Mandatory DUI Checkpoint Blood Tests Coming to Florida

When we crazy Libertarians talk about the government trying to rule your life and control every single aspect of it and violate your constitutional rights, these are the types of stories that give us credit.

The state of Florida is now holding mandatory DUI checkpoint blood tests for its citizens while they are out driving.

Here is the video describing this new found power for the Florida government:

We are suppose to be protected under the United States Constitution, but it seems that governments around the country and including our Federal government have no care for our rights as free citizens and by taking our blood they are violating that right to the highest power.

This is something that needs to be protested and if I were living in Florida I would refuse and let them take me to jail and get the best lawyer I could find and sue in state court calling for their political heads.

Stand up to governmental abuse of your rights...fight for what is truly yours...freedom!

  3. Yea I think she should go to Russia if she wants to live like that!!! Get educated PLEASE!!! I don't appreciate being made to stop in the first place, and if I was drinking then I wouldn't be driving!!! So why do I have to subject myself to unwarrented search, and I would never say yes to this never!! Think CONSTITUTION FIRST people! They can pull the stupid people over that drink by just watching the way they drive!! Too much government with a big brother attitude!

  5. If you don't want your blood taken, then don't refuse 'to blow'. What about the rights of the people who are killed/injured by these jackasses every day/month/year? Normally I would side with you all, but this one I have to differ in my opinion.

  6. Anonymous....your a complete moron. If you dont exhibit signs of drinking, i.e. swerving, sharp turn lane changes, drifting or smell of alcohol when at the check point, then they have absolutely no right to take your blood or make you blow into a damn breath analysis machine period!!! You have to have probable cause to do any of these things is the point. Simply driving on the road during the day or late at night doesnt matter. Even for a ticket they have to have something to stop you in the first place. So a mandatory blood test is a violation of your Fourth Amendment rights period. (right to be secure in your person!!!!!!!!!) Wake up idiot. The two ways your rights are subverted and taken away are stepping stones approach and problem reaction solution. Grow a set. Oh and if you dont like these comments and dont think I dont back up what I say, Id be happy to forward my address to you and invite you on down for a cup of coffee to "discuss" it you weak pathetic jelly for a backbone piece of garbage. Good call Tracy!!!

  7. It is a violation of your rights for the "state" to even have police checkpoints. Period.
Anyone that agrees with them would rather have a false sense of security over their freedom and I prefer not to associate myself with those who give over the freedoms our soldiers are supposedly fighting to maintain.

  8. This is a false sense of security. It can be assessed based on the actions of the person alone.

  9. I think this move by the government of Florida is a little too much. While it is depressing that the number of people getting arrested for DIY is growing by the second, this strategy can fall under violation of rights.
