Republicans are poised to gain big numbers in the House and the Senate, but apparently the New York Times see's it differently:
NYT LEAD MONDAY: Both parties see possibility of bigger Republican wins in House than either side was talking about -- even few days ago... Developing...
This could mean big things for the country and the Republican Party. It is up to them to realize the power the people of this country are entrusting them with, and it is their duty to hold up on their end.

Well said!
ReplyDeleteThe GOP had better get it through their thick heads that declining voter enthusiasm in past elections was related to Republicans compromising to the extent of which they stood for the same big government and so-called progressive nonsense as their competitors.
It wasn't a result of them being "the party of no" as Soros-financed Republicans like John McCain would have us believe.
If they don't listen to "we the people", we'll be voting them out quickly.
The problem is corruption. The federal government has been granted more power by federal courts - power not properly granted by the Constitution. Every other country that has tried extreme experiments in centralized power has failed. So, why would the US take such an illogical course of action. Before the failure (and even during the collapse), centralized power can be used by a smaller group to make themselves rich at the expense of everyone and everything else. That's where we are now. Of course the direction of the country is wrong. The most ardent supporters know that. But they don't care how much suffering it causes others. They'll make out like bandits - just exactly like bandits.
