Ryan's Plan to Repeal and Replace Obamacare.
by Brent lawler
American Spectator has a post that has brought my attention to House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan's "Guide to repeal and replace"
Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan has outlined his "plan" for Obamacare in a speech given at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University – Palo Alto, California. While his speech was well delivered and had many good points, I am left to wonder: When will the Republicans ever wake up to the fact that we don't want them to "replace" obamacare with more government controlled healthcare.
Of course that is the dirty little secret that establishment Republicans don't want you to know.....They want government control of the medical industry too, as long as it's them in control.
Ryan says: "At its core, the health care problem is one of inflation, driven by the overutilization of services, dramatic underpayments, and massive inefficiency."
He is correct, but where does he think these problems arise from? It is the fact that government is involved at all that is the root cause of these issues. We can only manage the decine of the medical industry as long as government is involved. Just like everything else they touch, it's only a matter of time before it is in complete disarray, and becomes a subsidized failure since we are left with no alternative. Get government out and watch the industry flourish, innovation explode, and prices decline.
Let real free markets and competition fix this. I don't want a "better" plan executed by government. I want repeal....you can keep your replace.
