am not a neo-conservative that believes we should be policing the world and taking "the fight to the enemy" while wasting trillions of dollars. I am a traditional conservative that thinks logically and doesn't buy into the crap that we are fed by the two major parties and the mainstream media.

With that we have made a mistake in Afghanistan. And I want you to think back...

Remember how back in 2001-2002 we went into that country, beat the shit out of them, and won the war? We helped Afghanistan set up democratic elections and they elected Hamid Karzi as their leader. We accomplished every objective we set out to accomplish, but we stayed. We stayed in a country way beyond than we needed to. Why?

Well the answer is simple:  we stayed so the Bush Administration would have an excuse to continue the "War on Terror" and now Obama is staying the course. Think about it...as long as we are engaged overseas, the government of the United States can claim our liberties for the sake of"national security." They can strip away our freedoms because "the nation is at war." What the American people failed to notice amongst all the government's lies is the war was won a long time ago.

This theory is called blowback:  We have over stayed our visit, and now there is an insurgency causing problems, which allows our government to continue the war mindset and keep our freedoms in their back pockets.

Even With ClimateGate, White House Still Holding to the Line that Global Warming Exists

In the wake of climategate, or the hacking of computers in Europe that show that climate change is a fake perpetrated to bring about global government, the White House is still holding to the line that global warming exists and is a real threat.
The White House on Monday made exceptionally clear that it wants nothing to do with the furor over documents that global warming skeptics say prove the phenomenon is not a threat.

Despite the incident, which rocked international headlines last week, climate science is sound, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs stressed this afternoon, and the White House nonetheless believes "climate change is happening."

"I don't think that's anything that is, quite frankly, among most people, in dispute anymore," he said during Monday's press briefing.

When are they going to pull their heads from their a@#?!! It is happening right before their eyes, and they just can't believe that American people have caught on to their lie.

The only reason they would spew this stupidity is for the passage of Cap and Trade. They are still trying as hard as they can to pass this carbon tax so they can hold more power over the American people.

The only problem now is the truth stands in their way!
